have any of you seen the Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends Ares wave in Michigan yet i have been looking for it and have yet to see it

If this is the Wal Mart exclusive wave with the Human Torch, Spiderman, etc., I saw these two Fridays ago at the Belsay Road Wal Mart on an endcap. I don't collect these, so I am not sure if this was the right wave or not. But I did see Wal Mart exclusive stickers on them.

Seen revision case of Officer Flint wave at chesterfield walmart. They had one case in, bought the only Flint. Finally I have this guy. Left Doggie Snake eyes, Snowjob etc.


I didn't see anything different there past few days, picked up a few H.I.S.S.'s, making some room for that precious 2nd wave.

I opened a case that was sitting on top of a pallet, I figured they were going to be put out anyways, I pilfered through it and bought the one Flint. Nobody stopped me from opening the case and once it's on the floor, it's fair game. Haven't been back there since the day I saw them so I don't know if they were put out or not.

I just came home from the bar and stopped at chesterfield walmart and they have cases of the reisuue Flint. Sasanagui check them in the morning. They are sitting on a pallet. I didn't dare open any because they are the same assortment. The case I previously opened is also sitting there with the flaps closed. Hopefully they will put it out. Tformers collectors, they have have wave 3 universe in. Saw the 2 new ones (sorry I'm drunk right noe dso I don't remember the names) no ironhide. Hope this helps.

Here's my wave 10 sighting: Hasbrotoyshop. I just purchased the 4 Wave 10 figures I wanted (no wraith or Bazooka trooper) for 31.10. That's only $3.65 over the cheapest retail (WM), which is DEFINITELY worth the price in gas and time.

The key was the MDCREW coupon code, which is 20%. It's not free shipping, but when you purchase 4+ figs or add in some vehicles, it comes out basically free shipping, and you pay retail + tax
4x6.84 =27.36 + .98 tax = 27.45 at Walmart
4x6.99 = 27.96 + 1.76 tax + 6.98 shipping =36.70 (which I think is too much over retail for me to buy online, BUT) -5.60 coupon = 31.10...

TRU in Okemos had several of the w5 comic packs. No black headed Destro though which made me sad - at least 6 of the gold headed version though and several of Nemesis Immortal vs. Lt. Falcon and Cobra Commander vs. Tripwire.

I doubt that- I don't think wave 10 is missing and will get skipped, I think it is just backed up behind full pegs of wave 9 and revision cases. More likely in a month we'll have pegs full of wave 10 and be compaining "where is wave 11?!?!"

I'm tellin' y'all, just order from HTS with MDCREW. I got my latest order for BELOW retail. I'm a hardcore hunter, but knowing I've got figures on the way and not wasting gas just to see Wild Bill? priceless.

This could very well be the case. I spot the odd additional trooper here and there among the loads of unwanteds. So the shelves must be getting stocked. Just not stocked with anything of wave 10+.

Right now however, I'm okay with it. Money has been so tight.

This trip included finding the new combat heros at every Target visited, as well as the new leader class Ultra Magnus form the Transformers Animated line. Yes!!! I love new toys...I just wish there were some new waves of joes out! Here's to tomorrow's hunt!!!

^this. I agree 100%, and thank you for pointing out that you're not singling anybody out: what you said could be a reply to 50 comments on the 'tank in the last few days.

I think this is a weird line for Hasbro and they are having a tough time figuring out just where the demand level is. They thought it would suffice to put out 2 boxes of 5 figures. Nope. Then a full scale series, but, hey, there can't be that many Joe collectors, so just need a few cases in a few stores. Nope. We cried "More stock! more stock! Give us the figures we missed early on!" and they responded with increased distribution of wave 9 and revision cases, but they overshot the demand, and now they have pegwarmers.

Could you imagine the perfect harmony of production and case ordering where all the collectors in an area were able to find all the figures they wanted at retail, but it was only just enough to have the pegs be emptied and ready to be refilled? That seems a tall order for what is essentially a niche product.

/rant... Anyway. Focus is righton- go the HTS route and save yourself the gas. I'm ordering the new vehicles and DVD sets from there and with the 20% code, it'll be below retail prices.

Wave 10 is starting to become the Star Wars 2007 Wave 5 debacle. About this time last year the market was flooded with Wave 4s (the UGH Gold Coin figures, Animated Fetts, Vaders, Cantinas, Peg Warming Droid, Ugly Luke Skywalker figure with Moisture Vap) while Wave 5 was nary seen. December hit and Wave 6 and Wave 7 hit the ground running. I never saw the Pre-Cyborg Grevious and barely scored Darth Revan and Malak if it wasn't for stopping into the Grand Blanc Kohls one night during my shitty December last year.

I'm glad my Wave 10 case from EE is on its way. :D

I just ordered 2 cases of wave 10 from Entertainment earth, as well as the extreme condition sets, and then wave 11 and 12 from BBTS - after shipping for both waves the figures didnt cost me more then retail so SCREW MICHIGAN AND THEIR SLOW DISTRIBUTION. Online retailers only for me from now on..

