Yeah, mine was the same way. I thought maybe they fell off, so I was shaking the box like a maniac in the aisle. I guess that's the way they are, then.

The fang used to have 2 missles per landing skid if I recall correctly. and the claw I htink had also 2 missles per wing in the original version

Ahh that is right, it had that bomb that has to be carried by the pilot rofl, I did not like the little cannards that came out, they eventually got really loose and would not stay put!

The handle bars on the new one are way better too, its more of a powered glider/ jet pack now the way it needs to be. The landing gear was also always silly to me, how the hell would you land it? Your junk and face would get smashed into the runway/grass/mud :(

Besides you always see them standing up before taking off in them in the cartoon lol

I've been checking all over here in Houston, I have found each of the latest comic packs but no Black Destro. I have not however found any Wave 10 figs at all. Haven't seen a one. Either Ike has slowed shipments to this area so we have not gotten them or I'm just way to slow at getting to the stores when they do have them. I am seeing plenty of Wave 9 and some revision figs and have found some older comic packs but no Wave 10.

I haven't even started getting the vehicles yet so haven't been looking for those, but let me know if you are looking for those and if I find them I can pick them up and ship if you anyone is needing them that bad. Haven't seen anyone on here yet from Houston, otherwise I would say we could meet up.

Btw, I've checked multiple Krogers, TRUs, Targets, WalMarts and HEBs. I've been told to check out Kohl's but haven't been able to yet.

Glad to see someone else from Houston! I too have been checking alot of stores and managed to get a few of wave 10 from HEB and comic stores. I got my BBTS order today also but no clear Wraith. I also found a wave 3 Fang and Claw at Walmart but no wave ten sightings at major retail. I will check some more stores tommorow and will post if I find something.

Wraith is a frenchman that was tyring to find out who would be "cool" to join so he went and joined Destro, a freind of Destro in a stealth suit is a freind of mine!

The paraviper or Cro Master/Mutt will probabley be the most popular. Wraith is only popular to the extreme collectors due to his retarded variant.

Least favorable will be the Duke, however once I opned my second one I like dhim alot, fits well with my opened TF Flint....still need a new revision Flint if anyone find some lemme know!

I'm guessing the other thread will still go strong, because the only part of Texas that doesn't have a thread is Central(Austin, San Antonio, etc.). Honestly, I think we should get a Central too....just like Cali.

And I have a Wave 10 case coming to me from EE, but I still can't to get them at retail.

I went on a hunt lastnight. Went to the Wal Marts on Trenton, University and Alamo and they didn't have anything old ones only they sure did have a lot of TF Flints though. Oh and Trenton had the vehicles but they were sliced open from the box cutters they use. Ugh !Gonna start checking out them H.E.B's too now. :)

I am greatly disturbed that Wave 10 hasn't been found in any of the major retail stores in Texas yet. HEB may count because it is only in Texas, but other than that... just grocery store finds. This is becoming ridiculous, people's mouth watering for some WAVE 10 and we might get a smell instead of the whole damn steak!!

I am here to tell you now... don't worry about Central Texas. We don't have crap, and I am not saying that just to keep ya'll from invading the territory and buying all the Joes. If they get lucky in Waco, they may restock the Joes once a month. The people in FT Hood get all the Joes in the Temple, Harker Heights, and Killeen area. Other that that, there's only South and North Texas.

I got my shipping email on 10/2, although it shipped on 10/1. I placed my order back on 8/12. I ordered revision 1 of wave 10, not the plain vanilla version, though.

That confused me, I ordered the Internet case with the extra troopers but it seemed like they listed that one as the vanilla version. Oh well, I got my shipping notice from HTS today, hopefully I'll have it by early next week.

I'm glad to see the NT thread. I like the guys south of us, but don't have time to scroll through their postinga and remember who is in the south when they don't have their proper location listed on the side of the page. But the people seem more than cool. Especially those who are helping the northern Yanquis find new stuff.

