New environments coming?

Q.
What about G.I. Joe and more environments?

A.
Yes. We are spending a lot of time on G.I. Joe environments.

Personally, I like the idea. I have the Waypoint so far. Still undecided on the throne, but once I see it in person I'll make up my mind.

I think volcano and ocean environments would be pretty cool.

Something along the Cobra Island theme could be cool.

Something in 3 3/4" scale would be even better.

They've already said they are not planning on doing stuff in that scale.

I like the idea of the Sideshow environments, and while I can shell out $100 for a figure, I can't for the dios. I can make something myself for that much, and probably make it bigger.

The Cobra throne is cool though, but damn.. just not something I can swallow buying.

If I had the cash I'd spend it on the throne, there's no way i could possibly do anything like that.

However, there's few ways you could do Recon cheaper. There's actually a half bombed out wall dio on line at a store that would perfectly at half the price. A can of fake tree snow, and a toy wolf and you've saved yourself ALOT of cash. Even cheaper you can buy the bricks and clay and make a base and wall yourself.

I'm not sure what environment it would take to get me to take the plunge, but as I have regular CC, and not CCC the throne isn't anywhere near a priority for me. I may make a podium with a Cobra flag for him down the line, though.

That's easy enough to do with stuff from the craft store, or Buildarama. Anything as detailed as what Sideshow would offer would just make the little Joes look cheaper then they already do. They'd be totally out of place.

Well then, what's the point?

A control panel w/ big screen monitor w/ padded seat for a Tele-Viper would be cool!

To frustrate those that can't afford Sideshow things!

Or perhaps some kind of Arctic front that could be used for a 1/6 Snow Serpent. (complete with snow footprints from a Snow Serpent's walking gear)

The more I think of it Sideshow could actually make smaller scale vehicle dio's. Think the troubble Bubble with flames coming out the bottom...to show it taking flight. Maybe a Flak Cannon.

I think Sideshow should do an Outpost Defender.
