Stopped by Target at Coit and Campbell in Richardson at lunch, and they had one of each of the vehicles. I bought the Trouble Bubble set, but left the others. No DVD packs.

I was able to score the dvd packs at Target today. I called a target earlier. They didn't have any in stock but they told me another did.

really not sure. I know I have at least 50 cobra troops (mixture of silver, red, comic pack, senior officer packs...etc.etc.) Roughly 30 or more CG's, 20 Night Watch troops, 10 python officers, 20 vipers, 25 Hiss tank Drivers, 25 Stinger Drivers, 30 Red Ninja All variations of CC, SS & SE, At least 1 of each normal figure from each wave. 3 Target Hiss Tanks, 1 night spectre, 1 A.W.E. striker, 5 Wv. 1 Hiss Tanks, 4 TB w/ Televiper, 4 Rams (Obviously), 3 Vamps.

Several extra for Custom fodder. Some extras for possible trades. IE.. TF Flint, Major Bludd.

Then I have my entire ARAH Collection which includes The entire Set from 82' - 90' Missing a few guys here and there from 91' - 94' Lost interest when the colors started getting really bright. LOL

As for the vehicles from those lines, I know I have everything from 82' - 85' minus a Sky Striker, Missle Command Center, and some of the Sears exclusives.

I have 3 U.S.S. Flaggs in various states.. I think one is complete with Microphone. Have most of a Defiant (Need Crawler) Have a near complete Terrordrome, 2 G.I. Joe Bases. This list keeps going on and on. Most of it is in storage right now. Not enough room to display everything. I plan on getting a house by next year and will have an extra room just for my toy collection. LOL

So hopefully I can get some pics up about this time next year. I will try and get some pics up of what I have up and displayed so far later this week.

Most of the Wal Mart stores I have been inot lately, have a reset for the toy isle starting on 7/25. It list the DVD packs and Vehicles. someone had mentioned seeing something with the date 8/3 on it in the back of a Wal Mart. My guess is that the reset is supoposed to be finished by then, so it may be the DVD packs or since the Collectors Club had the Wv. 5 CP's in stock, that it could be those.

I need to get an extra of each of the DVD packs anyways. Really all I need is another LJ and Baroness out of those packs. Custom fodder.

Well Crap.. I wished we could get some of those DVD packs here in Central Texas!! We don't have anything Wave 9 or DVD packs, and very few vehicles. But they just loaded the shelves with Wave 7. So if you need a figure from wave 7 then go to wal-mart in Hewitt.

Ah.. taking over my neck of the woods I see. I picked them clean of everything I wanted. so I'm glad that someone else here got what was left. I had to drive to Louisville Tuesday to pick up the DVD packs. Every Target I called around here either were out or they said they had 4 and when I went there they didn't have any.

I know the wv. 5 CP's are due out any day now.. so the hunt begins again.. If the Collectors Club had them in stock, then other places should have them as well. Usually the club gets them after all the retailers.. so production may be picking up, we just haven't seen it hit in full force yet. Possibly after everyone gets through with their resets.

My wife and I just bought a house in Frisco though (saw and passed on a HISS Tank at the Wal-Mart there last night, they also had 3 or 4 Armadillo packs and a VAMP.) We're going to spend the next month or so moving in.

I scored a Ninja Ku at the Con, they had full cases on Fri. Night, one per dealer. But by the time I got to the Store all were gone. I have seen a single B.A.T. which I bought in stores. I got my set from Alyosha. Thankfully he had an extra.

I believe they will be showing up more frequently after Wal Mart and Target fully finish their resets and towards the beginning of next month. Most things I have managed to get a look at behind closed doors that have G.I.Joe on it have a 8/3 release date. Still not sure what it is, but it looks to be one of those island things like what they have for Batman and the new Clone War stuff.

Target on Lemmon has Wave 9 (except Serpent/BAT) and Wave 5 Comic (except Destro/IG). I grabbed one CC/Tripwire set and one Falcon/Nemesis set so there are one left of each.

I get the feeling this month's theme will be Wave 9 missing the two popular eBay items unless stores get multiple wave 9 revision packs and multiple wave 10 packs to finally catch us up on BAT/Serpent needs. That's what really helped the area last time until we were overflowing with Vipers.

The West Coast usually gets things first followed by the East Coast.. we sometimes fall second when getting things, but the people in that live up north in central america tend to get things way behind everyone else. I have managed to pick up just about everything up to date.

The Walmart in/near Atascocita (on 1960 just west of Lake Houston Parkway) had 1 case of wave 9 about 15 minutes ago, and it looked like they had been there all day since they hadn't put any freight out for the night yet. I left them all (the full wave is still there including the BAT), so if anyone around there needs any of them head on over. They also had both DVD packs, all the vehicles, and most of the wave 7 figures. No wave 5 comic packs yet, but plenty of wave 4 comic packs.

