I'm not in bad need, I was just going to pick up a BAT or two if I saw them for custom (battle damage) work. Isn't a big deal, just funny to find out why things are missing some weeks. ;-)

I picked up another HISS driver and two Henry Jones (one for me, one for a friend) at Super Walmart Coit/Bush. No Col Volgue or Elsa figures. I really don't like the new store layout at this store and Super Walmart 121 Frisco. It's way too long per aisle, looks overstuffed, and the small Joes are back to one line of 3 or 4 pegs.

BTW, Walmart Midway had all 3 new Wave 5 CPs the other day. They should at least have the non-IG/Destro sets still. I typically don't mention any place if its been more then 8 hours since I went because you all know how fast stock changes around here.

i been looking for col. volgue and elsa too all i see is jones sr, young indy . i was luck to find the knight awhile back ago i have a feeling that col.volgue will like the bats

I've been checking around since I know you've been looking for both of them. Jones Senior was spur of the moment for me because it might look funny to have Cobra Commander holding him hostage while behind the speaker stand.

LOL, so it's YOU cleaning out Wal-Mart in Frisco! I'm up there almost every day and they must've put out 5 cases of W9, but I haven't seen any BATS or Snow Serpents. It looks like they also had 2 cases of W5 CPs, but no IGs/Destros.

I hit Bryan Walmart at lunch and they have the non-25th Duke w/flag, Rock n' Roll, and HISS Driver. I'm still trying to determine what is in this case revision. From the figures I've seen today, this is what seems to be in the revision case:

Sometimes 3 and 4 cases of them. If you ever wanted a Python Officer army, now is the time to do it. Still no luck finding the new TRU sets. Everyone seems to have additional Night Watch and SE w/Ninja sets when they pull the extra boxes in back.

Also didn't see any new Indy wave figures or Halo 3 Series 2 figures beyond a MC w/Laser or the Drone.

This has been my experience today as well. Tons and tons of figures from the revision cases at most stores. It's really cool to see the pegs overflowing with figures for once. The only store I found low stock at today was the Garland Super Target (Bush Turnpike & Garland Rd). That store has been pitiful since the line started though, so it was no surprise.

I imagine we will start to see a mix or revision packs and new wave stuff to start filling pegs the first part of Sept. Everyone from TRU to Target have expanded there sections to fit more.. so there is hope. I know the Target by my house has 8 pegs for single figures, 6 pegs for CP's and then all the shelving at the bottom has been cleared for DVD packs and vehicles.

Not sure if it's worth mentioning, but while shopping at a local H.E.B. grocery store, I noticed a peg in the toy isle marked 25th GI Joe single figure. I don't know if they sold them or are getting ready to sell them. I know they won't have a huge selection as Target and Walmarts, but you never know what you might find at the grocery store.

Yup. Wave 10 has the internet case with 2 Para-Vipers and 2 Bazooka Troopers. Wave 11 internet case has the two Eels. Not sure if that last one is really an internet case, though. Probably is.

Supposedly if you go by posts in one of the other sections of the forum. However, they're not in this area yet. I was mostly killing time in case someone actually got a Wave 10 on the floor instead of the Wave 8 Revision. I was mostly looking for the Halo 3 WM exclusives and new TRU 5-packs.

I've been wanting to shoot pics of my Cobra Legion, but it doesn't work if I gain more Crimson Guards the day after I take the pictures. ;-)

WM Bush Tollway has some good clearance deals. I grabbed two ERTL 1:18 4-wheelers for $2 each (they had a dozen left, 8 of the black and 4 of the red). The Marvel Legend 2-packs of Electra & Ronin is $5. Nothing Joe on clearance there or the Ross down the street, but someone may still be looking for deals.

Well snakeeyes1976 and I pretty much covered all of the west half of the DFW metroplex looking for stuff. Came up empty handed everywhere.. unless you are looking for wave 8 revisions.

Had two different target stores on opposite ends of town look up the Rat and Conq. dcpi numbers and check other stores.. there was nothing on either end for 25 miles.. so I am guessing no one has them here yet.

I am going to hope that they get new stuff in next week.

i have been there months ago.cali and arizona get there stuff then south tx then north tx. i always get everything and some.then if for some reason you got a problem not finding one figure you just trade someone for it.
but what i am getting at is that even after being first to get something , you will always find it when you dont need it.like wave 8 and 9.
arnt you tired of driving and going into every walmart and target just to find stuff you wanted last month?
just do what i do and get in with an employee at most of the stores you go to and have them set up and appointment to call you when stuff arrives.
with all the time money and gas , whats it worth , when you can just about order what you need or trade for it on hiss tank?

