Resolute Red

Does anyone think the red costumed CC, officer and trooper from the 5 pack will be shown in the cartoon. I'm not sure if this was just another Hasbro repaint or if the color has some significance in the Resolute story line. It might be cool to see the red versions in the cartoon and learn why they are that color. What do you guys think.

I think it was just a repaint... I've never been a fan of Red CCs... to me he's black and blue, but never red all over.

I didn't think that Jet Pack Duke would be in the series, but he was.

Seeing Jet Pack Duke on screen in all his avionic glory is waht made me think of the red Cobras.

I don't think there's time. I'm now of the mind that Resolute is a one-shot and will have no sequels. Prequels, maybe (I'm not a big fan of showing the ending first and then going back to the beginning, but it seems popular now), but not sequels.

Didn't Hasbro say months back, that if it was succesful they'd be open to making more?

I don't think they're going to kill all the Cobra High Command off.

You may be right, but killing Storm Shadow is a big thing. I think Destro and the Baroness, as well as Zartan, are about to get wasted and COBRA Commander himself at the end.

Honestly I don't think anyone is safe in Resolute. Bludd got it in the first episode after all.

By the way as far as repaints go I thought that the red looked good. It makes sense to have crimson troopers in GI Joe land. Resolute Samurai Storm Shadow does not though..... (Go, Go Power Rangers.)

I view the red Cobra Resolute Troopers as Crimson Guard auxillary/reserve or the CG's shock troops.

Still want to see those Resolute BATs in action.

I stand corrected on many counts. But I'm satisfied. I'm glad the red troopers were in it (of course the actual troopers are more magenta than red, but I digress).

I thought it was cool seeing them. I guess the Red are either (A) Elite, or (B) Paper-pushers, button-pressers.

There were blue troops up top, and red down below. So it could go either way I guess.

To me they are elite :)

I think the red ones are the Tele-Vipers and just don't know it yet. I see them doing another one or a series because this was really cool and refreshing, even though they killed off Stormshadow. I think CC, Destro & The Baroness escaped and will lead to another mini movie or a series. Zartan could've escaped wounded but who knows? I really never did care for Major Bludd before so it didn't bother me that he was gone right away(just surprised that it happened so quickly into the show!) I liked Gung-Ho's comment about Destro making the Baroness's panties out of C4, that was pretty good but got my mind wondering away from the show and thinking about what the Baroness was wearing under her outfit, lol.
Overall I think it was a big win-win for Hasbro because they have 2 good-to-decent toy lines coming this year for G.I.Joe and hopefully a series or another mini movie for Resolute and the movie line(s). Look at the huge flood of new Joe figs/vehicles we are getting now and just about a month ago or less we thought everything that's coming out for this year and maybe the next 2 years would be movie related only. Now there's a wave 14? And all of these new Resolute figures? Although it will not be easy on the wallets I think alot of us here will be happy with the new stuff(at least something that's coming out soon.) I would love one of those Resolute Hiss Tanks and the Joe choppers that took off from the Flagg before it was destroyed would be great too. Maybe the black Cobra semi trooper transport that was in Resolute will make it to the shelves?
