Sorry if this has been brought up. What are you guys using to get the coating off the 25th figures? I'm not happy with the way my paint is sticking to my customs. Thanks, Mike

Warm, soapy water. Wash em real good and let em dry. Thats what I do and seems to work out all right.
By the way what kind of paints are you using?

It sounds like you're using some type of enamel paint. When I first started customizing I used the enamel model paint that you can find at Walmart and I learned real quick that's a big no-no. I use 3 brands of paint now. Testors Model Master Acrylics, Citadel Acrylics, and Tamiya Acrylics. As for a good clearcoat, I use Testors Dull Coat #1260 Flat Lacquer.

I've been using paint markers. Elmers painters and Deco Color opaque. I also have some flat paint in unmarked jars I got from Walmart. The Deco Color is acrylic it almost doesn't dry and the Elmers covers and is shinny but sometimes it looks like oil and water on the figure at first and sometimes causes me to applt too much paint to a surface. Where is the best plase to buy the paints you all use?

yes elmers paint pens as well as folkart or apple barrel acrylic paint. there are a million colors and they only cost 44 cents a bottle

Does anybody know about 40K paints? I have seen people use them & they look nice. BUT for 3.99 a bottle it's rediculous.

If you have a HobbyLobby near you they carry Testor's Model Master Acrylic Paints or you could check your local hobby store as they should carry them as well as Tamiya colors. Also some comic stores carry Citadel paints, you could check there if you have one that sells Warhammer stuff. Testors and Ctadel paints usually run me about 2.99 a bottle but its well worth it. Anyway hope this helps and good luck finding some.