I usually do that too but with the retail price increase BBTS ended up being cheaper for w8 and w9 when the pre-orders were $49.99 for a case.

Heh, my wave 10 already has dust on them! Online is the way to go, especially when you are buying multiple figures at once. I learned the hard way with wave 1-9, & finally I decided to give my car and sanity a break & just order wave 10 online.

There will come a time again when new figures will hit stores in a timely manner. Now is not that time.

Great lakes crossing in the Rochester/Auburn Hills area as of 10/29/08-- KBtoys had quite a few wave 9 figures, First time I had ever seen wave 9 in person. Picked up Barbecue finally.

Had one or two hawks, one bazooka, a few barbecues, a snow serpent, a couple storm shadows, and a buzzer. Also had some air chariot two packs.

What's up everyone. Haven't posted in awhile because of my craptacular internet connection. I've been hunting in Battle Creek over the past several days and have come across nothing, as usual. I am most likely going to slow down on the retail hunting and just order my wave 11 and 12 cases form BBTS. This seems to be a better, less frustrating, time & money saving option. I really do enjoy the hunting, especially when I find new stuff, but I am getting tired of never finding anything worth a crap on a daily basis. Also, if anyone is still looking to pick up wave 10, smalljoes.com has a set of six back up on their site (which includes the variant wraith) for the new lower price of $49.99! That's a great deal, especially for a set with the variant. They also have individual single carded wave 10 figures for sale.

I found a Firebat in pretty good shape at the S. Lansing Meijer. I picked it up then found a Firebat in pretty rough shape at the S. Lansing Kmart for $3 less.

I went hunting again in Battle Creek today. Here's what I found (or didn't find, as the case may be) :

I'm hoping tomorrow may bring something better, but we'll just have to wait and see. I've actually found comfort in the fact that a lot of online retailers are offering a good selection of new product, easing the burden on my vehicle and providing me with more time and money. It also makes hunting a bit more relaxing because I don't feel absolutely compelled to HAVE TO find something every time I go out looking now, knowing that I've already received the newest toys available in a line or that they're at least on their way...and knowing is half the battle!!!

If anyone's a fan of the God of War video games like I am, the new figures by Neca (series 3, titled "Magic of the Gods") are available at a decent price through several ebay sellers. I just purchased my set of two figures, both the "Poseidon's Rage" Kratos and "Dark Odyssey" Kratos, from a new seller by the name of NECA_UNDERWORLD for a great price. I paid $24 w/FREE shipping for both figures, which would have cost at least $30 retail price, plus time and gas spent hunting for them. I love getting a good deal on awesome toys!!!

No new Joes in West Livonia or Novi. Target on Haggerty has very little, and Novi TRU has the same old revision cases. They do have a couple new card Crimson Guard singles though.
For Transformers fans, Novi TRU does have two 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime's as of noon today.

Next week should be a good one though. I've got my Wave 11 and 12 cases coming from BBTS, as well as the Wave 6 Comic Packs. I'm really looking forward to the Beachhead/Mainframe pack. Two of my favorites from the 80's.

I finally saw some of the new vehicles today. They had a Firebat and SHARC at Meijer in Greenville. I picked up the Firebat but left the SHARC. Meijer has the vehicles on sale this week for $15 ($3 off). They also had a bunch of revision case figures and wave 9 stuff (mostly BBQ, Hawk and Torpedo), but also one Snow Serpent figure.

The K-mart is Greenville didn't have jack crap, and the Walmart there also was pretty sparse (no new stuff).

Another posting claims that they should hit the streets 11/23... Coming from experience, I did not see the Star Wars Ultimate Battle Packs in MI til the 1st and 2nd week of December, then they disappeared after X-Mas when clearance starting hitting.

Otherwise I was SUPER IMPRESSED with BBTS's cost and speed in shipping. Normally I am against the online retailers just because of the cost.. but wow o wow..

anyhow.. I now have some extras.. I will either trade or sell off 1 Para Trooper, 1 underwater trooper, 1 bazooka trooper.

For the better part of the month of November Target will have Joes at a mere $4.99!!! So until 11-24 we can save ourselves a load of cash. I got a few H.I.S.S. drivers, may pick up extra fodder here and there. Sadly however, pegs I found at a few stores were filled with lots of Wild Bills, Cobra Commanders and Torpedos.

I have been hitting the Kohl's in Lansing pretty hard with the $5 coupons and I have not seen any G.I. Joe figures at either the Okemos or West Lansing ones :(

I have personally checked 3 different Kohls (Battle Creek. Portage, and Kalamazoo) and there were no wave 10 figures to be found. I have also called 3 other kohls in the Grand Rapids area. 2 of them told me they didn't carry G.I. Joes and the other one said they did carry G.I. Joes, but I'd have to see that before I'd believe it.

