View Full Version : Spammed hard by contest for Sideshow figures!

I cannot find the thread for it but there was one on here to sign up to win some sideshow figs. I did just that and have been FLOODED with spam ever since I entered. I just thought everyone should know. I cannot remember the website but it was listed in the forum somewhere.

I think that is pretty lame. I guess I should read all that tiny print when you sign up for this junk.

Filter should take care of it in a few weeks but still pretty upset about the entire thing.

I usually don't get stuff like this either. I can't figure out where it may be coming from. I haven't signed up for anything in a long time. I get spam every day but it is filtered. I never receive any unless something new gets through. I can't say for sure but it's the only place I could think of.

I could be wrong. I am just taking a stab out there. Maybe someone just hates me or I have the worst luck in the world. LOL

I would run your anti virus software.......maybe your PC has been breached. Look for ad ware and stuff like that. Also check to see if any new "programs" have been installed

It's on the Gmail side of things. Computer is clean as a babies ars. I run Anti Virus and check every night. Running Windows 7 Final Evaluation Build. and it's nothing on the actual PC. It's my Google Mail that is getting slammed. I have been listing all the new spam as it comes in and it will probably take a few days or so to stop coming in. I just hate this stuff.

Sorry if I was quick to blame. Just seemed like the most likely culprit.

i clicked that i did not want to receive email from them when i entered and i havent gotten any spam or anything

This may be what it was. Oh well. I am usually pretty careful with this junk!

No spam here but my spam filter may be catching it all.
