Hello All,
Thank you Doc-I went to the 23 mile Walmart and arrived at 3:30am and there was no wave 8 whatsoever, Someone beat me to it. They did have a few wave 7, an older Roadblock,Rock n roll, and Scarlett, as well as the normal pegwarmers. The reason I thank you Doc is on my way there I passed another Walmart, 14 mile and VanDyke and there I picked up Major Bludd,CC with mass crystal and Parka Snake eyes. All pegs were full, mostly wave 7 but when I left at approx. 4:30am they still had 2 Baroness V2, 1 CC with mass crystal,3 python patrol cobra officer, 2 urban roadblock, 1 Flint tiger force as well as 3 Hiss drivers, at least 6 Vipers, and multiples of all the other 7th wave. Ill upload a pic when I get a chance but in the meantime, They are here! Oh yeah, also Canton and New Hudson Walmart pegs are all empty as of 2am, plenty of comic packs though.-Good Luck guys, I woulda picked up extra for some of you but I was short on funds, thats why I only bought three!-*proof photo on my avatar

Dont know if anyone has posted this yet but I just picked up set of series 8!!!!!!!!! Yes they are in Michigan! found at walmart in lansing. They only had that one set but had three to four cases of series 7 clogging the shelf. Picked up another Spirit. So if you need any of 7 there are tons of em. Good luck.

Finally found some time this morning for a small hunt.
Wal-Mart Belleville- Nothing new, but a ton of older comic packs.
Canton Target on Beck- Nothing but a Scarlett, Buzzer, someone else, and a few old comic packs.
I'll be heading up north tommorrow for the day, if I can find multiples of anything Wave 8 or new comic pack related, I'll let you guys know.

Walmart Livonia was cleaned out of W7 & W8 when I got there except for two Wave 7 Vipers, One Wave 8 Viper, and Spirit. Picked up all three Vipers. Target next door only had Wave 2 & 3 CPs.

I checked Walmarts in West Lansing, Ionia, and Greenville and did NOT see any wave 8's. Also, no sightings at Meijer and K-mart in Greenville.

I did find a Flash at K-Mart in Greenville, and a Zartan at Walmart in Ionia. That same walmart in Ionia had at least 2 other Zartans.

Ok after coming home from work at 10 pm and reading the posts here, I decided to head out to my 23 gratiot walmart just to see what they had and found 2 figs from wave 8, Roadblock and CC. I bought both figs. although I was excited to find them, I was quite disappointed on how flimsy the cards are now. It seems too easy to bend or crease the cards. Oh well, I'm glad I found them nonetheless. They had a handful of vipers and wave 7 left on the pegs.

i only seen one box of wave 8 doesnt mean there werent more,its been 12 hours since they brought them out so who knows if there are any even left,they move pretty quick up here,of course there is an occasional peg warmer they usually move out too.

Alright I'm checking in guys.
Went to the Flint/Corunna Rd Walmart on Saturday night and they had a few of Wave 7 left. IIRC 3 Snake Eyesv3 and 2 or 3 Vipers.

Went to the Burton WM on Sunday afternoon and splurged on the last Wave 7 set, snagged two extra Vipers, and grabbed the last Baroness that was left of Wave 8, I think. The only thing left was a few SEv3 and Spirit.

So catching up ever so slowly.

Also happy to see that Target has there Indy stuff on sale this week might pick up some German soliders or some vehicles if possible.

Went to the Howell Walmart last night, they had a good selection of 7 and 8 although i bought the only Major Blood I saw, there were multiples of everyone else including 7 and 8 vipers and 2 Hiss drivers

Thought I'd chime in... looks like today was a good day for MI 25th hunters- I found a complete set of wave 8 (no wv 4 CPs though) at the Okemos WM. Nothing new at the Okemos or Lansing Mall area Target or Lake Lansing WM. Wave 7 clogging the shelves at the 2 WMs for anybody that needs 'em.

Also, I don't need the MASS CC or Cartoon logo Viper at all, so if anybody wants 'em, LMK. I'm also open to trading anything from this wave except the Bludd for a CG officer and a few random CG accessories... see my FT list here

Came home from up north yesterday, and stopped at a Wal-Mart in Clio, just outside Frankenmuth. They must have just finished re-stocking the Joes. I ended up with a set of Wave 8, and a couple extra Vipers. They still had a ton of Wave 7 left if anyone in that area needs them.

