I'm not sure if this is 100% official but the EA C&C website will be announcing something big on Valentine's day. No one knows what but this recent image of April's issue of PC Gamer leaves a strong suggestion.
Now THIS is the kind of game I wish EA would make for G.I. Joe, and hopefully I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

While I love those games too, I hope GI Joe isn't made into that...unless they are making more than one game.
You need to have snake eyes jumping from wall to wall like spidey killing cobras in order for it to sell. I mean that's why EA wants the license.
My ideal game would play like Metal Gear Solid but you'd be given 4 characters to switch from. Kind of like the original.

As it's the April issue I hope it's legit.
That being said BRING IT!!!!!!

More info is starting to trickle down as well as some concept art which you can see here http://www.cncnz.com/. One of the more interesting facts I've learned is that, like Tiberium Wars, Red Alert 3 will have 3 factions as opposed to 2. So for this installment players will be able to choose between the Allies, Soviets and . . . Japan?! WTF(

This is great! I hope they bring back the Death Blimps.

The Kirovs. If you check out the concept artwork I think you'll be pleasently surprised.

I used to scare people with those and the UFOs. Just the massive armadas I would send.
If they do as good a job on this as they did with C&C3 then I can forgive Generals.

The official website for Red Alert 3 went up today with more info on the game's development as well as some very exciting news. Apparently for those of you out there who plan on getting Command & Cqonuer 3: Kane's Wrath next month (like myself) will have the opportunity to participate in a Red Alert 3 Beta later this fall. You can find the official site here Red Alert 3 (http://www.ea.com/redalert/main.jsp) and more detailed info on how to join in on the RA3 Beta here RA 3 Beta FAQ (http://www.commandandconquer.com/intel/default.aspx?id=106#NewsMain).
The story for this latest chapter in the Red Alert universe is pretty interesting as well. The short and sweet of it is -
"The Soviets are back at it once again to fight with the Allies and conquer the good ole USA in the strange and twisted Red Alert universe. But after the Soviets activate a Time Machine, looking to return to power, things go wrong when a new super power rises from the ashes, the Empire of the Rising Sun (Japan)!"

CnC is one one my favorites games. To see a GIJOE RTS would be aweosme. I'm sure when the movie comes out we will see few diff. GI Joe games.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is this "RTS" you speak of? I assume "real time" something? Strategy? I mostly play Nintendo's systems, some I'm not familiar with this sort of game.

Yep, it stands for Real Time Strategy.
The scene shots for this look amazing. I was close to picking up the big box of all C&C games the other day since I only owned three of the games and misplaced them.
The only problem I ever have with C&C is I get to an "inside base" level that I never can beat. To this day I haven't beaten a C&C. The time spent in skirmishes more than makes up for that though.

Yes the official trailer debuted on GameTrailersTV last Friday which can be seen on their website, but there is also an EXTENDED trailer with a few more in game scenes that can be seen here cncnz.com (http://www.cncnz.com/).
Also there's a new preview with a load of new screenshots on Gamespot.com (Article (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/redalert3/news.html?sid=6191239)) as well as a new interview with two of the developers.
You can see even more in game screenshots here (http://cnc3.cc/index.php?pid=53).
On the subject of the game's live action cutscenes news has leaked that one of the "American Gladiators", Gina Carano, is going to play the Soviet Commando Natasha (Crush (http: //youtube.com/watch?v=ujeXXrtQclY&feature=related)).
Definitely looking forward to this latest C&C installment, and from what I've heard it'll be out in either the Fall or Holiday season this year. But for those of you worried that your PC won't be able to run this just remember it'll be available on the XBOX 360 and PS3 as well.

A new video about actual game-play was released yesterday and can be seen here on IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/876/876905p1.html).
Also there'll be a new episode of 'Battlecast Primetime' on the official EA Command & Conquer website this Friday, which will feature a preview and behind the scenes look at the Red Alert 3 cinematics as well as an interview with one of the actresses.

Thanks for the link. I didn't catch this on IGN when I was on earlier. I'm sort of torn on the amphibious units. I'm sure it will make online skirmishes a lot more interesting though when playing on a map that has water throughout the map and not just at the bottom.
Gina Carano being in the game is good stuff. I first saw her on some MMA event on Showtime and then a few weeks / months later I started watching Gladiators and was shocked that there was a gladiator that I saw before.
I didn't even think about not being able to run this on my box. So far I've never run into that issue since I really only play RTS on my PC. I haven't played an RTS on a console since I had the PS1 mouse for C&C: Red Alert.

Ok, I have a quick question.
I downloaded Generals + Zero Hour awhile back. It was an ISO file. Anyways, the more and more I played it, the more problems I had. Like random crashes and the like. It would happen on some stages/maps pretty much ALL the time. It was quite annoying.
I recently bought Generals Deluxe(comes with Zero Hour) for cheap and installed it today. WHAT the HELL did they do to the Aurora Alpha? That jet is totally worthless now(at least compared to what it was). You might as well have a regular Aurora. It has this big concussion blast effect after you drop the bomb, but it doesn't do anything.
Why did they do this?! Oh, and what happened to Death Valley stage/map? That was THE level that crashed all the time, and I wanted to play it now that I have the actual discs....but it wasn't even in the game. WTF.
And yes, I know....Generals doesn't have a lot of fans out there, but I am one of them. I like it.

Not always a good thing.
Lets hope that when that happens it will actually go to a decent developer.

I loved Generals. It wasnt bad at all. Somehow after looking at RA3, I am not liking it. Looks more goofy than usual. I liked RA2 dont get me wrong but the weapons looks funky wierd. I will skip on this.

I used to play Generals all the time. I had a blast in multiplayer LAN with 3-4 of my friends. China was my favorite faction. Those huge tanks they had kicked butt. I dont remember having any issues with the game at all. Do u have Vista as your OS?
BTW are there any Starcraft 2 fans in this thread? Its going to be a good year for RTS fans.

Can anyone help me with my last post? Was their a change to the Aurora Alphas and how do I fix it?
Edit: Hey, Kalibus. Didn't see your post before I posted. My OS is XP. Something that has never happened to me before on the ISO file nor the real version I just got, just happened last night. It crashed saying something went wrong with a DAT file. And I couldn't open the game after that. Restarting the comp might help, but I haven't done that yet.

I hated C&C Generals it was one of the worst RTS games I ever played.
Back to Red Alert 3, the official website for the game RA3 (http://www.ea.com/redalert/index.jsp), has been updated with profiles on some of the new units for the different factions and will continue to be updated until release of the game. Also for those of you who signed up for the beta, it was announced in the latest Battlecast Primetime that EA is aiming late July.

Gamespot has a trailer up which features the new faction in Red Alert 3, the Empire of the Rising Sun. This new faction is looking very cool, and fellow Anime fans will get a kick out of how many of this faction's units are based off different Anime series/movies.
You can check it out at Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/redalert3/news.html?sid=6193661) and EA is supposed to show off even more from Red Alert 3 at this week's E3 conference in LA.
