My Die-o-rama Entry: The Double Agent

(This is my Die-o-rama entry, entitled "The Double Agent".) Joe intellegence recieved first rumors, then blurred pictures, of Cobras discovery of ancient robots. According to the info, a meteor that fell to earth turned out to be a section of an ancient spaceship which, as it turned out, held two equally ancient robots. Robots that were dated to before the creation of the earth. The spaceship was too badly damaged to be of any use but the robots were intact but nonfunctional. The two robots were taken to an underground Cobra Research Base for examination: The entrance to the base is an old nondescript shed with a wide array of security devices built into it.

The problem was, recovering the two robots would be impossible. Any attempt to take the base via the entrance would only make the Cobras inside seal off the entrance. And blasting open the ground to get at the base would only result in the base caving in. Mainframe, however, pointed out that he knew a double agent that would be able to walk into the base and send the two robots directly into GI Joe's hands. However, it would take several days to get ready and their agent would not survive the mission. Mainframe got the go-ahead and made the preparations.

Several days later, GI Joes agent was dropped off close to the base, where he walked in through the entrance and easily got into the base. In the main lab, Scrap-Iron, one of Destro's Iron Grenadiers, one of the televipers, and a Black Dragon Ninja were looking over the two robots when a Cobra BAT entered the room. "GET OUT OF HERE!", the Televiper yelled at the BAT. The BAT floored the Televiper with one swipe of its arm. (The BAT is the custom figure. The chestpiece was missing so I replaced it with a piece of self-sticking black foam and put a cobra insignia on it.) Scrap-Iron yelled, "HEY! THAT ISN'T ONE OF OUR BATS". The BAT Slammed both Scrap-Iron and the Ninja into the table, then went after the Iron Grenadier. It slammed the Iron Grenadier into the wall, then picked up the two robots and left the room.

The BAT manhandled the Firebat onto its belly, then opened the canopy and forced the two robots inside. Then it programmed the autopilot, closed the canopy, then pushed it back upright.

And as the Firebat took off, its tailfire in the enclosed area destroyed the captured Cobra BAT Mainframe had laborously reprogrammed. The Firebat , and the two alien robots , were recovered and are now safely in GI Joe possession. Where experts are trying to unlock the secrets of the two ancient robots.