Has anyone found the Wave 4 comic packs in this area yet? All the stores I've been to recently have been packed with the older ones.

Unless Target has recently made changes, they use one number for each assortment. Unlike TRU and Wal-Mart, they use a specific number for each item.

Saginaw TRU lady was MEAN! ;-; She wasn't just mean to me, she was rather curt to the other guests in front of me, and pretty much accused me of thievery without saying I was a thief. But, I exchanged my Joe TRU 3-pack for the Cobra (non-CG) one, so hey.

And, just like shipwreak73 said, Bay City Wal-Mart has/had wave 7 & 8. Fortunately, I picked up a HISS Driver, and extra Wild Bill. Unfortunately, I missed every single figure of wave 8, except for two MASS Device Cobra Commander and two Vipers. Fortunately, though, I can pick up about 10-ish Vipers, and a Spirit, if anyone needs those, give me a shout. And if anyone really wants a MASS Device Cobra Commander... well, let me know too.

Nice!. I really need to borrow my friends camera again and take some pictures of my walls. One is about a 5ft squared area filled with all my 25th joes. And the other area is a 12' by 2 ft area currently that is filled with wave 8, and some odds and ends from comic packs to wave 5.

wal-mart - 3 buzzers, and 2 serpentors. the 3rd wave 7 case, which is very surprising to get 3 total cases, went within a day. And I took the wave 8 ones last monday. Also still loaded with too many wave 1- 3 comic packs.

Target - the comic packs wave 1 to 3 seem to be steadily moving off the shelves...only the hawk/scarlett packs left. They also have 1 wave 4 cobra commander, a bent up serpentor, and a roadblock.

Does anyone here ever look in Mt. pleasant for joes, or am i currently the only collector in this area?

young1nj, I would go to Mt. Pleasant if I didn't detest the fact that its 55 the ENTIRE way from Midland. I don't feel like getting a ticket at this point, because that would just be a kick in the head on top of gas being $4+/gallon.

Went to Bay City Wal-Mart again to grab Vipers and other things, found some and picked up one of the poor pegwarming w7 Snake Eyes, just because he's that cool. There are still two w8 Cobra Commanders, 2 w7 Duke, 4-ish w7 Snake Eyes and a couple Air Troopers and Scarletts there. Went to their Target and of course, found nothing but a Shipwreck and Serpentor or something like that. No wave 4 comic packs at any stores here, yet.

There seems to be someone else in my area that does indeed collect. It might have been young1nj though, I am not sure! (He hasn't posted in a day or so, so!) But anyway, the bottom line is, I went to Target today, and found half of wave 8. That is great news, but I am slightly baffled why someone wouldn't give the poor Baroness, Roadblock and Python Patrol Trooper a good home too! Cobra Commander is just a jerk, I can see why they left him. But I have those four now, plus a wave 8 Viper I picked up yesterday, if anyone else needs them, and congrats if the person who got the Snake Eyes, Major Bludd, Flint and Viper are here, they're all awesome figs!

Edit: I checked the Baroness... its the old crotch one. I am baffled how this Target got that, and a week ago when I got my stuff from CSC, I got a new crotch one, but hey... maybe a variant person wants it?

checked the Okemos Target and WM... nuthin. Ran the DCPI for the CPs at Target, and they didn't have any listed as in stock at all. There were like two CC/Duke ones hanging and 1 single buzzer on 8 pegs. I wanted to cry.

Wow... uh... I just have two words for today: Epic Win.

I went to the local Target, and picked up a TFU Battle Rancor and talking Indiana Jones. Some of the stuff he says is pretty neat, and the uncoiled whip he comes with is cool, aside from the fact he can't hold it at all. The Rancor is for d3troit, I sent a PM your way dude. The local Wal-Mart seemed to be losing more GI Joes, I think they were down to 14 or so. Just a couple more and they'll get some in, theoretically.

