Crap...I KNOW I've passed 'em up all over the place, but right now I couldn't pinpoint one location. Probably because I ran around to about 6-7 stores today. Decided to grab myself a 30th Viper from CVS and countered that rip off price of $12 with a $7 Law and Order score at Meijers.

But STILL want so badly to find a REN SS!!!

Another thing you can try is to go on Fee-bay, pay $30-40 for him and wait about a week. I know, I know, that's a lot of money for the little prick, anyway, after spending that much money you'll see that you'll start seeing him everywhere. But just remembered this: TRU has a nice built in hiding spot. Above the pegs there are signs for what toys are below. These flip up for extra storage, but are usually empty. If you're looking closely, you can see from underneath (there are holes) if something is up there, but you have to be really looking for something. I've tossed a TF:A Rodimus and Arcee up there before when I didn't have cash to buy them, and days later they were still there.

Maybe this is a good spot for "us" to stash things for one another, at TRU at least ...

You're absolutley right, its where they put their overstock. Great hiding spot, you would just have to be specific on location, of course, that goes without saying. Lots of spots to choose from, we'll just have try and see which one works the best:)

Don't know if you want to come this far east, but...Walmart in Commerce Twp., Pontiac Trail/Haggerty, has two Techno Vipers. They had 'em last week, and I saw 'em again today.

I sold and made out okay. Sold a few box sets of joes for a bit under E-bay prices to help a few fellow collectors out and brought in some cash to help the wife think that collecting is still okay. Missed out on a rough looking terror drome while I was setting up. Watched a guy get that and a box of parts for $35.00. Blew that I missed out on that but besides that and a few other vendors there was not a ton of joe stuff.

The reason I ask is I'm desperately looking for Mr. Surfacer 1000 or 1200 as an aerosol and my LHS has been giving me the runaround on ordering it for the last year.

Anyone that finds any, I'll pay the retail plus $8 finders fee, and whatever the extra shipping costs there are for an aerosol.

I did order some off of ebay but I have a 2.5 month wait on it as it ships over the Pacific.

Ok so I finally scored the Ren SS this weekend in a total fluke. I even had the lady walk over to me while I was in TRU and say you will like this even better. Buy 2 and get the third figure for free. So if you look at it like that I got a free Ren SS.

Still not much love on restocks with the Z vipers in my AO- I have the only two I have ever seen in the wild.

Picked up Retalliation Roadblock and Storm Shadow from the Northville Meijer tonight. I left 1 of each of those along with Cobra Commander, Zartan, and Snake Eyes.

OK honestly the storm shadow is pretty good. No real complaints. Roadblock you're going to find what you've heard about - the stupid right hand is just idiotic and unnecessary. I wasn't born with a brick in my hand and Roadbrock shouldn't have it either. Just a horrible execution in that regard. So here's my suggestion to you... Pick up an old school Captain America while you're at it. You probably want to use that blondie head for someone else anyways, might as well use the hands for something. They work fairly well. The ankle articulation loss hasn't bugged me yet but I'm sure some day I'll be looking to swap out at the knee.

Look - articulation isn't everything. I accept that. But it is worth something and losing ankles + 1 hand is just not a real strong statement for me.

Cobra Commander - IMO way too bright on the blue. I know that's a stupid comment because any blue is going to make the guy target practice, but just not impressed at all. the Zartan strikes me as interesting but I tend to steer towards some semblance of reality so I can't go for it and the Snake eyes... my feeling is we have top notch snake eyes already. I'm not buying figures just to buy figures. I want them to be useful and this one just brings nothing new to the party.

Get Roadbrock though - I'm calling him Kiwi - a New Zealand former rugby player/SAS in my verse'...

If you're really creative you can paint the hell out of this to create a big lob as well. He's that tall and if you replaced the lower leg with a luke cage or something like that you'd have him even taller. Perfect for a Big Lob custom IMO.

Looks like a glimpse of things to come for the Retaliation line up here, my Walmart has redone their toy section and there is now 8 waiting pegs that all say G.I.Joe $6.97 and then room on the shelves for vehicles!

Too bad some of the Retaliation figures look underwhelming :(

The retaliation SE and SS are so far my favorites until a couple of the other ninjas come out as well as those 3 packs with the kickass webgear. SS is a kick ass figure even if I can't see SS when I look at him. I'm trying to decide what I'll make him into. Either a Billy or Dojo, not sure yet.

The SE with the POC wave 3 commando head and webgear is going to be the very best V1 I can ever make. Still trying to decide if I want to give him Ren Ripcord legs or not.

Overall, these are great stand alone figures even if their weapons are bunk.

They have duke snakeeyes and stormshadow, Lake Lansing has roadblock snakeeyes and stormshadow, dewitt has none and i checked okemos on saturday they had no figures so they are primed for at least 2 boxes. I managed to get a cobra commander and cobra trooper at GL. Let the hunt begin!

Yup - that's the one. That's weird that they were cleared out so quick. I didn't take much off the pegs and somewhat disappointedly I probably am scaled back on the line for this film. I probably will like the movie better but I'm kind of funny about my realism in the joe-verse. Roadblock doesn't even have a sidearm... or two hands LOL

Yup, it was in the toy section on one of the endcaps. They had two of them and I bought one. It rang up at $17.48 so I snagged it. I want one more than I'm done. Time may running out though, that's a great price for those....

