cool i cant wait to see it , post some pics when you get it.. i passed on it becuase i dont have a cobra commander. i wanted to get the crimson CC but i couldnt. if they come out with the shield helm i will pick that up

Yep, just got the email as well. Yikes... my poor credit card. Oh well, it looks awesome.

I'm probably going to have the CCC on it, like they had it set up at the SDCC last year. Looked great with the cape.

Nice pics, can't wait to get mine in a few days. Looks like Sideshow is just putting the total number made on bottom...instead of actually numbering every piece like Recon at Waypoint. I love the fact that the throne is removable from the base.

Thanks, but no, sorry about that, I edited my number out this time. Sideshow is still numbering their environments. I also love how the throne is removable from the base btw. Not only did they make it removable, but it is magnetized to keep the throne secure to the base.

You know what Jeremy, I have been wondering this myself. I’m pretty sure the base is made of polystone, the throne itself is lighter but I think it is made of polystone as well. I’ll try to find out unless someone else here on the tank knows let us know. Oh yea, and post your pics if you get a chance once you get yours.

Thanks guys! I will try and post some more pics later today. The arrival of the throne, has made me realize I need to re-evaluate my display setup because I am running out of room! I really hope the battle helmet CC comes with a cape, Blue CC would look so much better on the throne with a cape rather than the trench coat.

I got mine today from Corner Store Comics. I am very happy with the quality. I don't have a Cobra Commander figure yet to go with it and although I'm pretty much decided on getting the standard regular blue edition, I'm really liking the SDCC Crimson exclusive edition more and more since the cape flows better while he is seated.

Customs were a real bitch for this one though - almost $40 CDN. Friggin' ridiculous that the government demands such a cut. Still, worth it to me.

Oh wow, I didn't know it had a wire in it. That definitely decides it for me. I think the Crimson one is well worth the extra bucks paid for it anyway. Looks more "royal".

The trench coat Cobra Commander has a wire around the bottom of the coat as well, but I agree the Crimson Commander looks more "royal".

I got my regular hooded CC at the MonkeyDepot sale, and the only real complaint i have is the coat. What's with the shoulder pads? It's the only part of the figure I really don't dig. Luckily he looks good without it. The Crimson CC looks amazing, but I think the cape might be a tad too big for my taste.

He does look good without the trench, infact mine is displayed without it. I believe the pads are from the Devils Due comic version of Cobra Commander with trench coat. I got lucky on E-Bay & scooped up an exclusive Commander for a $100 otherwise I would have been all over that Monkey Depot sale.

I'll have to post pics as soon as I get a chance. What number was your throne Mr. Gone? I have mine displayed in my Detolf case from Ikea, but it's to big so I had to take it apart...that or display it on top of the case.

We're having "camera troubles" here. We bought a nice new Canon recently but it seems like even when you put new batteries in it, it prompts you to change the batteries and shuts off.

My Detolf looks pretty sweet though, with the Throne and some other new stuff. I might break out the old camera tomorrow if the lighting is good...

Well, they're working on a helmet version apparently. They know that people loved the cape on CCC, so maybe that will be an extra with that one when it comes out.

Wow, the fact that the throne is removable and the bass looks so good almost gives you two dios in one. I could see any number of things at the end of that red carpet. A door, some sort of art on a stand like an expensive vase, or bust, or a precious stone, or jewelry. Heck, even a fireplace. That would make a killer base for a Castle Destro dio. It's versatility, might make me rethink that pricetag.

Actually, your right it would be great for a castle Destro dio. Infact I saw a fireplace dio on ebay or something...more of a cowboy set up, but would work. If nothing else it will make a great display for Destro when they release him.
