Ok, here's my son and I's custom entry for the Kids Custom Coontest. It's our version of the Dreadnok's Swampfire. Made w/ a C.O.R.P.S. mini-choper we got at Wal-Mart.

Thank you guys. Tank' & Ninja you guy do such great customs that your praises are immesurable for me and therefore my son aswell... THANK YOU!!! ... I literally teared up. He's wondering why other people care that much, and I'm trying to explain that he's become a member of an entirely difrent family.
I have never done a custom and to do my 1st. w/ my oldest son is just amazing on levels I'll never be able to explain (other parents will probably know what I mean ) Thank all of you that help make this memorable for him, I've been a fan for years and he's just starting, but win or loose this is absolutly complete win because it inspired all of us to get "down & dirty" w/ our kids to create something all of our own.
Win or loose this has opened the world of customs for me and Mason. You guys giving the praise you have makes me feel confident that we can do anything we want and somewow make it work.
Thank you!

Just for a refrence, here is the pic of the original Swampfire that I had intended to include, but somehow managed to miss. this is the image from YoJoe that inspired Mason to make what we made. He loves the 'Noks, but I feel that he's been influenced by my own prefrences ( something I'm kinda proud of).

Thanks Tank'. I love all of the customizers here in "our Home" , but having you as someone in our own state realy makes me feel a comradery(sp) that means a lot. Mason is so estatic after having me read the things you guys have posted, his expresions are enough to make me cry.
I have never known the kind of comradery that I have found here, and to be able to extend that to my oldest son just makes me feel that my "investment" has not/ nor will ever be in vain.

its joe or bust man lol!!! ya i am still trying to suck my kids into joes but to many lame-o cartoons as pokemon and... well i know you now the rest they are so brainless and and suck kids in with no imagination oh and the video games too
man when i was a kid i would build forts out of cardboard boxes and make trap doors and stuff
now the new iron man & wolverine cartoons are not bad
tommorow we are having a transformer cartoon day just to have fun and to finish our ghost hawks up

Lol... Mason's fav. cartoon, besides the "marvel hero" ones is the Ben 10 stuff, which I actualy like a lot. I think that they realy seem to be the cloest thing we have now to what we grew up with.
The animation , to me, is prety good and I realy like the stories/concept. Now the "action" figures may leave something to be desired, but who am I to judge. For all I know in 25+ years there couls be a whole online(cyberneticly linked) world devoted to them.
I don't think any of us should be able to "downgrade" "modern pop-culture-toons" as any one of them could be the "one" that replaces us.

Thanks everyone. Mason will be here in the morning so I can read the new comments to him then, but I already know he'll be cheezin' proud. He realy enjoyed this project and everyone's been great w/ the comments.
I just need to figure out something I can do w/ my 2 y.o. 'cuz he want's to "color" his toys too now.

Give him a Sharpie and a Combat Hero! :D I started customizing with a sharpie to color Duke's grenade way back when...

It is great fun to customize as a family!

That's a good idea. Thanks. We'll try it out and see what he comes up with sometime soon.