I have connections with stores.. know 2 toy dept. managers who order stuff for me, then I have 2 guys who stock the toys at night at two seperate Wal Mart stores that call me when stuff comes in. Have a guy at a Target who gives me a call when they have stuff in the back. He looks up the DCPI numbers when he's at work. Know several TRU employees that give me the heads up..

So I have the hook up, but it's still fun to go on the hunt every now and then. Saturdays are just that day for me, and it's not even every Saturday.

I pretty much am not concerned about not getting a certain figure, due to all my contacts.. I just like to be one of those who finds stuff on his own sometimes.

As far as a premium, I think the average is $25 which is shockingly easy considering people like to slap $100+ on everything (*cough* SDCC *cough*). However, I would say half the Target stores I hit either haven't put out their Wave 5 comic stock yet or only half of it. Hell, I know some Walmarts that still haven't put out their Wave 5 comic stuff yet. There are some more Black head Destros to find before this is over.

Ok, I think I need to introduce myself here. My name is Drew and I am a toyaholic (seriously). My wife hates it. I collect Star Wars, Transformers, Marvel Legends, and now have started re-collecting G.I.Joe (vintage-'94 and 25th +).

A year and a half ago, my buddy Mike (who does very well for himself but doesn't colect) asked me if I thought I could run a business if someone spotted me the money. I told him a resounding "yes". He then put up his wallet. So, I have started buying and reselling toys (Joe, Star Wars, TFs and Marvel Legends mostly) under the name Hardly Used Toys. Since there are so many sellers out there of "New" stuff (MIB and MOC), I decided to focus on selling loose stuff. I have a great thing going with Marvel Legends because of their Build-A-Figure concept. I can sell loose figures by themselves and use the parts to sell the complete BAFs. Now that Star Wars is doing Build-A-Droid and Joe has the MASS device DVD packs, that is something I am working on. Even after that, I like the concept of selling 2-packs/Battle Packs/Box sets loose so people can get the stuff they want.

I guess that may make me a scalper to some of you, and trust me that is a name I don't want. I have picked up a few things at retail, but when it comes to that stuff, I will try and get a wholesaler account soon to be able to order what I want to carry and to get it at a cheaper price too. Right now, I am only picking up stuff that I can break down to sell off individually (unless I get a good deal of course).

When things get really going I want to be able to take orders from customers so I can help them get figures they are after (this would be for MOC/MIB stuff as I would be ordering it from a distribution center). If I can make that happen, it should help me with order amounts etc. Also, If I can use my company to buy vintage parts, weapons and figure lots, I can help collectors get the things they need to make their stuff complete. (send me links to auctions that have stuff you want in it with the things you want and the price you want to pay for them, and if I win it, then I'll sell you the things you need at the right price and sell the rest to others).

I do want to mention that if you guys have anything you no longer want/need/etc, contact me. I will do what I can to buy your stuff at a reasonable price. You can reach me through here ar my e-mail address listed in my profile.

I will be set-up at the Star Wars Fan Days (aka Sci Fi Expo, Dallas Comic Con) in Plano at the end of October. I will have my full inventory of Joe stuff there too.

I want to remind you that I am a collector too. So if I contact you thru here because you post something for sale, I most likely want it for my personal collection. I know that some other guys (usually dealers at shows) I have known have told me they wanted to buy something of mine for their collection/inventory and then turned around and sold it in their inventory or kept it for themselves, and misleading people is wrong. I don't ever want to do that to you guys. Flame me if I ever do that (I don't plan to). I am hoping that by building a company on integrity and excellent customer service, THAT will allow me to build a strong customer base so I can thrive as a company.

Last, I will try to post here as much as I am able to help you guys find stuff. If I ever see it on shelves, I will most likely have to leave it behind as I am broke myself and I need to buy stuff for my company at less than retail so I can sell it at a decent price.

Thanks. I'll be sure and holler if I do find one, but I doubt I will anytime soon. I'm not sweating a lot of stuff I can't find. I'm still not finding Bats or Snow Serpents, but with Vipers falling off the pegs, I figure it won't be hard to find them in the next couple weeks. Stuff I was worried about getting a month ago I'm finding everywhere now.

