I found one of these on Ebay with a BIN of $8.00 shipping $3.75, is it worth buying at that price?

Is it worth it to you? That's all that matters ;)
I haven't been able to find one at retail...so is it worth $12 to me to see my Cobra Jet Pack Trooper "flying" with fire comin' out of his jetpack? Oh heck yeah.
So, Bvance, as a friend, I ask you this:
Is it worth it to you? If so, you better go get it before find this auction you speak of and um...yeah, beat you to it :D
Oh, btw, moving this to the eBay thread. ;)

C.I.A.D. I took your advice and bought it. I thought it was a decent price just wanted see what others thought. I also found an auction listing too for MOC. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=300195552421&_trksid=p3984.cWAT.m240.lVI

There is no way I'd pay 12 bucks for that thing.

I think it was a good buy. I plan on doing some casting of the flames, not for sale just for me. If it works out I'll have flames for Air Trooper, and Duke.

And as has been said, that's all that matters. But I wouldn't. Perhaps that has something to do with owning one that I got with the Boba Fett with which it came, but I woldn't have paid 12 bucks for it.
And this isn't directed at you, but it's the same mentality that I believe will get people to buy the comic packs that are the same characters with a few paint changes and an accessory box, and it's still going to bring 10 to 12 bucks out of people's pockets.

Guys, head on over to rebelscum.com
I've gotten 2 for $6 in one deal, and 2 for a Snowtrooper in another.

I would buy the Fett if I had no other option. But since I have the superior VOTC now it doesn't really matter.
I only get the comic packs for the reprints cause I never had any of the comics.

There's even a better Boba Fett than the VOTC one, coming out in a 3-pack Evolution set.

Indeed, I love my VOTC figures. They look great on my wall. However, I'm disappointed that the articulation and clamshell was a reason to price them at 12 bucks a pop. (while the Joes are going for $4.88 on vintage cards and multiple points of articulation) I was mad to hear that the line isn't going on (or is it? I've not been able to find any news on it) but I've been getting custom cards made up for other figures. I've got a VOTC TIE Fighter Pilot, Death Squad Commando and Emperor Palpatine in my collection now; next up is the Jawa and R5-D4. And I'll get the rest made as soon as descent sculpts of each vintage figure is made.
12 bucks for a reprint comic is still steep.

that looks alot better then Fetts
What figures did these flame bases come with? I picked up the Grand Slam/Starduster two pack on Ebay and it adds one hell of an element to these figures and I would like a few more of the bases.

My flames came from R2-D2. I have never seen Fett's flames.

Some members like the spread out look. I much rather have the flames shoot straight out the exhaust nozzles.

Fetts are the same as the Starduster exclusive