Went to Saginaw. State St. Wal-Mart had the remnants of one case of wave 7, including two Vipers and a Spirit Iron-Knife, which I picked up. The rest of Saginaw was pretty barren, I used the price/stockroom checking device to check for GI Joe vehicles, and it said they had some in the stockroom. The associate/team member/employee I found was nice enough to check in the back for me to see if they had any HISS tanks. They didn't, but it was worth a shot. The other stores pretty much had nothing (Bay Rd. Wal-Mart and TRU, didn't stop at Meijer).

Lastly I went to Bay City. At Wal-Mart I found an opening cockpit Iron Monger, along with a TF movie Premium Bumblebee for Provn, if he still needs one. Sent you a PM too, dude. I went to Target and didn't find anything. I hadn't gone to any Meijers all day, but like stopping at Target when I found wave 7, something told me, hey, go to Meijer. So, I did. And of course they had Joes. They had the leftovers of two cases of wave 7. One regular, and one revision. They had four Vipers, wave 4 Cobra Commander, one wave 7 Snake Eyes, one wave 7 Duke, a HISS Tank Driver and... a Firefly! I picked up the Vipers, Firefly and HISS Tank Driver. Pretty good haul there, and from Meijer. I kind of wish I had gone to the Saginaw Meijer now, but eh.

I now have a huge amount of figures that I don't need, personally... if anyone needs:

Oh, it was the hard to find figures from wave 8 in Target, in Midland. Someone else (same person?) nabbed all of wave 8 except for the Vipers (which I still have) and the Cobra Commanders which are on the pegs still, with some wave 7 Snake Eyes (a shame, its probably my favorite 25th anniversary figure) and a single wave 7 Duke. I am glad that someone is getting these figures around here, I just wish I knew who, so I could carpool with them if they live in Midland, or share information with them if they are at least in the area.

Saginaw Target allegedly has the vehicles in their stockroom, but no HISS Tanks.

And Mr. Focus and Provn, its not a problem. I am just doing what I have seen as an example set for me by people like you two and many others on this site and in this thread, already.

Edit/PS: The TFU Battle Rancor is fucking huge, by the way. Just thought everyone should know that.

talk about EPIC WIN! Went to Target in S. Lansing two days ago and not only did they have the new CPs, but get this peg assortment:
2 Shippy/Copperheads
2 FF/SS
1 Duke/Redstar
2 cases of Wave 8 (saw 2! Mj. Bludds)
5+ vipers
1 Zartan
1 Firefly
Also had the huge Rancor set and lots of new Indy & Batman figs

I showed some restraint and only picked up 1 each of the Duke and Copperhead CPs... I take not buying the FF/SS as a personal victory against my compulsion, but am, of course, regretting it now...

I was stupefied... wanted to run back here and post that the new CPs were hitting target and give a heads up to the Lansing area members, but Hisstank was down... baaaad timing.

So go check your Targets. I'd be willing to run to that Target again to see pick stuff up for people (give me a chance to rethink that FF/SS CP), but like I said it was a couple of days ago...

Nothing else interesting around here it seems beside the new shipment of revision cases. I saw over 10 Duke w/ JP warming the pegs, and filling up literally all the pegs at one Target w/ thier friends the Scarlett and Hawk CP's. Nothing else of interest, only Dukes, CC, and a Spirit. Though there has been a Stalker that has been on the pegs for over a month now, can't figure that one out. :)

Walmart on Lake Lansing Rd in Lansing is loaded with the Wave 7 revision cases (the ones with Firefly, Zartan, and SE v1). There must have been 5 or more cases of that out. No wave 8 stuff and no new comic packs there though.

Walmart - Okemos - basically nothing worth noting.

TRU - Okemos - they had 3 each of the Senior Ranking Officer 3 packs (but only the Joe one and the blue cobra one). I did not see any of the Crimson cobra sets. The rest of the Joe selection was pretty crappy.

This same TRU also had 2 of the Star Wars Hoth Patrol exclusive sets and some bigger vehicles, like the Y-Wing and TIE fighter.

No wave 4 comic packs at any stores in Midland or Bay City. Target in Midland -has- to get these in soon, they just got wave 8 not too long ago. Both Wal-Marts are still flooded with ridiculous amounts of wave 1-3 comic packs. Wal-Mart in Midland finally 10 figures on its pegs, probably getting more figures any day now, unless someone is hiding figures to get them to get more in, which uh... doesn't work, of course.