Getting back to the NT meet-and-greet, I'm all for someplace in Grapevine (the mall would be fine). I think an eating establishment with some space for all of us is also good. Then, we need a day and time. After that I think an agenda would be cool. Have everyone introduce themselves with basic info (name, rank, ser no., etc) and maybe a special fact about themself and Joes. Have some open discussion and even go around and have show and tell as well. We'll need pictures of course. That's my 2¢.

Frisco Wal-Mart on Ohio has had the same 7 or 8 cases of Wave 9 clogging the pegs for more than a month. Minus all the BATs and Snow Serpents of course. It looks like they put out a case of Wave 5 CPs, but there were 2 gold head Destros and no BHDs. They also had the same 3 Armadillo packs.

But even if they did have anything, I would have to pass as the toy allowance is presently in limbo. For similar reasons, I'm going to have to pass on the first NT meet-and-greet. Hopefully I'll be in better shape when you guys decide to have another one.

The desert/artic packs have been appearing at random non-descript comic book stores, if you have any that may have the ability to order these things, you may want to check them out. I have not found any in the DFW area that even carry any joe stuff and they told me they do not have a buyer agreement to get anything from them so gl!

North Texas is a pretty large area, and it might be easier for some people to travel a shorter distance to a local informal get together.

For instance, those of us from the Plano, Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson areas could meet up at the Plano Center as Drew suggested - or afterwards (it ends at 4PM on Sunday) and get together at a local restaurant for snacks and "Joe talk" (and, of course, anyone else who wants to!!! - The more the merrier, remember :-)

And we could have another meet up in Grapevine for those of us in that area.

And another one in _________ (name the place!) for those of us in that area.

Drew, would you be willing to organize the Plano one?
Magick, would you be willing to organize the Grapevine one?

Anyone else want to also put one together?

I will try to go to as many as I can whereever they are held - Meeting others who share this hobby is awesome!

Cool, thats were I found my Claw/Fang. The one right off the beltway,and I have seen a crap load of wave 5 Destro cp but I have yet to find a BHD "in the wild" lol. I had to go to ebay for one and managed to snag another off of HTS when they were available.

Still no wave 10 sightings though, but I did pick up some Transformers Universe figs today that I have had my eye on for a while but now they dropped the price down to 7.77 at walmart! I think it is kind of crazy that they are asking 6.84 for Joes and you get alot less plastic. IMO that is really hard for Hasbro to justify thier pricing....

because south tx always gets their waves after arizona and cali and befor north tx. so i do my trades with cali arizona and south tx.it is a unity thing we all work together

I agree with Snowjob, its just a second click to a different thread. It is not like we just exiled them to the moon or something. Hell you can use this thread as your primary and North Texas as the secondary, it really makes no difference....

Brownsville and all of those cities anyway are like out of state practically LOL they are far. 300-500 miles away you will need to contact that person and have them ship you something anyway. I am crazy enough I might drive and meet up with those guys on a weekend, but to date I have not heard of them having anything extra they would let us buy form them to bring back to the metroplex to pass out.

I say still post sightings in this thread so all of us Texas Joe fans know what is being found in our state.

To get back on topic, I got a non-25th carded Spirit and Snake Eyes (wave 5) at the College Station Walmart. I left a non-25th carded wave 1 Snake Eyes w/Timber and wave 2/3 vehicles - AWE with Leatherneck, Firebat with AVAC, and Fang/Claw at the CS Walmart. I didn't get the vehicles since the sides of the boxes were cut when the case was opened.

We've never optioned to break up the state into five pieces, we shouldn't split up the hunt into three regions. My two cents on the issue. I don't mind the split up.. gives me a couple more threads to look at, plus now the sightings will be regional. So instead of seeing "Wave 10 out in retail" and thinking you could run down to Wall yworld and get them, you will know that they are out in south Texas..and can either brib one of them to pick some up for you..or wait till someone posts that they have them here in North Texas.. I use the general Texas thread for just overall conversation on stuff now.

So I decided to strip down my 2 serpentors, one from the carded single and one form my DVD set and here is how it turned out.