Actually, there is a good possibility that they are in fact still there. That particular Target is in an area that most people don't know about. I have to drive about 20 minutes one-way to get there and I have seen stuff hang on the pegs for a week or 2.

I've seen several Hiss Drivers lately. I will pm you if I find one. If you pay the shipping we can do an even trade for a BAT. I believe that Flash is coming out in the next Wave 9 revision case.

Wal-mart at Midway/75 and Monfort/Beltline have Wave 9 in except for BATS. So you can at least grab a Snow Serpent or two. No one else seems to have restocked with Wave 5 comics yet.

My Aunts are sending me three BATS from Maryland so I'm basically down to the new TRU packs and the two different Destro/IG comic packs. I wish WM would get their Halo stock on the floor. I found the Blue EOD exclusive, but I still need the Cyan Scout WM will carry. Hopefully they will be over abundant like the Series 1 exclusives when they show up.

College Station ToysRUs got in the wave 5 comic packs. Only 1 Cobra Commander vs Tripwire and 1 Nemesis Immortal vs Lt. Falcon is left. My friend bought the rest (the case had 1 Gold Destro and 1 Black Destro). They also got in the wave 2 12" figures (Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Torpedo).

College Station Walmart has wave 9 Barbecue and Bazooka as well as plenty of wave 1 vehicles. Bryan Super Walmart has plenty of wave 1 vehicles as well.

It was what I had expected.. the DVD packs and the Wave 5 CP's.

they had all the Joe stuff stacked on one pallet and wrapped in cardboard. so it looked like a large box. But instead it was just stuff they had set aside till after their reset was done.

I stopped off at a Target and Wal Mart on the way home from the airport. Picked up another Bat and snow Serpent from the Target. Took a count of all the wild Bills and Torpedos and figured that they had at least 8 wave 9 caes come in at some time. There were a lot of them. Went to the Wal Mart after that and they had a few vehicles, the DVD packs a few wave 9 figures. (Did the same count and they had at least 5 cases at one time..no Bats or Serpents) They had a couple of wave 5 Cp's but only the Tripwire/CC packs. There was about 3 of them. So I am guessing they had 3 or 4 cases of those.

Pretty standard stuff... so as much as I would love to say it was something spectacular.. it wasn't.

They need to give in and just build a Troop Builder set of BATS (silver & red masks) like the Desert and Arctic sets. I miss counted and now I think my Snow Serpent count is at 6, but it should make for an interesting squad to add to the two Arctic sets I have on order.

With the spare Destros I have I'm thinking of trying to a custom of Destro's son and one of Destro in white for Arctic work. I already switched around the messed up Torpedo head I bought months ago with Gold Destro to make a SEAL Destro to lead the Eels next month.

I was in arlington earlier tonight and decided for the fun of it to go into the TRU by the Parks mall. while looking at the single pack figures and counting the number of Wild Bills and Torpedos they had I happen to look over my right shoulder and there one of them was sitting.

Someone else had already picked up the CG pack, but there was a Firefly vs G.I. Joe trooper set. I picked it up. Not impressive at all. Most of the helmets won't stay on except the repaint of Breaker. The file card is interesting for them though. It has a blank line for their File name and Birthplace.

The Firefly will be used for a shockwave custom..

Oh.. one other thing I noticed and thought was funny. When they labeled the stands for these guys, someone hit a wrong key. Instead of it saying... Codename: G.I.JOE TROOPER.. All the stands have this: Codename: G.I.JDE TROOPER.

There is a "D" in the place of the "O". Just found it humorous. No.. It is not a variant, but you know some idiot is going to take and run this all the way to Ebay as one.

I guess that phrase was used to describe the type of store. I've seen some where the upkeep of the store is very poor as to better at other Walmarts. It's not where the store is located but WHO actually is working there and thier work ethic. Is this their own choice or a company policy? Twice I've been at TRU and the barcode wasn't in their system in the past week. The second time I ended up waiting 20mins for their stocker to go grab the sku. Hell, I could have done that on my own if I knew that's what they were doing.

I had been waiting there while two women tried to scan the things, they ended up calling a manager over and I explained to them that 2 of their other store have the same product on their shelves if they want to call them. She tried to go on the website, which I had explained that they were not on there. She then was going to charge me $10.99 for them, but I stopped that. Told her that the sign at the isle said $9.99. The women instead, just wrote down the names and told the girl at the register to ring it up using a junk UPC. Just so happened that the only junk UPC that worked was one for a 20% discount.

Great way to start the day. Now if Snakeeyes1976 will get their shipment of new 5 packs in, I will be happy. LOL

Na, I'm good for the Thunder Machine. I have the SFII version of the Thunder Machine, as well, and the steering wheel hole inside the vehicle snapped when I turned it to adjust the position. So I stripped the mirror, antenna, and steering wheel since the SFII version would only be for background fodder. I may find the originals if I keep digging in the box.

