I've been waiting for a 25th Cover Girl for about 2 years. I felt we'd surely get something close with RoC after seeing the Paris Pursuit Scarlett outfit. Guess not.

After seeing the TRU 5-pack with "Dial-Tone", I knew exactly what I'd do with her. The big holdup was the jacket... I tried for 6 months to get a DTC Cover Girl for less than $30, but gave up on it. Finally I snagged a Star Wars Talon Karrde Comic Pack and set to work.

Recipe:

Torso, Legs, Hands: Rise of Cobra TRU 5-pack Dial-Tone
Head: Rise of Cobra Reactive Armor Scarlett
Hair: Comic Pack 25th Scarlett
Arms: General Hawk (wave 9)
Jacket: Star Wars Talon Karrde
Pistols: Rise of Cobra Cover Girl

Mods: Removed ponytail from Scarlett's hair and put it on the RoC Scarlett's head. Modded hands to fit Hawk arms. Removed nametag and sanded/painted to match. Removed camo from Dial-Tone's entire torso.

Thanks fellas. I am not 100% in love with the head. But I'm tired of that 25th Scarlett noggin looking like an anime character and I prefer the short hair from the cartoon.

Everybody tries to make Cover Girl sexy and I never saw her with long hair. She seemed kinda butch with the short hair and wearing the mechanic-ish wear, so I see her as more tomboy.

To me, Cover Girl provides cover, and the codename is more tongue in cheek. The model thing always seemed kinda dumb to me. Also she looks kinda like my mom with that head/hair combo and that sorta weirds me out. :)

I had to do the Shippy pic. My "default" badass Shipwreck is the single carded version. But the Sunbow Shipwreck works great for cornball shots.

As for the paint removal, I probably contracted cancer from the denatured alcohol and thinner used. Took probably 4-5 hours between scraping with an Xacto and using q-tips and chemicals.

I was super careful with the Xacto to leave no scratches. I felt like I could be a dental hygienist afterwards.

I would have painted the shirt slightly lighter but that would defeat the purpose of removing all the paint for a low-paint custom. So I guess she's wearing a jumpsuit.

I may look into the pilot Scarlett head. I never got that figure because I had no need for her but I could always put a Baroness spare head on her and use her as a female pilot.

I just couldn't bear using an anime head on her though. Dial-Tone has a great face but I'm waiting to see how the Resolute Scarlett final sculpt turns out. If the head sucks, I'll be using the DT head there.

That pilot Scarlett head is a very nice idea! I think it's going to look great with the comic pk Scarlett hair. If you have some difficulties in trying to locate this figure, I can look for you here, I've seen plenty of those on the shelves recently. Otherwise your figure is perfect! Hasbro has done a very bad job on these first ROC figures. Scarlett and their version of Cover Girl are so hideous.

I'm alright with the RoC Scarlett head for now, but I'll be on the lookout for that pilot head. It's different enough for me to be okay with it, and it's a lot "cuter". The thing that gets me is I've seen the damn figure several times on the shelf and passed her up!

I may go more auburn on her hair like on my first head for her, but the photos make her hair color seem way brighter than it actually is in person.

Like before, feedback's appreciated, as I'll obviously try to fix things... :)

Yeah, I'm just tired of the "sexy" Cover Girl and I want her to be as vintage as possible. The short bob is how I like Cover Girl but not a style I usually prefer on most women...

she looks very good. Not really feeling the first head, it makes her look kinda ugly but the 2nd head just looks off on her. It's tough making a good looking CG. Your's is one of the best.
