NEWS!!!!! I went to the Tampa Comic and Toy Convention today and guess what I saw!!!!

A little girl had the IM2 BLACK WIDOW figure!!!
I am 95% certain of it!
It had the "biggish movie style hair" so it definitely was not the MU version.
I saw she had a few loose figures in her arms but my eyes were instantly drawn to that one in particular!
Unless there is another BW figure out there that I dont know about it had to be her.

UNFORTUNATELY... I was in my Stormtrooper costume at the time for the 501st, so I don't know which vendor she got it from and I didn't see any others (although it's hard to look at what all the vendors have when you are in costume and also with your wife and 3 children who are also costuming)

BUT... at LEAST we know they are out there!!!

P.S. I know many go by the "pics or it didn't happen rule". Believe me, I am kicking myself in the butt here for not having tried to find the vendor, or at least asked her were she got it. My apologies. But pics or not, I hope this brightens some of our spirits for being able to get this figure. I know it does mine! :)

This is really weird... I just checked ebay because, well, if a vendor at Tampa Comic & Toy Con had one, then surely someone on evilbay should right?

I dont get it. The figure had a greyish body suit, read hair that looked like the one I've seen for the new Black Widow figure. I didnt get a good look at the face, but it didnt look like the typical comic book type Marvel Universe look to it.

What else could it have been? MAN! WHY didnt I ask her father about it?!? Oh the regret!!! lol

It's going to bug me, nay, haunt me for the rest of my days... or at least until I get a BW in hand someday. lol

They haven't hit widespread retail yet, but I think they will hit in the next few weeks. Blackman2005's source said they will be put out at Wal*Mart after the 17th.

i honestly dont know what the problem is everyone knows toy collections come in waves and they are often months apart, and yet we still whine and piss about not seeing the figures, given, some stores are slower but its all about demand. One Walmart near me just got the IronMonger wave, so now I know to keep an eye out there for drones next. Stop letting the distribution run your lives guys, figure out the patterns. I always check the other sighting forums. I tracked the POC Recondo, J-Viper wave all across the states, and went out once and wha-lah! Maybe Im just lucky but Im tired of wasting the gas. Not trying to be an ass either, just offer some clues :)

Oops... posted this in the wrong thread at first. Hehe.

Hmmm... for some reason I thought the unmasked WM would have a flip up visor with a Don Cheadle face instead of the whole head. Is this one gonna come with an alt regular WM head too? I don't have a regular movie WM yet, so I was hoping I could just get this set because I think this one comes with the missile pod unlike the single card release.

IIRC, it's two heads. One is the helmet, the other is the actor head.

Yah, I saw that one... at first I thought that camo WM was cool, but then the camo seemed too light for me when I saw it in person, plus the shiny silver parts clash with the camo IMO. So basically I would have been paying $20+ for just the missile pod. LOL. Might as well just wait for the Black Widow set since I don't have a regular IM either.

I WAS right. The so called "glossy-repaint" is the light-up War Machine. You could tell by the absence of paint on the arc.

That quick change Mk.4-6 looks pretty lame. I don't understand the giant blue glow and if you use the Mk.4 chestplate then you have a incorrectly colored Mk.4.

Hammer Test Drone is awesome, of course.

I might have to buy the new Mk.5 for the movie accurate suit case.

Purple Velocity looks meh, and so does the Deep Dive repaint.

I don't think I care for the deluxe War Machine. Too much going on there. The Blue and gray is really cool, and the silver and red one is too but that one is also a deluxe armor.

I did the unthinkable today.I passed up a gold mine of Drones at a Kohls the display was in girls clothes so no one must have noticed it.I just couldn't justify getting them at $10 a piece after I just picked up some $9 Cobra Stingers at TRU Express next door.Some grandmothers are gonna buy these for there grandkids for Christmas and the kid is going to look at it and be like "Its not Iron Man" and chuck it in the trash :(

I actually saw the 6" sunglasses Tony Stark IM at my Walmart on the weekend and when I went back today they were all gone... still tons of the 6" Suitcase Armor IM though. Kind of surprised they all got bought up actually. Hopefully when they restock the 6" War Machine I will actually see it on the pegs this time around. LOL.

Yeah, I just found one surviving set at Target too yesterday. I was wondering why the set seems to have disappeared the last few weeks at most Targets, I guess they wanted it out of the way right away to make room for the Black Widow set.

I picked up an Omega Factor War Machine and Comic Mk.1 yesterday.

Comic Mk.1 is really nice, I love the rustic wash they put on him.