I had trouble finding some of the wave 4 comics, but now they're every where. I'm sure wave 5 will be like that soon enough, I just wasn't sure if the black head Destro is something that's a low volume thing or not. I need to get another comic pack this week though to order another Doc, and I was hoping it would be one I don't have. Someone stole one of the Doc things out of one my comic packs, so I'm short one, and the deadline is this weekend.

I may have finally bought enough parts to finish rebuilding my Night Raven, but its been a pricey pain to do it. If I could find someone with a pair of Strato-Viper legs (really, only one is broken/needed) and maybe unload the empty Night Raven box for two or three more Strato-Vipers, it will have been worth. But good lord how much this cost... Damn you childhood memories! ;-)

They did the same thing with Destro at Joe con. had the black head on and the gold head next to him.. but come to find out they were seperate figures. The same goes for Beachhead unfortunately. There is also a variation with the Cobra Flint too. Seen several pics of him with a trooper head next to him. Not sure what that is going to be about.

Not sure if that pic is final production or not.. if so then that rocks.. and I was wrong. And it would never feel better to be wrong on this one. LOL

You think looking for those parts are hard, try looking for certain parts for the Flagg and not pay an arm and a leg.. or better yet I have missing parts on Some of my M.A.S.K. vehicles I am still looking for and that is really hard to find. LOL

Chris.. the Black head Destro comes one to every case or at least every case I have opened there has been at least one in.

The Wave 6 CP that is coming out with the new Beachhead sculpt is going to be the same way as the Destro.. There will be one masked and one unmasked..well partly unmasked.

Sorry, I meant Zartan. I've seen some Zartan figures (during one of the rev sets) that sported a very green face compared to the one I had. The next thing I knew, all of the figures were sold out around town in a day and people had green face Zartan variants all over eBay for awhile.

They did the same thing with Destro at Joe con. had the black head on and the gold head next to him.. but come to find out they were seperate figures. The same goes for Beachhead unfortunately. There is also a variation with the Cobra Flint too. Seen several pics of him with a trooper head next to him. Not sure what that is going to be about.

Not sure if that pic is final production or not.. if so then that rocks.. and I was wrong. And it would never feel better to be wrong on this one. LOL

I may have finally bought enough parts to finish rebuilding my Night Raven, but its been a pricey pain to do it. If I could find someone with a pair of Strato-Viper legs (really, only one is broken/needed) and maybe unload the empty Night Raven box for two or three more Strato-Vipers, it will have been worth. I just moved a bunch of stuff from my mom's into a storage building. It was really hot, and we were just in a hurry to get done, so I didn't go through anything, but she wants me to sort my stuff out and take it.

I had just about everything GI Joe from mid '82 to about early '87. I'm going to be back in that storage building this weekend or next. I will go through some of those boxes and see what I have. My mom didn't throw much of any of our toys away. I had a Flagg, and I can't imagine it getting tossed in the trash, but I was a kid, so my stuff saw action. :) I'm not sure what all is left of my stuff, but I'll see what I can find. I know both Skystrikers were tossed. They were in bad shape. I remember her telling me that. I think my big Hovercraft might have gotten thrown away, but I remember seeing that big brown helicopter within the last couple years. I don't remember if I have either of the ravens or not. I had a lot of stuff.

I think I remember my brother having Robotech. We had a lot of transformers, but my brother had a lot more than I did. I had more Go-Bots, since I was a little older than he was. I had a lot of the dinosaur transformers though. We had a lot of He-man too. My big thing when I was little was GI Joe. My brother was into the other stuff.

I had a ton of Star Wars stuff, but I gave it away to a friend of mine that collects it. He gave me a computer (which by todays standards is about a hundred times LESS powerful than my cell phone :) ), but most of my Star Wars figures had their heads held on by rivets. My dad figured out this way of getting their heads back on with pop rivets when they broke off.

Other than that, I'm not a toy collector now, and I don't really care to go back and collect stuff I used to have. It's just cool seeing the same cards that I remember thumbing through when I was little. I remember going to this one store all the time called Mott's. They didn't have pegs. They had these plexi-glass slots laid out flat like on a table type set up, and the figures would be stood up on end, and you thumbed through them. I still remember the day I found the 1985 Snake Eyes.

