New!! Slaughterhouse Gyre-Weasel $1000 Customizng Challenge Contest

Ok guys, we loved the last contest so much that we are doing it again. Gyre-Viper has lost his mind and gone all out on prizes.

1 Complete Terro-Drome
$200 credit for Tri-Gate Customs
$200 worth of Broken Arrow parts, selected by Aloysha himself
2 MIB Wave 5 Stinger lot.
5 Defense of Cobra Island Alley-Vipers
2 ROC Desert Vipers

If only a few people are up to the challenge then this will be one mega prize. If we get at least 10 then we will split it up into a Cobra Force Prize and Customizing Parts Prize. If more show up then we will need more prizes I guess.

So how do you win? Well you submit entries in the following themes. We ask that you submit under each theme before submitting a second theme entry. All entries must contain Joe/Cobra parts from any era. Feel free to combine eras. Entries in the 'slaughterhouse style' will earn extra bonus points. Customs from previous contests can be included in the dio and subteam themes. Gyre and I will weigh each customizers entries and our top picks will be put to a poll.

Here are the themes:

1)It's halloween, make a custom in a costume. Duke as Baroness? Storm Shadow as Godzilla? C-3PO as a Viper? The possibilities are endless.

2)Create a diorama or battlescene where your least favorite/most hated character meets their demise. Saw-Viper gunning down QuickKick or perhaps a herd of llamas chasing Sneak-Peek into a garbage disposal. Have fun

3) Create a new subteam. May it be something as accidentley awesome as Black Regime or out of this world as Glitter Force. No set number for members, but the more the merrier (or more points you will get)

4)Freestyle, show us your best slaughterhouse style figure, or a serious form of a previous slaughterhouse entry. We will only count freestyle submissions from customizers with entries in the other categories.

The deadline will be 12/5. We are giving a bit extra time to allow plenty of entries under all the themes.

One final note, judging may be extended if Gyres (moving) or my (expecting twins) personal life gets in the way of our judging duties.

as you might have guessed these aren't all the prizes... hence the $1,000 price tag. well... like Weasel said... the more contestants... the more prizes... however... the deciding as per who gets what prize really rests in the subconscious of the customizers... what you come up with will essentially shape the prize granting outcome of this particular contest.

tri-gate and alyosha have already confirmed with me as per the
customizer-friendly prizes.

it didn't occur to me last time to incorporate 'customizer' prizes.
in fact... only a psychotic would pull apart the Yellow Stalker (from
the previous contest) to use for parts.... Doc... I'm looking at you.

at the same time... there's people out there who are also trying to
complete their collection or who can't afford a TerrorDrome.
The stingers and alley-vipers are obviously on most people's
army-building list... and I figure most people would just make
fodder out of the Desert Vipers.

Oops, lost my first post and see I omitted the deadline on my second posting. The timeline for this is 2 months. We want to see lots of entries and give peole plenty of time to compete in each of the themes.

To clarify on the themes. Say you want to enter just a halloween character. This is ok. We just ask that you also enter the dio theme and the sub team theme before you enter the halloween theme. Of course all 3 can be halloween them (a costume party and Zombie Patrol for example).

The freestyle theme is optional.

Repainting is ok. You can be an amazing artist, or look like the figure got dropped in a paintpot (i.e. Slaughterhouse style, look it up lol). This is about fun for everyone on the tank.

You are ok to enter 1 custom (well 1 of the themes). You will have a better shot at being picked for the grand prize poll if you have multiple entries.

There is no minimum. You can created just one custom to show off your sub-group. However the teams with more members will be graded higher.

like for example... we're not sure Glitter Force (circa last contest) really counted as Slaughterhouse... INSPIRED by maybe... but if you've ever talked to the Slaughterhouse people they are VERY serious. Just to clarify about hte diorama/battlescene. the background/backdrop does not have to be a perfect in scale likeness of a realistic location. A coffee table, a few books and the family cat can also work out quite well.