Moved his Cobra hood over to his better colored body (btw this is glued to the backpack hole on the back of the DVD serpentor, sucked big time gettig it loose) to the single card, some chest harness that adds some serpentine details around his pectorals, and his spear staff and buddy snake, Looks hella better than it did on the washed out colors on the DVD pack Serpentor!

I took apart the Serpy I had from the vehicle packs kit bashed it with the single pack one so that I would have one with a fixed crotch.. now he can sit straight. The only painting that needed to be done is the lower abdomen since the one with the chariot isn't painted.

I think that's what the original creator of the thread wanted, but 4 threads for the same state is getting overboard. So I think it should be expanded to cover Houston, Corpus, and all surrounding areas. Just my opinion..

Went to Super Target at Campbell and Coit this morning, they had a FANG/CLAW, Firebat, and an AWE Striker. I picked up a BHD CP (which I'm sure I'll get crap for later on) for trading, but I left the rest behind. I hope one of you guys can score that! No Wave 10 though. I don't remember if you guys were talking about it here or I read it elsewhere, but it looks like the FANG only has 2 missles, both of which are facing outwards on the package.

Wow the guys on this board work fast. I went there 2 hours after you posted and I only saw the A.W.E left. I really wanted the Fang/claw. Heck they sure did have a bunch of Rattlers and Conquests though.
I am guessing in a few more weeks these firebats and fang/claw's will be collecting dust on the shelves since we will have some by then.

Yeah there was one Rattler and three Conquests. That was only the 2nd time I've seen the Rattler in the wild, but then again I haven't been hunting at Target since I got mine.

What would be better though, is if the Firebats and FANGs come back on HTS while the FALL20 coupon for 20% off and free shipping is still active.

The reason the Sharc is so hard to find is because the cases being spotted in stores are wave 3 cases, which has the following breakdown:

1 X AWE Striker with Leatherneck
1 X Fang & Claw
1 X Firebat with AVAC

Have not seen any Flints, Stalkers, Beacheads, Fireflys or Storm Shadows from that case. Only case I seen on a pallet was WAV4 08 on the side of the box as listed above...but out of 9 stores only one had a a single revision case out for re-stock last night :(

Current revision cases at varying stores are one with CG Trooper, SE Black Commando, IG Destro, and another different one with SE + white timber, B.A.C.C, and Snow Job jumbled in with other peg warmers like wild bill, Python Officers, CC + Red Element and Spirit re-card. Whats annoying is the case I looked at last night had 2 wild bills + a TF FLint, that case shoul dhave that Wave 1 Flint, we have WAAAYY to many TF Flints now.

I too would like 2 Flints from that set, have the others.

Wave 9 Rev 3 is in Dallas as of this morning. I'll PM you were to go if you can go right now. I already picked up the Flint and one of the two sets of Wave 6 comics. I know they still have Stalker and SE w/Timber. In fact, there are a couple of stores with SE w/Timber right now since version 1 SE & Flint are in several revision cases coming out.

(I don't want to say online yet because I shot TinglingSensation a txt earlier so he could try to get the comic packs)

Thos are wv 2 vehicles with a wv1 vehicle in the case? what is hasbro distribution thinking? it could have been called wv2 rev. 1Grrr. Yes the hiss is popular.. I see them all the time warming shelves though.

North Texas is a pretty large area, and it might be easier for some people to travel a shorter distance to a local informal get together.

For instance, those of us from the Plano, Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson areas could meet up at the Plano Center as Drew suggested - or afterwards (it ends at 4PM on Sunday) and get together at a local restaurant for snacks and "Joe talk" (and, of course, anyone else who wants to!!! - The more the merrier, remember :-)

And we could have another meet up in Grapevine for those of us in that area.

And another one in _________ (name the place!) for those of us in that area.

Drew, would you be willing to organize the Plano one?
Magick, would you be willing to organize the Grapevine one?

Anyone else want to also put one together?

I will try to go to as many as I can whereever they are held - Meeting others who share this hobby is awesome!

I'm ok with some of the organizational duties but having something right after the Plano show on Sunday is out for me. It takes me about 2 hours to pack-up and then I have to deliver my stuff home to Little Elm and return the rental truck.