Well, he has some cool weapons that would fit Joe ninjas well. Somebody posted a NC Leader custom using this fig's head and weapons... The ring weapons alone are a steal for $3

Also, for the Star Wars fans, they had a bunch of the new battlepacks (Stap Attack and Hoth Patrol)...I think at least 3 of each. Plus they restocked with the newer cases that has Commander Neyo, Utapau Shadow Trooper, Shadow Stormtrooper, Cover Ops Trooper, Zev Senesca, etc. There must have been 4 cases of that one.

Yeah... so... I would have loved to have posted this yesterday, but I had a little vehicle troubles... but anyway.

As of yesterday at approximately 2pm, the Midland Target had a new case of wave 8. I picked up the Artic Trooper Snake Eyes, Major Bludd and TF Flint. I doubt any of it is still there, but I thought I'd at least say what I had found. I haven't been anywhere since, because I've basically been having my car worked on, since then. I'll resume the hunt tomorrow! (maybe even later tonight)

Did a little run today looking for wave 8 and cp 4's with little luck on those. I hit the Farmington Target on Grand River and found a lone Night Specter for 6 bucks and some change. If only I coulda' found a Hiss.... ah well. Eventually.

I had a chance to meet Eddie on Wednesday and he's a really cool guy, thanks again for the hook up man, much appreciated and I'm looking forward to returning the favor.

Anyway. I went on a hugegantic (yes, that's a word.) toy run. Saginaw, Bay City, Mt. Pleasant and of course Midland. In Saginaw I found the (sort of?) famous $1.90 squished Major Bludd (still needs a foot bath to straighten his leg) and Arctic Snake Eyes (now Arctic Stalker). There are still the rest of the figures in the case at the Saginaw TRU, in theory. Someone might have obtained them, the Python Patrol Officer and TF Flint were in pretty darn good condition. (The figures anyway) TRU also had plenty of non-squished wave 8, but no Major Bludds.

None of the other stores had anything worthy of note, but I did today return two Major Bludds, Firefly and a TF Flint to the Midland Target, so those will be out soon on the shelf in theory (maybe today?). No new vehicles or even wave 4 comic packs anywhere, which is disappointing.

Ultimately, I was looking for Transformers Animated figures, and didn't find the one I wanted, which was a Grimlock. If anyone finds one, I'd be grateful.

TRU - Okemos had the SRO 3 packs of the Blue Cobra and Joe sets (no crimson cobra) - 1 of each. They also had 2 of the Snake Eyes vs Red Ninjas 5 pack and 1 of the Night Watch 5 packs.

Target - Okemos had very little of anything. This store has not restocked in some time and usually is the worst stocked Target of the ones I check.

Walmart - Okemos - SE wave 7, and some comic packs.

Target - Brighton - Baroness, CC Wave 4, CC wave 8, older comic packs

Sears - Brighton - Roadblock, Flint and CC from Wave 8, Duke Jetpack and a few other wave 7 figs. They are still $5.99 at Sears, but they tend to have a limited selection.

Heh, its an odd story, but I called the local Target after reading reports on TFW2005 of people asking Target employees to look in the back, I called with the DPCI # and an employee confirmed they had the Voyagers in the back. Well, they said they had a street date (which has been shattered into pieces...) and I thought to myself that that would just not do! ME WANT GRIMLOCK! So, I went to the guest services counter, and sure enough, they found one in back and let me buy it. So, I am +1 Animated Grimlock. Sorry for making people look!

In same Target, and in Wal-Mart in Midland, there is no sign of the vehicles. Target in Midland has the Major Bludds and other figures I returned if anyone needs them.

Saves on shipping that way, and can take advantage of people's different local distributions.

That's a great question swangs. For a moment, I thought I was reading the Michigan meet up thread (there is one out there). I have searched two KMarts in the Kalamazoo area without any luck. New Michigan sightings are getting pretty dry around here (note the flood of off topic material). I'm sure by the time the gathering of Michigan Joe collectors gets together, Wave 2 vehicles will fill everyone's trunks.