Had a PM conference with Alyosha (not really a conference but doesn't that sound fancy and delightful?) anyways.... talked to Alyosha... and Alyosha
had an amazing idea... something I didn't consider... Alyosha is currently in the process of using my Unreleased modern era Iron Klaw, Resolute Scarlett,
and that 'ninja/storm shadow/dice/slice/SE dojo whatever unreleased' head
prototypes to make parts for Broken Arrow to sell.... now the Iron Klaw,
despite some criticism, garnered some pretty serious interest from you tankers... SOOO Alyosha suggested that part of the Broken Arrow prize include the Iron Klaw, the Resolute Scarlett head, and the unreleased ninja head... as part of his lot for a prize. I have also asked him to include the popular 'cartoon ninja' head...aka Resolute SE... and those goggles some of us use for our Resolute Troopers. Obviously there will be more in the lot...
but Alyosha's idea to include the Iron Klaw, etc unreleased sculpt project
is pretty exciting!!! anyways...
that's what's what as of this moment.

alright here is part 2, a dio of everyone's favorites to hate. I am one of the few who like cobra-la, but i am drinking the kool aid of hating on battle force 2000. So i figure it went something like this. >dedleloo...dedleloo...< "hey battle force, your mission is in the Himalyas, bring that splitting tank and investigate.". So Doudger, Mavrick, Alalanche, and Knockdown (yeah, i cannot find my other bf2000 members. they must have melted years ago somehow.....)
head out, dreaming of becoming accepted. Since they missed the (toon) movie battle a while back they run into ol' snake tail's nest pond...drove right into the sucker. Needless to say the guard came out quick, along with Nemesis. Golobolis finally comes into watch and, well, pretty much laugh. Not gory, I'd rather leave all that to the imagination. I was gong for the universal "oh crap" moment of dropped hope. well except for the bad guys. have fun! COBRA!

Bio: Julian is an individual suffering from delusions of grandeur. ok so... slight snag... I'm currently in an ebay dispute about the terror drome. I ordered it WAAAY before even thinking of including it in this contest. the dude hasn't sent it... provided a false tracking number to
pay pal (which made me escalate the claim even higher)...

get one OR if you'd prefer $$$ (since I'm gonna get my money back OR the terror drome either way).

Ouch. I had that problem two years ago when I had this small window where I could afford a TD. The seller eBay'd it three times and I was winner number 2. Sea Serpents.
Cobra Pirates.

Each team is made up of 4 to 6 Cobra sea veterans , usually Lampreys and Eeels, who have extensive fast attack experience.

Sea Serpent teams are out fitted with Moray Hydrofoils or Small light PBR boats and a lot of firepower, they use their cunning and sharp wits to rip off anything floating, even other Pirates!

Capt. Typhon.
A brutal pirate , its claimed by some that he cant die , and has been reported by Joe's to have been seen fighting with a spearfishing spear through his neck.
Typhon is easily recognized by his sea serpent Tattoos.

Here is my entry: Titled "The BAT Assasination Attempt".The background is this: There have been numerous assasination attempts against Cobra Commander... These are pics of one attempt that CC dismisses as a failure, but one which killed a lot of Cobra personell. The Arashikage ninja clan had secretly infiltrated a BAT manufacturing plant and placed a deadly trojan program into the system, affecting countless numbers of bats. The trojan program turned the BAT into a relentless assasin programmed to hunt down and murder CC, Destro, and Baroness, and the program would be triggered totally at random. This BAT was triggered and went on the rampage, killing any Cobras that got in its' way. CC escaped, as usual, but 23 others didn't... like the Televiper that got his head driven into a computer screen... The Cobra Officer who got his spine broken and internal organs crushed by a heavy seat... And the Black Dragon ninja who had both arms torn out of their sockets. The Baroness barely escaped being wrung out like a wet rag; She fired her handgun again and again at point blank range into its' chest, and shorted out its' mechanism with her last bullet. But she still wound up with a broken leg and two dislocated shoulders. After that, Cobra had all of its BATs virus scanned... and discovered 40 per cent of all its Bats were infected with the trojan program. Even worse, when they tried to remove or erase the program, the program triggered and turned the Bat into a killing machine that hunted down Cobras. The infected Bats were destroyed, and now all BATs that leave their factories are intensively virus-scanned before they are shipped out... but still... Trojan programs are designed to be difficult to find.
