In real life, I work as an editor on DRIVEN, a Canadian men's general interest magazine (a bit like a small scale Esquire, you might say).

In our latest issue we ran this on our "Look" page (p 18):

DRIVEN Magazine | GEAR2 (http://www.drivenmag.com/gear2)

(You can zoom in for detail on that page)

I had nothing to do with concept or execution. Our fashion director had Joes as a kid, and came up with this concept as a platform for showing a bunch of camping gear. Our creative director--who otherwise couldn't care less about the toys, as far as I know--put it together.

I think the page is the bomb. I'm pretty sure you'll all get a kick out of it too.

For anyone interested, you can see reviews of all the "accessories" (camping gear) here:

DRIVEN Magazine | GEAR (http://www.drivenmag.com/gear)

Anyway, thanks for letting me indulge in a little self(ish) promotion.

Thanks! I've been trying to figure out how many of our regular readers will recognize the design.

I think the model and photographer both did a great job getting the dynamism contrast between the image on the package and the actual figure

Not to be too on-the-nose, but thanks for the attention.

I dig these boards, although I mostly lurk, so it's nice to have a little something to offer back.