I have a T-bar for the Strato-Viper. I think the t-bars are the only thing I never lost as I've dug these figures back out aside from the blue trooper who is missing everything but the head, torso, and arm in the picture. That t-bar is probably sitting with the legs right now in a box I haven't found yet. ;-)

WHALEs are not fun to fix. Mine is good enough for display now, but it could really use replacements one day for the fans, fan fins, wheels for the bike, two unbroken missle launchers, a top windshield, launch door, top door section with windshield, and probably a button to actually launch the skiff. Nothing big. After getting the wheels underneath fixed and working, it can wait a couple of months before the next set of repairs. ;-)

I collect some toys still, but Joe is the only series I'm trying to restore vintage pieces if its affordable enough for the few parts each item needs. I packed these away complete originally, I'd like to return them to that state as I put them away. Anything that is fairly compatible with the 25th line I'll either keep out or pack to be easily accessible when I need it for photos.

I used to go to the BEST off of 30 over by where that Elk shooting place is now near Las Vegas Trail on the west side of Fort Worth.

Gibson's is in Weatherford. It is still 'old school' as far as department stores go.

I checked a Target the other day for the planes, and it showed the info in the system for them, but didn't show any in stock. I'm thinking there will be quite a few of these things, and with the price, I don't think they'll be falling off the shelves.

Spent an hour swapping heads/webgear between my extra Clutches, Breaker, and the four extra Green shirts to make some "new" guys to go with my other set. A greenshirt army of 11 (plus SE and battle damaged SE with Clutch jackets) to fight Cobra now.

Took 3 stores to find a Sand Viper to improve someone's mod of an Overkill v2 included in a eBay lot purchase. They took off the head, stuck on Zartan with a black hood. Ugh. So now I've popped the Sand Viper head onto the Overkill body and it looks better. Only Robocop can pull off the part-man, part-machine, all-cop look. ;-)

Maybe I should find a BAT arm and head to add to the Sand Viper body now.

I have seen the revision cases in a few Target's, but no luck on the Rattler or Conquest. Those are the two I am currently trying to track down.

The only Rattler I had success with today was the one I've almost finished fixing. Looks pretty nice, but I want a new one to sit beside it soon. No new Joe figures at Target or Walmart. Did find the 3 new Iron Man figures so I'm happy with today's haul.

Excellent idea to start the forum for Dallas area. I am from McKinney, spotted some single figs and comic packs at Target on 121 & Custer as well as Walmart on Coit and 190 George Bush. Only seen a couple of Destro/IG packs, no BATS or Snow Serpents. Had to give up and look for them on ebay. Seen ton of Barbecues, Hawks, Bazookas, Vipers, some black Storm Shadows around the area.

I've been finding a ton of wave 8rev and wave 9, but no Bats or Serps. The pegs are full of figs I never would have thought as warmers.

amazingly enough, my walmart in lewisville (off of 3040) keeps some pretty decent stock, here and there. I'm totally down for us locking down the DFW area so we all know where the goodies are. I can even pick up extras too so if you are on the lookout for something, let me know. No bats or SSerpents, as of yesterday, but they stocked up on TF Flint, HISS drivers and a PP Trooper or two.

Can occasionally frequent Burelseon Cleburne Grandbury Weatherford easily, sometiimes venture to remote areas like Hillsboro and Stepehenville and Mineral Wells. Be nice to section this stuff out and save gas and time with you guys! I can hit 37 walmarts in the area in 12 hours which hurts big time lol.

As Magick probably knows, when you collect multiple series you have to keep up a wide search pattern to find stuff. You know we have probably seen each other at some point at the Hulen Wal Mart. I remember when wave 3 I think came out, (the one with snow Job, Cg's, Flash.. etc. etc..) I went to that Wal Mart just after getting off work and there was a guy there buying joes..saw them in his hand and asked if that was the new wave. He said "Yeah, they just put them out". So I wandered over and picked up about 8 cg's and one of every other figure of that wave. Never saw the guy again after that day, but he happened to leave when I did, so I kinda saw where he turned to go home.. LOL Off of old Grandbury rd. and behind the Harbor freight/ Y2 Comics.. shopping center. Drives a blue or black SUV..may have been a truck, but I think it was an SUV.


o.k. I have too good of a memory. LOL

Yeah it is a lot better not to have to drive all over creation looking now. I'm sure if a few quads overlap eachother isn't too bad either.. in case one misses a store the other can pick it up.. my outer boundry places are the Wal Mart off McCart in south Ft. Worth and the Keller Wal-mart.