Omega Factor is WOW. This is by far my favorite figure in the line. Great detail and not many paint problems. That first K-Mart 3-packs had a lot of win going on.

Now that I have like 30 armors, I think this line is starting to loose it's luster with me. I don't think anything can top Omega Factor war Machine. The money I was saving for all the repaint waves is starting to spill into Star Wars again...

I spent months scouring the shelves when WALL-E toys came out, looking for the AUTO figure(The autopilot "wheel").
Never found one. They were selling on Ebay for $80 because they were rare(And i refuse to pay that for a toy).
Found one today, marked down to 99p in a store.

Those are probably scalper repacks.....but good find all the same. I got one similiar last year. I found a ROTF Bruticus in the ROTF Superion box! it was loose and rattling around but all the parts and instructions were there so I bought it, now he's upgraded with the FansProject set. Love good repacks!

Basically, yeah, they are the same suit. Keep in mind that like all Iron Man suits, Tin man went through several "revisions" depending on who is designing the figure and which reference is used as all artists kind of put their own stamp on the suit.

A little research showed me to be a bit off on them, actually. There was an "in between" suit called the "Pentagon" suit which bridges the overly teched out Tin Man and the very sleek Extremis.

The Iron Man 2 figure "Advanced Armor" takes cues from both Tin Man and Pentagon, with the old MU Iron Man being more of the "Pentagon" suit (which is the comic pic from your post).

Granted, given artistic interpretation, Iron Man really hasn't had a significant armor change since Pentagon until the recent Bleeding Edge suit (which I don't see lasting all that long)

Hi, I'm new to this thread and thought this might interest fans of Iron man 2. I managed to get the Black Widow 3 3/4 figure And ... I have made the very first ever CUSTOM Scarlett Johanson 3 3/4 figure of the Black Widow from Iron Man 2!! Considering this is my first custom figure of this size - I think she looks 10 times more attractive than she did before, and she looks pretty accurate to the movie version - which is the best version to me. (Wish they had GI Joe figures of girls that looked this hot when i was young, but they sure as hell didn't) So ... I repainted the costume to match the movie, Glued on her gun Holster and painted it around her leg , and added her silver gun in it, gave her cleavage, and changed out her face with a more attractive Black widow original face - then repainted to match Scarlett's face and her curly reddish hair. So Please Let me know what you think of her:) Thanks guys:) The first picture is what she looked like before - and I didn't like it. Oh, and her feet really are not that freaking big like the first picture suggests they do guys -so don't worry there small and accurate to the movie version When holding her in hand!:) The Last Picture is also a custom revamped version I did of my 1/6 scale of Scarlett Johanson as the Black Widow Hot Toys 12" figure. What can i say, I love my iron man 2 redhead :) LOL

I heard the same and started scratching my head, why produce more movie inspired figures at this point? The Comic Wave Figures sell through much better and have a wider array of characters that can be introduced. I guess its what retailers are demanding but the movie figures are the factor that is contributing to things being delayed right now. When the prices go up to $7.99 each next year who would want to buy those movie inspired figures when movie and concept figures are not moving right now at $5?

Hi, I'm new to this thread and thought this might interest fans of Iron man 2. I managed to get the Black Widow 3 3/4 figure And ... I have made the very first ever CUSTOM Scarlett Johanson 3 3/4 figure of the Black Widow from Iron Man 2!! Considering this is my first custom figure of this size - I think she looks 10 times more attractive than she did before, and she looks pretty accurate to the movie version - which is the best version to me. (Wish they had GI Joe figures of girls that looked this hot when i was young, but they sure as hell didn't) So ... I repainted the costume to match the movie, Glued on her gun Holster and painted it around her leg , and added her silver gun in it, gave her cleavage, and changed out her face with a more attractive Black widow original face - then repainted to match Scarlett's face and her curly reddish hair. So Please Let me know what you think of her:) Thanks guys:) The first picture is what she looked like before - and I didn't like it. Oh, and her feet really are not that freaking big like the first picture suggests they do guys -so don't worry there small and accurate to the movie version When holding her in hand!:) The Last Picture is also a custom revamped version I did of my 1/6 scale of Scarlett Johanson as the Black Widow Hot Toys 12" figure. Thanks MeLikeJinx for the feedback, I just was like everyone else when that first picture came out of her, I mean why girl action figures always don't match there prototypes is getting annoying so i did something about it this time LOL

I found a random Movie Monger at Wal*Mart among the full pegs of wave 1 stuff. It's a real great figure.

Too bad there was nothing else new. Even the 10 Target 3-packs were still $20. I was pretty confident about the next waves coming, but I'm a little scared now.
