View Full Version : can someone explain the Montezuma thing to me?

I recently won an Ebay auction on a 25th anniversary lot that I've had my eye on, and one of the figures that I got was a Montezuma Skeleton. It came with a little cart, and three boxes filled with minerals/rocks/fairy dust/whatever. Anyways, my question is; what is the story behind this skeleton and his rocks? Oh yeah, and why did he come with a news camera?

The cart with rocks were from DVD set 1 MAss Device those were the 3 elements came with a Cobra Trooper as for Montezuma he came in DVD set 3 or 4 with Serpentor.
Oh yeah forgot u mention camera thats from set 5.

Montezuma's skeleton came with the Arise, Serpentor Arise DVD pack, the Cart came with the MASS Device DVD pack, and the TV camera came with the Best of the 80's DVD pack. They have nothing to do with each other.

No joke my friend, all of the figures I received in this lot came in individual ziplock baggies with all their accessories, the Montezuma skeleton came in a baggie with the cart, minerals, and news camera, so I assumed they went with him.

So now that I know where these items came from, what exactly is the lore behind this Skeleton, it strikes me as odd to find such a character in the G.I. Joe line......Does it have to do with using its DNA to make Serpentor? I thought I remember reading that Serperntor was created by taking DNA from great rulers of the past......

Yes ur right Montezuma was one of the DNA samples to makin Serpentor

The cart was for MASS device shown during Cobra Temple scene

TV Camera seen on the GI JOE Movie intro that was included with Best of the 80's a shame the 87 Movie was not included.

I'm still hoping we see a GI Joe Movie pack with Cobra La or Sgt. Slaughter and some BATs.

They should make the movie packs like they did in the DVD style 5 sets with a built it urself BET

I thought the same thing. To me the figure looks more medival then aztec
