Yesterday I got a Cobra Officer and Cobra Trooper from Walmart. It was cool because I'd only gotten these from BBTS and ebay so far, never having actually seen them at retail ever (I'll spare you the rant on distribution).

However, you're thinking, "big f#$%ing deal" this guy got two figures... but the best part?..... I didn't go to walmart. My wife did, and she bought me Cobras. snifff... I get all weepy just thinking about it.

The Officer was perfect, but the trooper box was pretty rough and the bubble was starting to separate, yet I think it's my favorite single figure so far. I know many of us have spouses with various degrees of tolerance for our Joe collecting disease, but out of the blue, she. bought. me. Cobras.... It's the little things in life my friends :)

I'd say you've got a keeper.

The closest I've come with my wife is on our last trip to Wal-mart for groceries. I found waves 4 & 5 so I grabbed a couple figures and put them in the cart. When we got home and she was going over her receipt she asked "what is GI Crimson?" I told her they were Joes and she replied "ok" and went about her business.

If you knew my wife, you'd know that was a breakthrough.

This is most excellent.

I too have an amazing wife who supports this crazy addiction called joe-collectionism. My wife not only has an amazing body which I get to play with nightly, she also is an amazing mother to our 2 awesome kids. And it doesn't hurt that she's an accountant either ;-)

She picks up 25th anniversary joes regularly for my son and I. Sometimes multiples for army building.

We are truly blessed. Enjoy!

Does she have a cute, single sister?

My wife will take some work. I'm just lucky this hobby is on the cheap side. Compared to my brothers and dad who golf and hunt it up...

I would say you are pretty lucky to find a girl who understands what joes mean to you. My wife is coming along, slowly, but she is starting to understand...

My wife bought me 3 comic packs, a sigma 6 SS, and the TRU exclusive Sigma 6 3 pack for our anniversary; plus, various other figures just because she knows they make me happy...got to love her!

Yeah, if you actually have someone that buys figures for you out of the blue.. I don't think there is any better.

Congrats on the score, btw.

My wife did offer to pick up a Cobra Legions set mentioning she "saw it, and it looked pretty cool. I didn't know if you had it already or not; I almost bought it for you."
I need to remind her next time she goes shopping for our baby's stuff.
When I go home for mid-tour leave she'll probably look at me all crazy after my first run through retail stores and I walk in the door with bags full of the figures I've missed out on.
