i am new and not sure if this was talked about or seen a picture. i have looked over all the check list and NEVER seen what i bumped into at toys r us 3 days ago. TRU sells the exclusive yellow painted barbecue figure, but i went to tru and looked through figure my nephew needs and found a ROC packaged ORANGE Barbecue with NO exclusive sticker on it, i bought it for $7.99. i will upload the picture of it, i took a picture of the found and back of the card before i gave it to my nephew. also a month ago i did see ONE SNow serpant That was not the exclusive with the regular paint job and i did not buy it, i have not seen that one since but ons on the exclusive black head ones

You've been hit by a repacker I'd say. Probably bought both the Barbeque and Snow Serpent and repacked them with the 25th versions and returned them to the TRU to get the money back and still keep the new figures. Shady practice that alot of people are doing I'm affraid. Look out for a repacked Bench Press and Firefly too, probably the same person if you find those too.

These RoC figures are sadly so easy to repack and be able to do so without leaving any clues behind. I did one joking around awhile ago and was deeply amazed and dissappointed at the same time as to how insanely easy it was to do without leaving a trace behind to make someone think otherwise.

Can you tell if this is a real Hasbro issued error or a repack?

Now if that would have been on a Walmart rack for $5, it would have been worth it. Ah, maybe it is still worth it.

Anyhoo, welcome to the Tank! Enjoy your time here.

What I don't understand is why someone would go through the effort of taking off the TRU Hall of Heroes logo sticker though?

I'd rather have that one than the TRU exclusive.

At least he repacked the backpack, too...

Man, you have got to make that your new signature! I'm still laughing at that one.

CobraCrimson

The sad thing is, to repack these RoC single carded figures, you don't need to remove the bubble at all! Just carefully pull back the tape....well, I best not give any ideas, lol

It would be better if they used that break-apart tape like a lot of stores use for price stickers nowadays...

It might be easier to tear open, but at least you would know somebody had been in there.

I must have eyeballed CS SE for a minute straight trying to make sure he wasn't repacked somehow when i finally saw him...

my question the orange barbecue figure IF it is a repack, How was this figure originally issued. i have NEver seen it. can someone post a picture of its original packaging. this figure i have is the EXACT figure of the TRU exclusive except with the real paint job. anyway nephew was more excited to get the orange. and thanks you guys for info on repacks, i have seen repacks at walmart were someone bought resolute 5 packs and replaced all the figures inside which was real obvious

I have the orange one, but I'd sure like the yellow one. Any of you guys who hate yours can send it to me. :D

Only once did I see a repack, but it was so obvious I couldn't believe it. Someone repacked the RAM/flight pod set with what looked like a ninja motorcycle and... get this... a purple jet ski from the Cobra BUGG! They left Breaker oddly enough, but the Televiper was replaced with a Storm Shadow. That thing sat on the shelves for at least a week, too!

looks like a re-packer is on the loose in the big-easy....

I had got 2 Target Rescue sets as a gift from my lady, and they had both been molested by a repacker. The 2 snake eyes had been swapped for 2 of the CP Battle Damaged Snake Eyes. So i took them back to swap them out, and the other six on the shelves had been repacked with the same snake eyes battle damaged. very frustrating. I can see how my girl got tricked though, usually she's good about comparing the box/card art with the figure, but i guess she must have seen all 8 boxes with the same snake eyes and just assumed that was the correct pack-out.