The closest stores to me are Lake Worth, Azle, Saginaw, White Settlement, and West Worth..and kinda the one off of Rufe Snow..but I think that is closer to Snakeeyes than me.

Well it wasn't me, I missed the boat some how on when these new Joes launched so I have been playing catch up so you did not see me that day. I have succesfuly found every figure in the field and have had to order online only 5 of the first 3 waves like SE w/ timber and Firefly.

Got Battle Armor CC and Major Bluud 25th coming from FEDEX any minute so I am all caught up with them except for Buzzer and Spirit as I do not care for those 2 characters.

Now if i can just get a pair of both Conquests and Rattlers until wave 10, 11, 12 etc. I will be happy.

well i talked to a guy yesterday at my work and he found the rattler in NRH i did not believe him at first then i saw it in his car .. so they are here he said he just asked someone at target and they had 1 rattler in the back he said ... i asked him if he check that website that shows all targets stock and he said he did and it said out of stock but the target in NRH had a rattler .. he said that was the last one

Checked that ASIN DCPI number website for the 2 new battle packs and it shows availability all over the DFW metroplex for them and so does the Target website. Of course all they had in the back were the MASS device and Revenge of Cobra ones, no Arise Serpentor Arise/Pyramid of Darkness. I guess that site is no good for assortment boxes since these battle packs come in 5 assortment they told me. Been wondering how well that look up site did it's job. Not overly impressed at this point.

Not as good as going out and just finding them the old fashion way!

No need to hope, man. I'm sure everyone would. lol I understand that you may not be able to afford lots of these if you see lots of them on the shelves, but also be aware of the scalper factor. I'm sure there are people who have joined these forums and don't post. They just lurk around here waiting for news, then they go out and buy everything up. If you can afford it, I say buy them. No need to hope, man. I'm sure everyone would. lol I understand that you may not be able to afford lots of these if you see lots of them on the shelves, but also be aware of the scalper factor. I'm sure there are people who have joined these forums and don't post. They just lurk around here waiting for news, then they go out and buy everything up. If you can afford it, I say buy them. You'll get people to buy them anyways! :D

That's kinda what I was thinking. Unless I see 20 sitting on a shelf, I'll probably just buy as many as I find/can afford and then just post here.

From what I understand. Major Bludd with the 25th logo is rare-ish (just made that word up). Apparently, Bludd is shipping in a new revision case though and he's now pretty easy to find. The only catch is that the new version does not have the 25th logo or foil. I think the 25th logo version will only be worth anything to MOC collectors

Went to Target in Allen and in Plano next to where I work off 75. NOTHING!!! I didn't have the number with me, so I couldn't ask. This is crap, isn't the street date today?

Has anybody ever gotten anything good from that Target? I've been there so many times and NEVER found anything but peg warmers. If it weren't right across the street from the TRU, I wouldn't ever bother going in there again.

I'd like to help out my fellow DFW collectors. If I see these in store, what's the best thing to do? Buy whatever I see and post it in here for sell, or just leave it on the shelf and post here to let everybody know where I saw them? If there are lots of these on the shelves (as I hope there are), I guess it makes more sense to just tell everybody in this thread where they can be found. If, however, I only see 1 or 2, should I just buy 'em and hope somebody here wants to do a buy them from me?

Pick them up, post a msg here in the local group. Pick which of the regulars to pass them on to. That way you can just meet up with someone and we cut out any scalper chances.

There was no restock of the last exclusives and I have a hard time believing these will get one either. The last exclusives were 3 cases of 3 and that was it. Once they're gone, they're gone. The HISS Tanks sold out first, the AWE next, and finally the SHARC repaint. If the truth is that stores are only getting two pairs of planes, this will be fairly fast just from the actual fans wanting them.

The last exclusive set was odd. I picked up a tank first day, another a week later (at the same store) for my nephew (who ended up not wanting it -- he wanted two black ones) and then another a month after the release originally to repaint to Nightwatch colors (I got lazy and never did it.) That last tank was at a different store sitting all alone. I can't believe so many people passed it up for the other two Joe vehicles.

You really have to have good luck landing something from that store. It's one of the most popular stops for the local scalpers.

Yeah, that store never has anything when I go in there. When the first Target exclusives were out, I went there almost everyday....looked at all the endcaps, in the main aisle, nothing! I never once saw them there. At least at other stores I saw some.

Thanks, man. About how far is that from Allen? lol The Walmarts I went to tonight either didn't have that palette, or they had the Animated palette.
