My gf likes cows so I kept teasing one of these days I was going to make something with cow print. The white Storm Shadow seemed perfect and the first Slaughterhouse contest gave me the chance to show it off at the same time. I believe the original storywent along the lines that Cobra Commander wanted a new squad to protect their base in Springfield and since Springfield is a small town surrounded by farms... Mindbender decided to fuse a trooper with cow material to make a ninja who could hide in plain view. It's all a silly takeoff of the Python idea.

Weasel and Gyre thought it was pretty funny and kept encouraging me to keep at it. They both suggested Milk Force, but I thought it was a little too on the nose. The gf, who also named the original Moo Ninja, suggested Moo Force so that's what I went with.

Cobra Commander and Destro have to have a cow print version, so they were easy thoughts while being designed with the opposite color styles. Slaughterhouse is Mindbender's attempt at making an even stronger, more deadly cow ninja based on Moo Ninja. So Moo Ninja gains a slightly easier going personality like Snake Eyes might have if he could speak while Slaughterhouse is more aggressive like Storm Shadow. This isn't made clear in the mini comic as I didn't have time to shoot the preview, but Cookie Monster is Destro's new lover since he kicked Baroness' cold feet out of bed.

Mooscreen was a second try by building something more centered than the first two ninjas while also gaining a more powerful BAT body. If I remember the write-up correctly, Mindbender accidently googled "cow" instead of "samurai" so Mooscreen ended up with the personality of Max Headroom in Cow form. Milkman was based on the phrase "the postman always rings twice" because I thought it would be funny to have someone who loves to toss grenades at the enemy constantly. Flying Cow was a chance to give the team a pilot, but the Milk Mover (swear to god I saw that printed on a milk truck once) wasn't finished in time.

IRON COW was the thing that sold it, in my mind. I wanted something epic and those silly light-up raindeer are the perfect size. I had another one whose lights went dead so I used it for this project and took the new one I had bought to replace it. The internal motor still works (and the interior is cut so that the head can rise & fall) so I wrapped the cord up for now to expand upon the IRON COW project in the future. Probably in another contest if Gyre and Weasel would like to see more.

The Red and Black team cows I had been sitting on for awhile. All the gunners are different Chick-fil-a cows so it seemed funny. The smaller stocking cows fit so well into the back of a black HISS tank that I kept expanding on that original two tank idea. IF the HISS Tanks were still $15 and easy to find, I would have completely painted up the tanks. As it is, I only have a few from those days and couldn't afford to make them permanent.

Space Cow Bludd is a chance to be full freestlye Slaughtehouse because some people fussed that "cow" isn't very Slaughterhouse during the last contest. Space Oddity is a test for making a large space platform vehicle in the future to mimic the one seen in Resolute. SC Bludd is over the top in silly paint schemes as Bludd tends to be someone most don't like so it made sense to give him the one job that would put him far, far away from the others. Think Robot Chicken Star Wars: Episode II when Darth Vader keeps giving Lando more and more stupid things to wear as he keeps commenting that "this deal is getting worse all the time." Bludd just never learned to shut up when talking to Cobra Commander.


The idea behind Elephant Patrol came as a need for a team to take on Moo Force. When I concieved Moo Force, I knew exactly which animal could be silly, yet perfect to take on such a team: the Elephant. A smart animal and very tough, yet has an amusing appearance. Elephant Patrol is also the most despised team (think the Police Academy team or the one from Stripes) of the Joe subteams. There was going to be a part where Hawk asks Dial Tone if there are any teams available to save the base. The only choice is the one he doesn't want.

I read the Thread tittle....and Bleh... didn't know what to expect..... then i saw them and thought it was slightly funny....thw chik filet cows etc.... and then.... u double wammy the comic book.... that is some of the best fan written comedy i've seen.....and i have a looot of friends who are comic book writters here in PR,,,i mean.... the shots.. the captiiiooons.... it was perfect..and i so want more!!! it was INSANE
