Hey, no pics here, but I picked up Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow today, and he's pretty cool, with one possible exception that may piss a lot of people off.
The Likeness is pretty decent, although according to the package, this on one dreamy, beautiful man. I am a heterosexual male, but the artwork of this dude is creepily hypnotic, I suppose that's why he's a huge star is Asian cinema.
Back to being serious, the figure is cast in more of a pure white than the slightly cream colored regular version, with no skirt, an opened collar, and of course, no mask. There is silver detailing on the torso.
The strange thing is, he is made of a lot of new parts.
Aside from the left thigh, right inner thigh, knees, hands. and lower legs(which have been reversed), he's all new. The arms and feet could have been easily reused, and they could have cheated on torso, but didn't. This is either pretty neat, or makes me more irritated that my Thunder lacks his dinky little antennae.
He's got a missle launcher, suction cup with handles, a nicely painted version of the original's pistol, the same 2 swords, but now without the arashikage symbols, a retooled backback that is removeable, and a sweet pair of sai. That sound you hear is a hundred custom ARAH Ice Vipers coming to grab the sai.
Now to the bad part. When pics of this guy first came, folks were pretty excited about switching the ninja head onto this body with it's unrestricted legs. Bad news. The neck sizes differ too greatly from the use of new parts. Ninja head has a Mechaneck on this body, and unmasked head cannot even fit onto the low sitting regular neck
Overall, he's pretty cool, and I like the sai, but the overall appreciation will have to wait until seeing the character on film.
This review is primarily a warning to those who are planning togeab this for a simple pop and swap, because it will take some serious modification to make that work.
