Do you think the seller's name (lace_thongs35) had something to do with it?

I remember playing the Stadium Events game at one of my friend's house. I doubt he still has that game and I know he didn't keep the boxes. Oh, what I'd do with a time machine! lol

Thanks for bringing up the Stadium Events game because that's the only reason why this auction went as high as it did. I don't think that everyone read completely through the article to find that part out.
I read this on Yahoo early this morning, but like any good news article the title draws you in to read it. When you finally read through it all you realize that it wasn't the system, but the game and the box itself that people were bidding on.
There are many rare games for the NES as well as other old systems that will still fetch a high price today. I remember reading another Yahoo story from a few months ago about the NES World Championship gold cartridge selling for around $17.5K.
I remember when I sold all of my NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis systems and games back in the day to buy a PS2. I was getting like $2 or $3 per game, but one game in particular, "Side Pocket" I got like $30 or $40 for.

No dice Chicago, I've worked long and hard getting rid of my own worthless comics. Actually about 2 years ago I donated them to a local comic shop that sent them all to the middle east for our troops. I forget the name of the program but it may still be going on? It felt good and trust me, those guys have no problems reading X-Force #1!

I don't know about anybody else, but if I had 13k of disposable income lying around to buy video games I sure as hell wouldn't buy them from someone named lace_thongs35.
I can think of a few other things that I could do with $13,000 and a girl with a user name like that. Hell, she can ask bootius_maximus27 and freekoftheweek69 to come along too!
With a name like that I can help but wonder how fast that 13k is gonna go to beer and cigarettes.

I just sold a complete Stadium Events at a yard sale the last time I moved. I got $10 for it in a bundle deal with Nightmare on Elm Street and Cybernoid.

That's because Cybernoid ROCKED!
I remember that being my brother's favorite game. I couldn't get him to stop playing it.

2,000 copies were made and it was only sold in one store chain in the north east for a few months. Only 200 copies (Including mine! Yay!) Were bought before the game was recalled do to poor sales. Now there are said to be only about 10 left with the box. And yes I was joking earlier when I said I had a complete one up until recently. However, I did let the game go back in the early 90's because it sucked.