Midland stores didn't have anything new today, I am really quite surprised that Target isn't getting any new comic packs (unless they put them out after I went there, I went before they had even put out the wave 1 deluxe Transformers Animated figure case they got in) because they've had the same three Scarlett and Hawk packs for a while. Wal-Mart had nine figures, none of which were new or exciting, and the comic packs were much the same, just wave 1-3 overflowing. Nothing at Meijer, except to say that their price for GI Joes is now $6.99 as well.

Saginaw has the same stuff as usual. TRU has some wave 8 including a Major Bludd, but no more squished wave 8, however. The Target in Saginaw had a Firefly & Storm Shadow comic pack, so I obviously missed the one that I want, Duke and Red Star.

Bay City was good for me, but not for Joes. I got my Voyager Optimus Prime at Target, and if anyone needs one or a Grimlock, Target in Bay City had one of each as of 1pm. As for Joes, Target had nothing, but Wal-Mart still has about 5 Vipers, and the Pine Rd. Meijer has a bunch of Sgt. Stalker, still, plus a Cobra Air Trooper, and a Red Ninja, among other things. Other than that... no vehicles or comic packs in Bay City.

Went out looking for Wave 9 today at some Walmart's & a few Targets I passed on the way.

Walmart- Troy lots of Roadblocks, CC's & Vipers, old CP's
Walmart- Sterling Heights Van Dyke Nothing. As in, not one thing.
Walmart- Sterling Heights M-59 & Mound- The same Stalker & Buzzers that are always there
Walmart- 23 Mile & M-53 A couple Vipers, lots of old CP's

Target- Sterling Heights 16 Mile & Dequindre Same Buzzer's & CC that's always there
Target Sterling Heights Van Dyke Same nothing they always have...

I'm leaving town again for work tomorrow, so I'll be hitting up all the Walmart's along my way!

As said, nothing at Livonia Plymouth Road Target and Walmart.

Livonia:
K-Mart at Plymouth, nothing new. Still has a single Viper, Serpentor and Duke w/ Flag.

Canton
Wal Mart: Nothing new, no wave 4 comic packs, no wave 9 singles.
Target has single CC's and a few comic packs.
Meijer has one single card Cobra Officer.

Garden City:
K-Mart has nothing Joe related at all.

Westland:
Target, nothing new.
Toys R Us has 5 packs, a couple 3 packs, old comic packs and several Buzzers.

Off Topic:
Meijer stores in Westland and Canton has DC Universe Series 2 out. I picked up a Black Manta for my brother.

as somebody who is just getting into this line, let me ask you something: how hard do you gulp when you drop $40 for a leader class figure?

I was digging the leader bulkhead, but not for 4-0 big ones.

Transformers are my main hobby and I don't even think twice about dropping $40 on a figure and I typically buy two of each. If you think that is bad I dropped $200 on a Crystal Convoy recently and I have a couple of figures pre-ordered over the $200 range at BBTS and tfsource.

On my way back home from my trip, I found lots of Wave 4 CP's at the Jackson Walmart. Lots as in 4 each of CH/SW & Duke/RS, but no FF/SS. Still no singles either.

The Jackson TRU had a lot of 5 packs, plus both TRU exclusives & 1 CObra Command 3 pack. No singles.

The Jackson Target has nothing worth anyone's time.

Sweet. I saw those on Tuesday when I went and grabbed a Firefly/SS to make my 2x Transformers: Animated Deluxe purchase into a purchase I could use the $5 off coupon with. Free comic packs are some good. ($10 for each deluxe normally, but $8 on sale, plus $5 coupon = $1 comic pack) I already also have them all thanks to Mr. Focus, and eBay. Better luck next time, Chindogg.

Those're new right? I got Sgt. Bazooka too, but I opened him already. :D I have an awesome story about it too. I went to my Wal-Mart after work, and was looking at the pallets of new stuff. I saw a box... it said GI JOE WAVE 5 08. My jaw hit the floor. Four days after retail sightings everywhere is some good. There were two guys wandering around and had the employee I had open the box, open a box for them. I asked what they were looking for, and they were looking for Star Wars figures. As it turns out, they were with the Dayton Dragons, who were playing the Great Lakes Loons! They were trainer/managers, and were really cool guys. We went to Meijer too, and they showed me an interesting hiding spot for figures, as well. So, wave 9 and an awesome story... what a great night!
