4 months was way too long to not get any customs done and what sucks is I hate working on them in the sticky humid summer months so let's see what I can get done in the month of May and we'll see where I go from there.

Where did lowlight's weapons come from?

One was from a Spy Troops Tunnel Rat I believe, the other is RoC Gen. Hawks with some mod parts from Marauder. Need to add a bipod to the larger of the two tonight.

Keep your eyes peeled, Lowlight should debut between weekend to earl next week.

I started painting that Duke figure above there. I think I need to redo the head to gain more control around the hairline, no biggy. I think he'll turn out well and then I plan on an alternate long sleeve shirt torso in the too.

I'm glad to see that you disassemble the figures to paint them, I'm surprised at how many people don't do it and then complain about paint rubbing off or not getting in the joints, lol.

That is Polly Scale (Testors Acrylic) German Light Olive. Bought awhile back and wasn't sure I would use and then decide to try it here and really like it. I want to see what their Med Olive might be like now too.

Yeah. Except for the Flint and Duke customs being built over the RoC Gen. Hawk which I am keeping black, I crack the torso and all. Cover Girl is just laying together. I won't glue her up until the color is sealed.

A little too hot and humid here to paint tonight so I played around with some fodder and found a recipe I like for a custom Rock & Roll. Slightly Resolute inspired, but I am trying not to build in that U in favor of my own.

Correct. And, I was torn to using it here, because if the collar and upper chest portions are cut out it would be perfect for Resolute Flint. I just want to buy another Flash for the armor.

That's where he's going, frontline. I have a grenade belt and rifle for him yet too. A quicky as well using the Res trooper. Just paint touch ups and clean work to come.

I keep telling my friends the customizing seems to be more a cool weather hobby and not for this heat so I either need an indoor climate controlled space or a cooler day to seal the few I have completed. Apt. living just doesn't suit itself to spraying paint.

I understand. I'm from Mississippi - I paint in the Air Conditioning. I may very well be the only who really wants to see him, but my enthusiasm is strong enough for a leat 4 or 5 Tankers. And that should count for something.

That's the standard Defense 7-Pack Range Viper with 5-Pack SE arms. All I did in the pic was tweak the colors in photoshop as a guide for where I am going so if you snag the helmet at least you know you can go any color you want and knowing you skills, that wouldn't be a problem.

It's all the standard SE/Stalker body, minus the lower legs being from Clutch. Vest is from CP Firefly and the belt I have is from the Hiss Tank Driver. RoC Shipwreck head, still waiting for a blonde dye job on the beard when I mix the color up for two other figures that need it too. 5-Pack Flint backpack. The one rifle is from Spy Troops Tunnel Rat or something like that and the other is a mish mash of the RoC Hawk rifle, Marauder scope and silencer. Lot's of Dark Grey, Black and Olive paint.

Deadpool, yes. Of course the whole things needs paint, and actually, I may not be using them on him now.

Honestly, I never saw the point in buying separate washes, I just use the dirty water I dip the brushes into. Like, I basecoat the figure black, so wetting the brush make the water black. Then I paint the next color, let's say green, so the water turns dark green when I wet the brush next. Then that's what I use for washes! :P

That's what I did. Otherwise I mixed a diluted black to recoat some areas.

That's the parachute that came with either the CC or Cobra Trooper from the DVD Best of Battle Pack with Alpine. I started painting the straps almost 7-8 months ago before I had everything assembled so now he's back in the line up while I am working with mad amounts of red.

About 80% complete. I am pretty sure I got everything done that would require outdoor work like cutting and spraying. I do have to re-attach all the handles, mirrors, etc and then I should be done with it soon. It's still on the plate. I'll get some updated images this weekend.

I learned one thing tonight, City Strike Snake Eyes is a terrible figure to customize. Out of two, I destroyed a torso and broke an upper arm. On another I broke the peg off the lower right arm and on another, as well as a Rescue Mission SE I worked with previous, I broke the peg on the left foot. Beware. They are thin pegs on this one. Same with Night Adder/RoC Roadblock. For how thick those lower legs are, thinest pegs ever on the feet.

Yeah, I want to kick myself too. At least 80% of the figure can be used yet and I know I will. I saw that someone asked you about cracking them open, it's make painting much easier and smoother from piece to piece.

12/29, the last time I had anything to share. It's been a long 5 months with little work being done in that time and just in the past few weeks the bug has bitten and I am finding the time to get things done. If you look back to my last update in December (2 pages back) you see the start of two Snake-Eyes, animated and a unique creation of my own. All that is left are the finishing touches.

I can't say enough how awesome those Uppers look on that torso for SE! I would have never though of using that combo & that paint on them helix legs is So smooth.... OOOoooOOOOOooo So smooth ;)

Thanks, Doc! The toothpicks in the legs, they work in arms holes and the screw holes on the thighs (at least the square Diamond brand does on the screw holes). I paint, then poke them into a foam block to hold them up.

Ahhhh! An update from KingPhil. This made me happy. Glad to see you back. Can't wait to see what you have in store.
I'm not too sure about a purple snake eyes though. Although if you did a dark blue or black wash over him he would look like he did in a few illustrations Marvel did back in the day. Kinda like they color spiderman sometimes. All black figure with outlines of musculature in blue as simple shapes.
