I passed on the Trooper because there wasn't an exclusive, and shipping from Sideshow is very expensive to Canada.

I'll pick him up in a trade or on Ebay down the road I guess.

I received my Cobra Trooper from UK seller PLAY.COM yesterday. Very cool he is too, and I actually prefer him to my COBRA COMMANDER (I'm not getting the Joes)

The detailing on his AK74 (?) is amazing, and the ammount of gear he has is useful without being over the top. Nice little Glock too, although it doesn't fit in his holster too well.

My only gripe is the face mask. I don't like the combination of moulded & material mask. Why not give him a bare head mould and a cloth baraclava?
Oh, and the mag keeps dropping out his rifle!

Interesting, didn't all the early pics show a moulded face? Perhaps they got enough complaints so they just added the cloth one over it.

The figure also comes with two grenades for the launcher that's affixed to the AK74. It would have been so cool is Sideshow had put two little loops on the left sleeve so they could be slotted in there (like on original '82/'83 figure)

got mine this am.. was like xmas waking up and finding the package my GF left for me. i only opened the box to inspect it but i havent taken the plastic off yet. looks pretty awesome and i cant wait to have a space for him.. for now he has to sit in the box that he came in.

I'm not sure if I'll pick this guy up or not. He just looks less than great in the pics I've seen. But then, I've got Cobra Commander and will get Storm Shadow, Firefly, and Zartan (if/when he is made), and Cobra needs its troops. . .

I've picked up mine last week.

Only I didn't buy it directly via Sideshow. I bought it through a dutch retailer who had lots of them shipped in. Amazingly I got it faster then via the official site

i like the molded face.. wasnt to happy about painting the face mask on tho i was hoping to get a full face.. but you can pull the cloth up to hide the painted face

The molded/cloth face mask doesn't bother me a bit, to be quite honest. I'll have to pick one of these up at some point soon... already got a place set aside for one...
