Iron Onslaught

First up is the Iron Onslaught. It's a mosh posh of 87 & 03 MCC parts. Repainted to suit the Iron Grenadiers, I was able to obtain true-to-scale repro decals from GIJoeHeaven.com, really adding the final touches to this project. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Comments & Suggestions welcome!

Here's a project that was worked on by Owner of a Lonely B.A.T., SingSingJohnny & Myself. Hope you enjoy!

Grime - Techno Viper

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/grime01.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/grime02.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/grime03.jpg

Grime – Techno Viper
Grime is a complainer. There is no one who knows engineering better than Grime that for sure, he can rebuild a bridge, fortify a location, improvise explosives, better than any Techno Viper out there, but you will get a steady stream of complaints the entire time. “It can’t be done, this is stupid, why are we doing this, it’s too hot, it’s too cold, the wire isn’t long enough….” In the end he gets the job done, which is exactly what Guillotine wanted for this position on the team. So he can complain all he wants just as long as he keeps doing the job, if it gets to be too much Guillotine will simply smack him around.

Glacier - Snow Serpent
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/glacier02.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/glacier01.jpg

Glacier – Snow Serpent
Glacier stood out far beyond any Snow Serpent past or present. On one particular mission his unit was left behind after Cobra retreated from the battlefield. Three years later Guillotine would encounter the former Snow Serpent on yet another Arctic campaign. It seems Joe green shirts had Guillotine’s unit pinned down in a crossfire, from out of nowhere Glacier showed up, and savagely turned the tide by gruesomely dispatching the green shirts. When questioned about how he had survived so long and where his unit was, his answer was just as grizzly. It seems he had deemed them to weak to survive, so one their first night; he killed them all, using all their gear to survive. Eventually he even ate them.

Gravedigger – Alley Viper
Prior to joining the Alley Vipers Grave Digger was well a grave digger. He buried the dead of Cobra Island. Not overly interesting by any means he often is found in his off duty hours at grave sites talking to headstones. He holds lengthy discussions with the dead, and claims they talk to him. Most would simply write that off as nonsense, but his uncanny ability to know when to move, or where to move could be information from beyond the grave. It’s hard to dispute a man who says to you carry a knife before the mission begins, and that very knife saves your life.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gash01.jpg

Gash – Frag Viper
Gash actually used to be a jai alai player in his younger days he was arrested and booted from the sport for knifing an official for a bad call, during the game. After his release from prison he immediately joined Cobra where his natural skills propelled him up the ranks of the Frag Vipers. Gash is actually one of the few Plague members that actively sought out his position on the team. Oddly Guillotine had planned on another man for the Frag Viper slot on the Plague, but after Gash challenged that man to one on one combat for the position and killed him, how could Guillotine say no?

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/ghost03.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/ghost02.jpg

Ghost – Night Viper
A man of little words, he speaks only when necessary. An expert shot, there is no weapon his is not capable of handling. Ghost is something of a mystery, he clearly has had some ninja training, and in battle both Slice and Storm Shadow have speculated that his style seems so familiar, yet neither can quite place from where. For a time it was believed he might be the world famous Firefly, but that was recently dispelled. One thing is clear about Ghost what ever his past, what ever his mystery we’ll only know about it when he’s good and ready to talk about it.

Gearbox - Track Viper
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gearbox01.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gearbox02.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gearbox03.jpg

Gearbox – Track Viper
Gearbox is a legend in the Track Viper corp. He allegedly pulled the engine out of a Night Raven and modified it to fit in a HISS mk II tank. That alone should make him stand out, but he also allegedly used said HISS tank to blow past the Cobra High Brass during one of their parades on Cobra Island. The tank was found hours later, the engine completely fused. They suspected it was Gearbox, but now one could ever prove he did it. Since joining The Plague he has become something of the team practical joker which from time to time has caused him some trouble among a group of soldiers who pride themselves on their seriousness.

Gasoline- Incinerator
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gasoline01.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gasoline02.jpg

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/mr_erickg/gasoline02.jpg

Gasoline – Incinerator
Gasoline’s personal file reads like something from ones nightmare. He’s logged nearly as much time in therapy as he has on the battlefield. Not to help him deal with his problem, but to make it worse. Gasoline wants everything to burn. If you looked up the term pyromaniac it would say see Gasoline. With burns on nearly twenty percent of his body, mostly self inflicted, he really enjoys spraying flames on anything or anyone; he was booted from the Incinerator corps for setting his commanding officer on fire, before joining the Plague. The man seemingly has no fear of fire, and welcomes burns as one would badges of honor. He does have a deep fear of Guillotine which seems to keep him in some form of order.

Up next are my Iron Makos - Destro's Elite Naval force. Tired of not having aquatic vehicles for my IGs, I came across the boats at Odd Lots looking for random stuff to paint and it just made sense. They look kind of like the old Cobra Pirhana. I really like how they came out. Hope you do too!

Thanks, man! :D I can't take the credit though, as it was all Wyse's work.

I did apply a few decals that really give it that production feel though, looks like it came right out of a box!

I'll try to remember to take updated pictures next weekend :D

Hey Tony! I found them at a store called "Big Lots". I had read on other boards where members were finding cool stuff called "Power Team Elite"...military styled toys. Pretty cool stuff!

I forget what the actual "brand" of these boats were, but they had alot of cool customizable stuff, like Quads, mini-tanks, etc.

Dude, dirt cheap too! I got both of these boats for under $20. With spraypaint, and the labels that I picked up from http://www.gijoeheaven.com I think I spent maybe $30 total (thats a high estimate too).

If you don't have a Big Lots in your area, let me know and I'll pick up anything you're interested in! :D

Mind you all these still need to be tweeked a bit before they are print ready, (man I really need to get on that soon) because they print a bit fuzzy (that's the bold text on grey, non bold will fix the issue), but they are represenatives of the final product.

I'd also note the DTC cards are fairly new for me in terms of creating them so I'm still working out the bugs, but I'll post my white squares-ish cards later.

Yes...very cool!!

What's even cooler is that Apac has the same boat, painted in Cobra Blue.

Since Tiger Force was based on "stolen technology", I always referenced the Tiger Orca as one of Apac's boats that was stolen and used for the Joe team :D
