Wow...they have the parachute figure pics up at Mastercollector:

I don't know why anyone would buy that figure only to throw him off the roof. If I bought it, i'd keep it. It's a 12" Crimson Guard.

They crapped out with the set itself and then offer a 12 inch Joe to go with the set....

Uggh thats horrid! His helmet is like totally out of proportions, like run over by a semi! I love/buy EVERYTHING Crimson Guard...think this will be first disappoitment for my CG army ...I would not pay $1.00 in pesos for that...

I will just wait for sideshow to do it right...they coulda least give him the right damn weapon sheesh

Yeah they said it would be a Crimson Guard, but now after seeing it I want it!Same here, especially if it has the super articulated body. Always wondered why Hasbro hasn't used that for their 12" Joes in Modern Era/movie

I went to my first JoeCon last year. The drop was inside with 3 3/4 figs and was one of the highlights of the Con for my son (minus the people with sticks on the balconies trying to get them before the kids on the ground). I cant wait to see these come off the Hotel outside. Its a tall Hotel too. They have the potential to go quite a ways I figure.

That's probably the best 12" COBRA figure I've ever seen. Very cool.

Exactly!

I'm with Samantha on this one. That is a doll.

12" figures are dolls. He's the right size to ride in the Barbie Dream Car. That makes him a doll or action doll if it makes you feel better.

I may have to pick one up at JoeCon or maybe two so I can say I tossed a GI Joe doll off a building.:D

the club has volunteers that throw them off the roof and are collected by children mostly, on the ground. you don't throw yours off, lol, it's the clubs. you can purchase the "doll" at the club store at the con.

Of course I would have to take the head off, cut out the bottom, glue in some paddiing on the inside and use one of these Heads on him. It looks like on of the Fred Series don't you think?

Lugging a squad automatic AND a rifle, pistol, and parachute? Those CGs really ARE elite! Roadblocks every one of them. Don't mess!

I emailed the con organizers about volunteering for the drop, bit due to the hotel being 42 stories, only con staff will be throwing these, and they will have to be harnessed to the building.

indeed, i talked to the hotel manager today while scoping out the show floor, which is massive btw. she said the drop will be done outside. this confused me, because the top of the hotel is a rotating restaurant. i wasn't to sure how they were going to pull that off. i guess harness's make sense, yikes! as i suspected, no raking in the freebies this year with broom-sticks. :D

to answer lody's ?, no you don't have to pay for the ones you snag outta the air. some people just have better techniques than others, and i'm not one of them.

Oy this stinks. Happy for those of you who are 12" fans, but I can't stand these things. This is my son's first year at a con, so hopefully he likes these guys. It is going to be funny as all get out watching these kids run all over the place trying to get these as they fall from such a height.

I'm almost always in line when these drop so I've never actually seen the drop before. What's the etiquette with the kids? Do the kids just get to all sit in a line and wait for them to fall and then it's like an easter egg hunt where its all kids for themselves? Or are the kids going to have to fight off adults too?