Anyone else a little frightened by the low inventory on Avengers toys especially with how big that franchise is? There is nothing up here. Tru in flint had a large section up front that never had more than a dozen figs.

I have noticed the same thing at every store I have been to. There is virtually no Avengers product on the shelfs. That goes with Star Wars as well. Not a fan of Avengers and have quit collecting Star Wars. Something just doesn't seem right in Hasbo's action figure world. Somethings up, not sure what the deal is. So, to answer your question, yes, I am quite concerned.

I've been to a few spots on the West side of the Suburbs and really disappointing pickings all around the lineup. Avengers you have the base toys but nothing in addition. Very little in the way of variety out there - I've seen about 8 different figures. GI Joe - I mean we're all over the current offerings right? We've done that for 6 months now and while we may like them, there's been nothing to replace. Star Wars has even been slow.

Very odd but has saved my pocket book at least.

I have to admit i find it hard to feel for the people that complain that they dont have a dollar general but live near a ross. Ret toys are out at the muskegon TRU for any west siders.

Went to all the Bay City stores to see if anyone out their stuff out with the street date discarded. Only store that actually had anything was K-Mart. Which was a surprise as they haven't had anything in ages. Sadly, what they did have were just the motorcycles.

I saw the toy manager at Wal-Mart and despite what I told her, she was sticking to the 28th street date.

And out in Okemos, Target & Wal-Mart had nothing (literally not a single joe figure, except 1 Ren. Firefly) but TRU had some Retaliation vehicles & no figures. They had 2-3 Awe Striker ninja jeeps and the motorcycles.

Yeah, I am aware of what that link says. The employee I talked to went in the back and pulled out some of the roll play stuff (masks and swords) and said that was all they had in the stockroom. Not sure what the true story is, but I just let it go after that.

Went to Port Huron today, here's what I saw:

Meijer - single case of wave 1. Grabbed the troop builders, left the rest. Figures rang up @ $6.97 price point.

Target - single case of wave 1, minus Red Ninja. Grabbed black CC and brown Joe Trooper. Also had the motorcycles, Ninja 4x4, Fang Boat, Hiss Tank V6, and the 3 packs (1 of the Beach Head/Roadblock/Kamakura & 2 of the Ninja Battle)

Toys R Us - single case of wave 1. Grabbed Cobra Trooper & Red Ninja. Left the rest, including a blue Joe Trooper.

TRU in Novi was just putting everything out at 7:00 p.m. tonight, minus...oddly enough...the single figures. They volunteered to check the back, and no figures. Weird. They had 4 of the three packs (two of each), the vehicles, etc. I bought nothing, left it all. Still ticked I bought one of the three packs for $30 + $10 shipping from one of our site sponsors...and I find them for $20 in the store. Found a full case of Dollar General Joes today! I found them at the N. Larch store in Lansing... I also checked the Saginaw and Cavanaugh Rd (across from Hawk Island) Dollar Generals but nothing at either.

I picked up 2 each of Shipwreck, Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Duke & Cobra Trooper. I left the 2 Black Cobra Commanders if anybody in the area wants those.

I'm keeping the Dukes & 1 each of the others. That leaves 1 Cobra Trooper, Shipwreck, Storm Shadow & Snake Eyes. I picked them up for trade. I'll be updating my B/S/T later, but wanted to give Lansing people the heads up if they want those Black CCs and to possibly keep looking around local DGs. Good luck everybody!

My theory is people are acting like crackheads and will cave to any price. Outside of the 3 packs, all of the retaliation figs I've bought were at meijers. I've looked for specifics at other stores but I've easily talked myself out of whatever they have. If people stop buying this stuff on eBay at 300% markup, the scalpers will eventually start giving up.

I still have a shipwreck for trade.. and decided not to keep the 2 Dukes I found, so if you or anybody else wants them, check my BST. Not really wanting to ebay these for crazy prices, just trying to fill in some holes through trades.

I'm holding out hope these become as plentiful as the Combat Heros that were hold the "cheap Joes" pegs at DG stores before these figures... I figure DG and other dollar stors want to keep some Joe product on the peg, and only seem to have one option. Until recently that was the Combat Heroes singles; now I see those in the clearance bins at DB. I'm hoping that from now on, that Joe slot will be these figures.

Tuesday Morning- just avatar and air bender stuff, although they did have a transformers warpath for just $6.97.
Kohls- had an expanded universe space trooper, never saw one in the wild before.

Big Lots has Mars 3 packs! I grabbed 2 left 14 behind, only $7 bones each!
Dollar general- nothing
Walgreens- scored a shocktrooper, left a steel brigade behind.
Tj maxx- just had a vintage mace for $3
Wal mart- just some well picked over retaliation, no troop builders left and they had a ton of deluxe Thor figures for $5. I left it all.
Meijer- just renegades CC and SE.

All that and all I ended up with is a Red Ninja, Shocktrooper, and two mars 3 packs, but it was totally worth it
