You can do whatever faction/sub group in the Joe mythos that you want but you have to choose a side and it has to be an original character.

You can post them wherever you want when the voting is over and the top 3 for Phase 1 have been announced. It's supposed to be all secret hush-hush cloak and dagger like until then.

I think it's pretty darn cool to see all the entries revealed at once.

If you've posted it at all anywhere on any website before the voting has ended and the top 3 are announced, it isn't eligible for the contest. The idea is to create something completely new within the 4 week build period.

Not at all. You have until 10/29 (12 AM EST) to finish your new recruit custom and then 10/31 (12 AM EST) to get it submitted.

If you miss the 10/31 submission deadline it will be to late to join Phase 1.

You can still enter Phase 2 and 3 whether or not you enter Phase 1.

Not a dumb question, SN = Serial Number, it's not really necessary to have one.

If you want, you can make the SN (or any of the other fields) 'N/A' or 'Classified'.

I used a code for Monsoon's SN.

It has to be an original character. You can have them be whatever you want, they just need to be a unique character. Linus the Laser Trooper or Larry the Laundry Viper would work.

Just take the new troop and make them into a new character.

I'd say you've got it.

You can use a couple (small) props if they showcase the figure. However, the custom should still remain the focus.

I tried to make it so there's a ton of options for vehicles. Creativity is the key.

The New Recruits must be able to start with the vehicle, acquire the vehicle, or be attacked by the vehicle during The Mission.


You can make a Joe or Cobra vehicle that 1 of the 3 recruits:

could aleady have access to when they start the mission.
will acquire for their own use during the mission.
will have to defend themselves against it at some point during the mission.

Also:

This is a 3 phase custom contest. You are allowed to enter 1 custom in each phase. You may enter any and all phases.

You pick the phases that you want to enter. Even if you didn't participate in phase 1, you can still enter phase 2 and phase 3. Or you can skip phase 1 and phase 2 but enter phase 3. Not all customizers customize figures and vehicles so its not mandatory to enter each phase.

original as per the individual you make it for one ...ala of the three recruits
but can be a pre-existing vehicle customized just make sure you specify which one it goes to this help?

You can make a Joe or Cobra vehicle that 1 of the 3 recruits:

could already have access to when they start the mission.
will acquire for their own use during the mission.
will have to defend themselves against it at some point during the mission.
I didn't say that it had to be a military vehicle either, it just has to be Joe or Cobra...

Step 1: Choose Joe or Cobra
Step 2: Choose a New Recruit (Cane, Spectre, or Top Shelf) for your vehicle to be used with.
Step 3: Choose one of the following:

A) New Recruit starts with the vehicle
B) New Recruit will find the vehicle
C) New Recruit will be attacked by the vehicle.
The idea was to make an original vehicle that hasn't been seen (or posted) before based on Steps 1-3.

I have something that should be ready in time. I started on it when I began the vehicle. Playset just happened to be in a better spot so it didn't get messed up.

i wouddnt see why not an example you could enlarge and print the vehicle and put it in the background as so with the new recruit like gunfighter77 did with his entry anyways i plan on doing this to so its not so obvious that its mine this go around

Yes, like Tank said, you can do what gunfighter77 did with the paper cutouts if you want (I thought he photoshopped them at first :/) or add whatever figures/vehicles you want to it, but it's not mandatory.

I wanted to involve as many different customizers on Hisstank as possible (figure, vehicle, and dio) in a single themed custom contest. Just wait until Phase 3 ends, that's when everyone on Hisstank will have a chance to become part of The Mission:Code Breaker.

Yes, but make sure to keep the emphasis on the diorama, play-set, or environment. It really only needs to be a location, a kind of 'playground', where the Recruits and Vehicles would be found at some point during The Mission. But hey, if Cane shows up at the Joes cafeteria during lunch in the Sand Devil, you'll need a lot of troops :)

I don't know if this would be considered a custom but I customized the Hovercraft from the Corps line and removed the stickers and got some Devilfish decals from Cobrastickers.com.