As for things at the show, by all means, anyone who stops by my booth (Hardly Used Toys, look for the big black and yellow sign) can store some of their swag (assuming I have under the table space), meet me and other tankers, sell some of their stuff they don't want/need (to myself or other dealers/attendees), or possibly sell items on consignment if I have any space. Ask for Drew (my buddy Mark will be there assisting me). Also, if you need help with any of the other dealers I might be able to help you in that area too. I know most of them pretty well. Hope to see lots of you there!

Well it's nice to see that they are slowly working their way over here. First McKinney and now Plano.. the problem I have is that the pegs are filled with all the other waves of CP's around me.. so it may be a long while before I see the ones I need.

I saw the revision with SE/Timber, BA CC and Snowjob last night.. looked as if the case was stepped on.. every figure they pulled out had a warped card. If you looked at it flat from the bottom or top.. the card was in the shape of an S. LOL

Picked up a Snow Job for custom work. Decided to take a small break from my specialty vipers and work on an original character.. He's going to be an Arctic Sniper. (Was watching Shooter the other day and it got me to thinking. ) ; )


So as of toys, i have found Jack and $#it.... I am getting most of my new stuff from all you guys on here. Well stuff from the south.. a few states over and the internet.. Retail has pretty much become a bust..

Cool.. I think it's going to be awhile before anything over here gets something new. Well minus one or two places... that I will still stop by. Lake Worthless is not in that catagory... they won't be getting anything new for awhile according to the Toy Dept. manager. they still have cases of revisions , older CP cases and Vehicle wv 1 cases on a palet in the back. Saw them pull it out last night about freaked till I was reading what everything was.

Called up there today and talked to the manager about it and they said that they are not allowed sell partial cases, cause they can't put open cases on pallets that go in the back. so all these things that were on that pallet are for restock.. unfortunately.. they won't need to restock for quiet some time... sucks for me.. but what can you do.

Yeah I have all but given on up on trying to catch the pallets since there is only usually one box of single carded ever out anymore and it is all stuff that is already pegged. Wave 10 will show up at Walmart in a few months at this rate so I am thinking online is the only way to go now. I think thats why there has been such a slow down in this stuff going off the shelf as those few of us buying these have already gotten everything or ordered it already. Or they just made way to much and Walmart just blindly ordered 450 pallets of every wave box since they have no idea what figures people are looking for and probabley really don't care. To the normal shopper, a figure is a figure not a whole collection...

Sorry, I'll try harder to tap my inner a-hole scalper next time. For the moment I was just happy to find Wave 6 complete easily and giving TS a head's up since I probably "rob" all the stores nearby him constantly of the new stuff first. LOL.

I need to shower, finish two papers, and keep painting my customs in-between to give my eyes a rest. I'm finishing up the sealing job on the first Serpent custom right now after grabbing some gray for his snow shoes and missile launcher.

Checked out the new Target off Blanco Rd./410 tonight and they didn't have anything new. They did have a Conquest, the older DVD packs, and the same ole revison pack figures.

While in the area, checked the TRU right across the street and same thing. No new SRO packs. They did have several of the 5 packs if anyone needs them.

My last hurrah (for now) came in yesterday, I ordered everything that's supposed to come in the Internet W10 case from HTS last Friday and I got my stuff in yesterday. 1 each of Duke, Mutt/Junk (the best of the wave, in my opinion), and Wraith (non-variant), and 2 Para-Vipers and 2 Bazooka Troopers. As an added bonus, they gave me a 2nd Croc Master! I don't feel too guilty about that one, they screwed up my last order big time and I'm still not too happy about that. For the most part, they were all on opener cards which is fine with me since I'm an opener.

So anyone need a Croc Master on an bent card? I'd trade it for a Para-Viper or a Snow Serpent!

Yeah, it seems to be very cheap. Doesn't have as much detail to the underside that the original has.

It's smaller, flimsy, and an almost a solid piece of plastic on its own. The original CLAW was a well-built glider that could be sent off on its own, this is more like a fancy jetpack.
