I just recently picked up a Snake Eyes from the Rise of Cobra line. I didn't buy it because I have any desire for Snake Eyes, but because the head is an exact modern era interpretation of Night Vulture whom I'm making a custom of.

So this leads me to wonder. Are we going to see RoC tooling further down the line? Will movie Storm Shadows head be used to make a Dice figure? Will RoC Cover Girls body become RAH body later down the line.

I wonder if Hasbro is going to reuse the molds in this line. Since we didn't see the reuse of the movie TF molds in the lines that followed.

Without a doubt.

Also, this line isn't going to end any time soon. There will still be RoC line going in 2010, they may end up dropping the RoC tag and just leave it G.I. Joe. But they won't stop making Joe toys, and those that tie into the movie-verse, anytime soon (as long as they sell of course..)

The molds from the first TF movie are already showing up again.

Joe is even easier to repaint. Expect it.

sigh...sadly, yes, yes they will...they're gonna get some use outta those molds whether it fits the given classic figure design or not...

example, Gung-Hos head on Cutter...

Especially with 2 more movies coming in the series after this one(ROC). We could be seeing movie line figures/vehicles for the next 6-8 years at that rate!

Yes, Hasbro will get as much use of of these movie figure molds as possible.

This is absolutely true.

The Movie line and its molds will be around for a while.

Are there going to be sequels to the movie? If there are they will definitely both reuse parts and make new ones.

Isn't ROC Cover Girl's body and thighs just a retooling of 5 pack Lady Jaye's?

Yes, Hasbro uses the same tooling until it's either:

1.) lost

2.) becomes too popular (because they like to see us suffer :D )

Damn it, I wasnt wearing my glasses and clicked the wrong one. I think they will use the movie molds and mix a few new ones in here and there.

Well, I truthfully believe if they reuse molds I think we'll get a mixed bag. I think Zarana will without a doubt get a helix head, and I think movie dukes body w/accelerator suit will be used. I think movie heavy duty will get roadblocks head and for modern heavy duty, perhaps Dr. Link Talbot too. Mondern Mindbender will be used for modern Crystal Ball and so forth. Those vipers from the movie can be used for Big Boa. The list goes on and on.

The more molds the better I say. With a few notable exceptions (Leatherneck and Cutter), they've managed to do pretty well with the reuses.