Checked Battle Creek Kmart and Columbia Ave. Meijers tonight...Nothing! I checked both places because I was in the neighborhood due to a last minute trip to the post office. I had to take a package from HTS to return it, since the stuff I ordered arrived in horrible condition. I ordered two new transformers form the animated line. Both were cut across the top of the box with a box cutter(obviously done by some uncaring turd while opening a case) and one of them had been stepped on by a rhino! I mean, WTF HTS?!?! I know others have had issues similar to this, right?! What a load of crap! Then, after I called, I was told I'd have to wait 21 days to get a refund! What the hell?!?! HTS is a frickin' joke!!!

ok guys. i have been thinking about this for a while now. i was trying to come up with a way to rid the pegs of revisions and make way for wave 10,11, and 12. all over michigan we have this problem. so i think what we need to do is buy up some of these and donate them to toys for tots or a charity like that. think about it, even if each of us buy 2 or 3 it would definitly put a dent in the mass amounts of wild bills and all the other usual suspects, and it would help out some kids that need toys for christmas. i am just throwing my idea out there, and i plan on doing this. so let me know what you think.

Checked Battle Creek Kmart and Meijers (Columbia Ave.) tonight. Only thing of note was the AWE Striker, Firebat, and Fang/Claw 2-pack at Kmart, all of which had nice slice-n'-dice jobs or super ninja kicks planted deeply into them.

Northville Kohls (8mile & Haggerty) has new CP's (Scrap Iron, Mainframe etc.), and some wave 10 (Para Viper, Bazooka Viper, Mutt, Wraith, TF Duke), al at 15% off their inflated prices. But if you need them, they are there. Target across the street had nothing.

Thanks for the heads-up, the wave 10's were gone, but I did pick up the new CP's, with the 20% off, they were $10.39 each.

Checked in Battle Creek today at all Beckley Rd. locations. Target had a revision case fresh from the box and that was it.

Belleville Wal-Mart has one Fang/Claw set and an Awe Striker left as of 4pm. I picked up another Fang/Claw set for myself. They also had that side aisle box with a handful of figures, but it was closer to the doll section I think. They has a couple V.1 Flints, Stalker, Storm Shadow (Joe Version) and a Snow Serpent. There may have been a few more on their, but nothing new.

68th Street Meijer-A couple of Sgt. Bazooka, Hawk, Barbeque, and like fifty Wild Bills.

68th Street Target-Wave 7 and 8 revision cases. They also refused to sell me the Ultimate Battle Pack.

68th Street Kmart-One Hiss Driver, One Cobra Python Officer, and the usual old vehicles and DVD packs.

54th Street Meijers-Wave 9 leftovers.

54th Street Target-A few Crimson Guards and others from revision cases. But they did get me a Ultimate Battle Pack out of the back.

28th Street Target-3 Buzzers, that was it...three total figures.

28th Street Walmart-Revision, Revision, Revision. Whats worse, the only Walmart anywhere near me (other one doesn't even carry Joes) and they do not carry Joe vehicles at all!

28th Street TRU-Pegs are overflowing with all types of Revision cases that haven't moved in weeks. They have just about everything except Wave 10-12 and the new vehicles. No new SRO or DVD Packs either.

I hope that once the 23rd hits, Target will be putting out the UB Packs, New Vehicles, and Wave 10-12. The guy I talked to on the phone that set aside the UBP for me said they had Fangs/Claws, Firebats, Sharcs, ect. arriving for next Sunday. He couldn't tell me anything about the single carded figures though. I am not thinking they will have the new Comic Packs though because everywhere I go the racks are over flowing with waves 1-3.

I believe I went to the first one, it was in that expo center in Birch Run. It was before Joes were all over, I went looking for some old Star Wars items which I found. It wasn't bad & had a lot of potential, so hopefully it's going to be better this year if they're having another one. I'm not sure if the hotel in question has a bigger hall then the mezzanine in Birch Run...

I found wave 11 at Target on Alpine in NW Grand Rapids today (minus the Eel & Airborne). Got them for $4.99 Each.

Kohl's on Alpine has all three new Comic Packs for $8.83 Each, but they will be $12.99 starting Sunday so get them now. Kohl's also had wave 10 for six bucks each after the discount, but I left them. In total they have two Beachead/Mainframe packs, three Hard Master/Snake Eyes packs, and three Scrap Iron/Wild Bill packs. They had one each of all of wave 10 except Para-Viper. I check all the other targets in Grand Rapids immediate area and the rest of them just had same old same old. I really need to get my hands on a Cobra Eel, but they have been impossible to find at a reasonable price.

In total I check two TRU's, two Meijers, and four Targets and only Alpine had anything new.

I swore off hunting yesterday after another failed run, but tried one more store today...

I found wave 10 and 11 at Target in Brighton at 5pm. They had half of wave 10 left (Para Viper, Bazooka Trooper), which I had planned on skipping, but I picked up anyway since they were only $5.

I picked up all of wave 11 except for Matt Trakker and Scarlett (left those behind).

The store also had 8 ultimate battle packs (6 on the endcap) and 2x each of the FANG/CLAW, Black HISS, Tan AWE and Firebat vehicles.

Got Matt Trakker from wave 11 at Canton Target Ford Rd. but that's all they had, and looks like Westland Target had them too, but all gone. Both stores had no stock in back.
