Who wears Chucks?

Everybody who's anybody knows what Chuck Taylors are! But how many of you have e[m and wear em like a religion like I do?! I have had up to 25 pairs of these things and 5 pairs at one time period!

i wear nothing but johnston & murphy to work; pumas, lace-up birks, and flip flops for nights/weekends.

i love them, but don't wear them religiously. i used to wear nothing but boots, but now i wear either puma romas (comfy as hell) or adidas sambas. aside from those and classic black low chucks, i have a pair of macbeths that are really nice.

i wear chucks on my cars and harleys. white wall tires, i weigh 220, 6'2 athletic those shoes would destroy my feet,.....i used to rock turqouise and a hot pink pair though back in 85-89 when i was a skate kid.

Target just started to carry Converse One-Stars. I bought a pair of black sweade low-top skate sneakers. They also have some sneakers that look like the original Chucks. I had a pair of Chucks as a kid back in the 80's, but I never liked them.

i still have a pair of lowtops that are atleast 10 years old. the rubber dired out but i still wear them ocassionally

I wore some red ones in 1986-87, when I was in second grade or so. Then, I bought a pair in middle/high school out of nostalgia, and thought they were uncomfortable as hell. So, I haven't worn them since and don't wear them now. I wear the most comfortable tennis/cross-training shoes that I can find. Indonesian sweat shops make some of the best, in my opinion.

The Chucks are more of a setamental value to me. Most of my family has at least worn 'em especially my dad who I've always looked up too. But now Chucks are all that I have. They're friggin versitle.

I haven't worn chucks in a long time. I guess I never bought them out of social dissent or obligation. In high school, I always wore a suit and was often confused for the manager of my friend's band. I also find the credit commerciall where the guy is wearing a pair of chucks on his wedding day explains why he's the idiot in the situation, while assuming it's his sole responsablitiy to be the bread winner and descision-maker.

All the crap aside, I'd wear chucks if given the option, but I don't allow myself the choice.

the only bad part about wearing them chucks in Michigan this time of year, is that your feet are crazy cold...it's pretty much like you're wearing only socks...

another cool brand are PF Flyers...i think they have just about as much history as Chucks...check em' out

I've got a couple pairs that only get occasional wear. One red pair with black ink stamped on it and a black pair with flames that only goes with certain clothes. Matter of fact I pretty much only wear them when I play with my band. For the last 17 years I've always had a pair around.

When I'm not at work my footwear choice since about the age of 6 has been Chucks or Black and White Checkered Vans slip-ons. Why change now? I currently have 5 pairs of Chucks... 2 high-top black, 2 low top black, and an odd pair of Grey chucks for special occasions.

Also, I was in two weddings where "Chucks" were the the official groomsmen shoes, (I did not go that route in my own wedding) Though the sentiment was in homage to our counter-culture roots... I think in both cases we just ended up looking like a late 90's Christian Ska Band. sigh...

well, only resentlly have I been wearing Chucks. I had a pair of black low tops last year, but I got a new pair of bright red ones I love wearing. Hopefully these won't die on me like the last ones (the last ones died because I went out in the rain when they said it would not rain... damn weatherman)

ok I'm opening myself up with this one but as often as I can get away with it I wear Crocs. Yep. I do. They are ugly as sin and the new ones I got for work (go figure) kind of look like black clown shoes but I have problems with my feet so it is that or wear the inserts the dr gave me. the inserts start hurting after a while but the crocs never do. So I don't wear them to be "cool" and I don't see how anybody can but I've never had any other shoes that were more comfortable.

I used to wear them when I was a teenager. I've been wearing Adio shoes for a few years now though. I Keep considering buying a few pairs of chucks just for old times sake, then I always hear someone several years younger than me claim that they wore "Chucks before they were cool" and it makes me roll my eyes, so I just move on.
