Yup Happy Canada day!
even though Im stuck in the office all day (and as of writing this at 6pm am still in the office working). At least I get friday off to make up for it.
Canada Day is sort of like the equivalent to the states Treason Day, I mean Day of Independance (I kid I kid).

Canada Day is the day that Canadian people surrendered to the British as one. Britain said they could be a country by themselves in 1982 I think.
Everybody in our Montreal office at work had to work today because our offices in the states have July 3rd off. This way all offices have the same day off.
Quebec hates the rest of Canada anyways so they probably don't mind.

Were just not as patient as you guys, but had we known it would only take until 1982 for the English to say "You know its just rather cheeky of us to try and run the whole bloody world." We would have patiently waited for our freedom too.
Hi Blay!

I've noticed they have a lot of bizarre TV shows, like one called "The Happy Giant" which is like "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood", but he's a friendly giant. And "Radio Active", which makes me wonder why they couldn't fork over for extras, as it seems the same group of students and two faculty members were the only people in that school...
But hey, we got "You Can't Do That On Television" and "The Racoons" out of it. :)

....yeah, for the "eh" and "aboot" comments.....I was not born in Canada and I haven't heard anyone say "aboot" except for the people in Eastern Canada, who are the only Canadians who say "aboot", and even they hardly say it, and "eh" is hardly said here at all in general.
Just thought I would throw that out there because a lot of people can be rather uneducated and have stereotypes about people.

So are you saying that the way Canadians are portrayed on South Park is not an accurate representation of the Canadian people.
