I hated how the wave 8 CP Shockwave didn't come with his knife or BP and how the RoC NF Shockwave didn't come with the BP. It would have been cool if they had the trademark gun, but Shockwave has 2 guns from Marauder and NF Shockwave has a modified SE uzi w/ a Marauder silencer and the long gun he came with.

At any rate, I bought 2 original backpacks and another original knife on eBay. I had to trim the pegs to fit. One I trimmed too much so I had to use the pen ink tube trick. I also painted one of the backpacks black w/ one of these:

Elmers.com - School Glues, Art Supplies, and other adhesives for every use. (http://www.elmers.com/crafters/product_detail.asp?pCode=7327)

I don't do a lot of customs and/or painting so it was the easiest solution for me. It dries well, but requires a couple coats/touch-ups on this type of plastic. The backpacks sit a little high, but whatever. He's complete now to me. Pics are attached.

oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I trimmed the upper arms near the elbows w/ an X-acto knife so they could 2-hand guns better.

I need that NF Shockwave. NEED it.

I actually sold my original NF Shockwave on ebay for 25 bucks awhile back. I was so glad to see this figure though. I love love love Shockwave and I used him as a Cobra back then.

I'll go as far to say that despite the backpack issue, this is one of the best figures this year.

Hey Fast Draw,

How does that paint hold up after drying?

I have used the Sharpie water based acrylic poster paint markers and them seem to start carcking and flaking off after awhile. I was wondering how these Elmer's markers would hold up after time?

Can you handle the customs without ruining the paint?

The first thing I used it on was the shoulder pads on RoC Flash's armor. I scraped off the RoC logo and the gray paint came off, too. I painted both shoulder pads black a couple days ago and it seems dry enough. Nothing has come off when I touch it. The same kind of deal with the BP so far. Then again, they're both items that aren't going to be getting any type of rough handling so I'm not sure how well it would hold up under those circumstances. It seems fine for small things though. It does need to dry for a while after you paint. It will come off then if you touch it.
