That sucks that not all WMs will carry the 25th at the beginning. Now I have to start hitting up WMs farther away from me.
I hope something on that list isnt to far away

Please post the stores in Northern California if you can. I'll be your best friend.

This ties into the news reported earlier about select walmarts putting new TF and joe merchandise on endcaps in order to gauge interest for fall/xmas. I hope VA is on that list, so far I have found nothing!

Awesome! Thanx for the info.
So let me get this straight, only select Wal-marts will get the product that is supposed to be MASS released.
Target seems to want to wait till the end of August to put their Joes out......Hmmm, looks like K-Mart and TRU are getting my money

Only select walmarts will get the product initially. Once the figures hit the other retail outlets for mass market, the rest of the walmarts will recieve the figures.
I'm just going to wait for WM, TRU or Target. The Kmarts around here are a complete mess in the toy aisle. Its as if no one cares about that section and literally throws product around in there. There is no use for shelf tags over there!
The walmarts with high consumer traffic will probably get these first. The 14th is coming up so I think we will know by then which stores have them or not(thats the day set for completion of the displays).

The five packs have been found at TRU in Oregon, but no other retailers that I know of.
Are the single carded figs supposed to be out yet as well?

Yes, many people are finding the single packs along with the 5 packs....unfortunately many of them are reporting that each store has only gotten one case of each!

Thanks for the info.
The three stores that had them here also had very limited quantities of the five packs and no single carded figs.

its crazy but Hasbro is testing the run here and there in the states, and whats more crazy is that Hasbro is right down the street from me, im in CONN, and Rhode island is right next to me, it should be here by now or new york.

Since the line isn't tied to a movie, there isn’t any rush to get them on the shelves. I have a feeling that some retailers may even put them off until it’s convenient for them to reset their toy aisles. I think Target is a prime example. Supposedly, they will be resetting in early august and that is when we will see the 25th figures.
Besides, the sales from anything G.I. Joe in the last 5 years has been mediocre at best and I doubt many retailers are willing to open the flood gates for them.
I believe many retailers will order a small quantity and test the market with them. It’s one of the reasons why I refused to purchase mine online. I love toy hunting and I think it’s important for me to support the line by buying them where I want them to be stocked. Even if that requires me to be patient and hunt these little bad boys down. :)

I like this guy already ;)
I couldn't agree more, Crazy. Unfortunately, sometimes, I feel as though we as a community are our own worst enemy when it comes to product selection at retail. When we all buy stuff online, we don't pick it up at retail (obviously). There's no need to continue rambling, as you already know where I'm going with this....but I just want to offer this example:
My local TRU has about 2 cases worth of DTC Cobra Trooper figures. Think that if there were no place to find them online that they'd still be on pegs?

The Joes are in the Chicago area. I scored 2 Cobra and 1 Joe 5 Pack from TRU and 2 full sets of the single cards from Kmart.

It will take a while for it to develop but I can see this changing many different markets. Our beloved toys could be one of them.
If Hasbro could make it so all stores have to sell them for a minimum amount and can’t have bargain bin pricing….some online prices will lose their luster and it will increase sales in brick and mortar locations. I am willing to pay an extra buck or two if this ultimately increases our selection at our local retailers.
More sales for retailers = more reason to carry more stock = better selection for us plastic addicts. Which means I no longer have to plot the downfall of some six year old as I see him making his way to the check out counter with my Firefly figure in his grubby little hands. There should be another one on the pegs. :)

I found the singles a K-mart, but I have checked three wal-marts in the last two days and seen no sign of any Joes other than the Sigma Six stuff.

I'm in Reno, NV and both K-marts and our TRU has gotten them in, both single packs and the 5 packs. But they are only getting in a case at a time. Nothing at any of our 5 Wal Marts yet, heck we just got Gung Ho, Inferno, IG wave in.
Was'nt Lockdown, Samurai SS, and Toxic Zartan suppost to be with that wave?
Thanks Joe

They were. In fact they were originally slated to come out before them, in march I believe. However Hasbro decided to retrofit them with kungfu grip, hence the delay.

Well, it figures, Wal-Mart Screws us yet again, it was pressure from Wal-mart that killed the line back in the 90's (they didn't wan to commit to large orders, and the shelf space for vehicles). then they give more shelf space to the lenard CORPS crap from 2000- today, and now hasbro gives us fans the best Joe line in years and Wal-Mart does it to us yet again with a "Wait and See approach" I'm Taking my money to Toys R Us, Taget, and K-Mart!!! (this kind of info just burns me straight to the bone, I just wish Wal-Mart would jump on board like they did with Star Wars and Transformers then at least everyone could enjoy this new edition of figures.

I checked two Wal-marts today. The price tags for the 25th ann. singles were on the shelfs at both stores, but only one store had a place for the 5-packs, athough no new Joes to be found at either store.

I went to one Wal-Mart about 45+ miles from my house that hasn't reset but had a listing of 4 pegs of singles and shelf space for the 5-packs. Another Wal-Mart about 16 miles away had 4 pegs for the singles but I didn't see a space for the 5-packs, I will check it again in a few weeks. The town I live in however isn't getting them at all.

I don't like Wal Mart but I'm not going to travel everywhere to find these Joe's and Wal Mart is only 5 mins. away from my house. Every time I go to Target or Toy R Us they are never in stock. My shock of a surprise was when I went into the K mart store and saw that they had the 5 pack out already.

Unfortunately for me the nearest Target is 60+ miles from my house, the nearest Toys R Us is 100+, but at least K-Mart is only 35-40+ miles away. If I didn't go out on weekends hunting at stores 30+ miles away I wouldn't have most of the Transformers I do now and probably only a hand full of the Joes from the past 5 years. The town I once lived in, the one that is now 16 miles away, was about like the one I live in now. It could be a lot worse though. Collectors overseas have it a lot worse most of the time.

A small town called Baxley in the southern part of Georgia. I'm probably the only collector for miles so that helps a little but distribution sucks. It's not all bad. I like the small town/country atmosphere and gas is only $2.59 right now so that helps a little.

I have seen the figures at my local walmarts only to return to nothing. Target had a similar scenario but they seemed to restock a lot quicker and with more figures. I think these figures are selling very well in my area.

I went to Wal mart and they had nothing yet. Lets just say the same pallets that were left in the middle of the aisle on Sunday were still untouch today. This is one of the reasons why I don't like going to this store. So I went across the street to the Target and found Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow andSnake Eyes with the white wolf. Just two more to go. Still waiting on my PDD..
