I thought it would have been cool if their last name was a palindrome like the word "kayak" is.

Their first names are already mirror images of each other so I thought it would have been cool if their last name was spelled the same way no matter if it was forward or backwards.

I'm not familiar with their "given" last name in the recent comics because I haven't read through any of them yet. I have to get to doing that one day.