I don't collect vintage Joes any more as much as I grab things that may work with the 25th figures or parts to repair my originals. I just finished fixing up the Dragonfly, APC, X-30, and Polar Battle Bear in the past week. Eventually fixing the biggest broken pieces with my Killer WHALE is next. Childhood memories are costly to repair. ;-)

Pulled a case of the TRU 5-packs from the back. They are indeed the same SKN as the old ones. So if your TRU is choking on old Battle Packs, 5-packs, whatever, they aren't going to put them out. Yeah, it's lame.

Put out 4 cases of Wave 9. We had a bunch in the back that I wasn't aware of. There is even 2 or 3 left over back there. The cases weren't even marked what wave they were.

Anyways, should be about 3 or 4 BATS on the pegs. I bought one, as to let others have a shot at them.

Damn beat me to it.. I also went to the Plano TRU that snowjob works at.. by the time I got there they had nothing left. a little bit of wave 9. No BATs like Mister e said.. but there were no 5 packs left, the CG set was the only reason I drove all the way over there. Decided to try and hit the one on lower 75 in Dallas, but again nothing.

Talked to the guy there, he said that there are guys there who hit them on the exact day the truck gets in and they buy everything up and usually talk about Ebay.. so not happy about that.

Walnut is pretty determined to not put out their new Joe stock until someone buys those old sets. I've chatted with two different people higher on the foodchain (each on a different day)and neither wants to check the backroom for the other sets or drag them out if they do. *shrugs* I've got three Night Watch sets and two SE VS Red ninja sets so it isn't going to be me unless they are on sale. Sooner or later they'll put them out, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it coming soon unless they expand their Joe section.

The scalpers in this town are horrible. Period. I spent 3 weeks alone trying to get the Brown Halo 3 figure at TRU. I won't even tell you how much time I spent trying to catch the Littlest Pet Shop Geoffrey Giraffe for my niece. I run into them a lot.

I feel you.. Although I haven't had any trouble finding figures nor running into the scalper crowd. I noticed there are a lot of retailers out there that aren't very cooperative when it comes to a simple task of just taking a look in the back room. with Target, I just got the "We don't Cater to collectors" excuse, but with TRU it usually just seems like a case of I am too lazy to just walk to the back or call someone to go check.

Thankfully I have connections in at least 2 wal mart stores and now 2 TRU stores.. Now I just need a Target Employee. LOL

I think part of it depends on what you're chasing down. Joe can be difficult for the army builder figures. Halo 3 is difficult for the exclusives (TRU, Wal-mart, Suncoast) and short-packed figures (ODST). Marvel Legends is too expensive to keep up with now that they want $15 each. I grabbed one She-Hulk and skipped the rest of the series. I haven't been impressed by the DC Comics BAF series yet. I collect the random TF, but not very often. Thankfully there is less and less I want so my two main collecting obsessions are going to be Joe and Halo by the end of the year.

Check out Ross stores, then. I bought Cobra Legions and Cobra Joe 5-pack from there at $11.99 or $12.99, I forget. That was a few months ago, but read a post somewhere on here a few days ago that someone found some at Ross, so I guess Ross is still getting them.

I've been to Ross' all over the north DFW area and I've found Legions packs at all of them. They're $11.99 a pop. I've been hoping they'd clearance them further though, so I haven't picked any up.

I have made a few good scores at the Walnut TRU, I got the Night Watch set there when they first came out. There was one on the shelf but some mofo took all the weapons out of it and returned it. I showed it to the manager and he had a case brought out. Scores there are far and few in between though.

If I want to go to TRU I have to drive from Denton to Lewisville and it usually ends up being a wasted trip. I have been twice this week and the stock has not changed a bit. And of course, they always have a sale that is pointless since they have no stock and don't issue rainchecks. They had Star Wars comic packs on sale for buy one get one half off, but didn't have any. Ridiculous. I have yet to see the new 5 packs there but they have plenty of the Cobra Blue SRO 3 packs. I wish they would clearance those because I really like the detailed webgear on the Cobra troopers in that pack.

3 wal mart stores when I got off and none of them had anything new.. not even wv 8 (wv5 08). One literally only had Vipers and Wild Bill figures.. about 8 of each. Another one only had BBQ and Vipers.. (See a trend here) The last one had a mix of several different stuff. Lot's of Bazooka, Wild Bill, Torpedo, Spirit, Duke w/ Flag...and you guessed it. Vipers.

Heh. Sorry about that. I have been on a bit of a tear with my BAT and Serpent army. Good news is that I fast approaching my goal. Are you looking to pick up any more BATs or Snow Serpents? If so, let me know and I can pick up any extras I see and hold 'em for ya. I usually hit 2 or 3 wal-marts and 2 targets about 3-4 times a week. I'm sure I'll find more. Cost + tax (+ shipping if you want them shipped) would be all I ask.
