I've only been buying from the movie line. So far the only comic figure I've even considered getting is the Arctic Armor and even then only if I see it at retail and like the color enough in person. Same would go for others like comic Whiplash and Mandarin, but considering all the stores around here have ever stocked past the initial release stuff is the Hulkbuster wave.

I saw comic whiplash once at frank and sons about a month and a half ago, I don't think they would release a few in the iron man 2 package and then hold out on the rest for the new armored avenger package. I find it strange that there hasn't been retail sightings cause usually after frank and sons gets them I find them a week or two after, I hope the wave hits soon I need ult iron man

Lol. A local TRU store here found a caseload of the Terminator Salvation Hunter Killers in their stockroom LONG after the movie was at the cinema. They knew it was old stock, and put them on the shelves for £4.99.

They also had that crummy "ultimate armour" that's just a repaint of the mkiv. I didn't bother picking that up but I got the others.

My closest Walmart only had a ton of IM2 Movie Iron Man figures at the red sticker $3.00 price. I don't see them putting the Mandarin wave on pegs at this point since its not Hasbro's fault that the stores only wanted to over order the same cases that only offered one character. I saw Comic Wave 3 two times at one Walmart back here in September and that was supposed to be released in July.

It seems its a done deal 4 now unless other Targets in my area choose to carry it on throughout to the Armored Avenger 2011 toyline. I got a feeling that TJMaxx will start getting them in by February in droves....

When I worked there, Our inventory system would place some really expensive stuff down 95% like lamps, stereos, end tables and pictures and when I would question it, my supervisor would tell me if that is the price then thats what the customer pays. If it was in system for too long and never got sold I think its something that automatically happens.

Besides that, good haul on that, all of the Targets around me have zero IM2 3.75" figures somehow.

I worked there during grad school. That's a product that should have been pulled and sent to Goodwill or destroyed. They have zeroed it out. If it does not get removed and is scanned it will show two prices on the PDA's used by the floor staff - $0.00 and whatever the last clearance price was. Target is supposed to sell it to you for the last clearance price (so your store got it right). Some less then helpful cashiers just will not sell it to you - they only get a message that the price can't be found or it isn't in the system. If you ever get that and you want a product make the cashier call a manager b/c you probably are going to get that cheap 95%-75% off price.

This line was great in the beginning but the hype has dissipated. I'm going to solely concentrate on comic version figures of the Thor and Cap line. I think I learned a valuable lesson to the IM2 line. :)

They haven't had any IM2 figures since The end of November. They didn't even bother to restock right before Christmas which was really weird for a film that was a summer blockbuster. I think if anything they are making room for the 6" IM Armored Avengers line coming this Spring but as far as getting more 3.75" figures its a mystery and most unlikely at this point when they need to clear out 2010 inventory.

Hopefully those Tron: legacy toys get clearanced out soon too. At $10 and $15 a figure they aren't moving at all.

Actually the 3.75" Tron stuff is moving pretty well in my neck of the woods, has been ever since the movie came out. The -rest- of the stuff is pretty much peg/shelfwarming, but the figures and the "modern" light cycles (and light runner) do all right. Flynn's light cycle definitely shelfwarms, though.

Iron Man 2 stuff is scarce at Target, but plentiful at Wal-Marts and TRUs, and none of the retailers look to be reducing the shelf space for IM2 much. The scarcity of product on shelves is likely a by-product of stores doing inventories and post-Christmas resets.

Stores don't have any control over what waves they are sent. They order Iron Man and they get whatever Hasbro sends them. Same for all toylines that have different waves of things.

Hasbro or the stores, I don't really care who's fault it is. I've been figure collecting for years and I'm used to having to work a bit to find that one really popular figure from a wave. I was OK with that. Nothing wrong with having to put a little work into the collection. Its nothing like that now though. Distribution is so messed up for most lines there's no way to keep a collection going without over paying for stuff online.

I saw Target put out the new Deluxe armors...and nothing else, although some older comic figures seemed to be back on the pegs, after taking them down.

I really have no idea what is going on there.

TRU had the 4-packs for $18.99 one weekend in December.

Target raised the singles back to $7.99. Course they only have 5 or 6 from wave 1 on the pegs anyways.

The repainted movie version is weak - but the comic Ultimate IM is outstanding! In fact all 4 figs from the last comic wave are great - too bad they're nearly impossible to find. I managed to snag all but Mandarin - hopefully he'll turn up somewhere...

So my Target raised the figure prices to $7.99 each and restocked with movie series wave 2 revision case. Of course people are going to buy the same figures almost a year later at a more expensive price.

I want to know if anyone that works at TJ Maxx has a way of knowing whats coming to their store pretty soon. With IM2 being in stores for over 10 months I wonder if if its on its way to Marshalls /TJ Maxx for much cheaper price. I remember Wolverine Origins started showing up in TJ Maxx middle of last year so these should be on their way soon.

if you have either skullgrin or darkmont from the current transformers line on the pegs right now. both molds are the same and have removeable weapons that fit on war machine on one of his back pegs with a ball joint. they just slap right on and look good.
