It's still eerie to me that a Cobra Trooper probably outranks him, though size and bulk, the gaoler is much bigger.
Since the new figures have removable upper-body vests, I wonder if it'd be a profit for Hasbro to make a gaoler with or without a removable mask.
They could even give him a simple club when he escorts Selena and Scarlett to the slave pens at feeding time.

No, never a toy.
Kind of a bland figure. Not everyperson that appeared in a cartoon episode needs a figure.

I'm sure we'll have 30 more threads though on every character and vehicle whether they were or wont...

You know, I thought whether I should have just made one "unfinished toy" thread, but it would sure be chaotic.
Who knows,
Selena, Hondalou, Satin 3-pak?

God please no. Please don't turn Joe into Star Wars where every single character has to get a figure (with Star Wars, it's more that they've run out of good characters but people will still buy 'em even if it's the Jabba's Ugly Slave Girl Dancer figure).

It's the Gene Simmons approach.
He reminds more of those zombie guys with the spiked helmets and hands that went berserk in the Beastmaster movie.

I've all but stopped buying Star Wars figures now. I had a few and was leaving the toy section. I looked down and was like "WTF! I am buying 3 figures that i can't even remember seeing in the movies, and i have seen them all at least 100 times???" I put them back.

Hooded head or removable hood?
Any upper body gear to go with that?
Too few Cobras in MASS Device. Only 5
CC
Trooper
Dest
Bludd
Baron
The gaoler added more to the series.

If a new figure is to be made, IMO it needs to add something to the toyline. Bazooka Trooper and Para-Viper both added stuff to the toyline. What would a Gaoler figure add? Nothing.
I really don't want Joe to get to the point where they make figures out of anyone and everyone that made an appearance in the old cartoons and comics.

Me too,
I am all for them making every character that made an appearance, just like star wars...but STOP GIVING ME MORE CORE CHARACTERS THAT YOU'VE ALREADY MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please.
For those who gotta have em all, and want every character possible, this is cool...
For those those only buy what they want, this is also cool
for those who gotta have em all but want them to stop the line, sorry dudes and dudettes, won't work out to well for ya.....

Bring him on. I need someone new for my Joe beheading Dio. Big Boa isn't cutting it (pun intended). Tired of all these shitty retro figures we need some new characters...

why would size and bulk determine rank? Cobra Commander is pretty pip squeek compared to hs troops, should they outrank him?

I say make him, and have a removable mask but make his face horrible like Jason from the earlier Friday the 13th movies or maybe look like Sloth from The Goonies, just not as friendly.
I'm also the guy that wants to see every obscure character made into a figure.

If they didn't keep her on the shelves how would they keep all those pegs for Star Wars. I got like 50 of them warming the shelves. Every other week a new box or two gets mixed in. Then all the Clone Troops will disappear after a week and then we're back to the ugly fat girl.

Cobra Commander needs to hit the gym. Otherwise someone will de-throne him. :) I figure he would really have to be bigger than average though. But regardless CC has to sleep with one eye open at all times. I wonder how many assassination attempts CC handles a year. Only to be awaiting his attackers, because they may get up a 3AM but he never sleeps.
But yeah the Gaoler is sort of lame, I want to see Big Boa first. That being said I love new Characters no matter what. Thank god for the Customizers, cuz I can't paint.

I say bring me more unique characters in a box or comic set so no over run on the single cards. The single cards are for the "normal" old run. Troop builders are would do well in box sets, but make them troops only and not with a "special" band of paint or something to throw them off, unless theya re a "force" like tiger or something. I am all for anything but more franken-ho repaints, and speaking of galoer or whatever his name could be made with road pig with a hooded cc head. add some croc master spikes and wha-la. COBRA!

It's the Gene Simmons approach.
Or actually, the George Lucas approach... anyone think he sold his quality for money with the animated series?
He reminds more of those zombie guys with the spiked helmets and hands that went berserk in the Beastmaster movie.
One of the better scenes in the movie!
I really don't want Joe to get to the point where they make figures out of anyone and everyone that made an appearance in the old cartoons and comics.
Is that any worse than multiple repaints? Those can be good for those that missed older models from years past.

Looks like an average man to me

removable hood sounds cool, but would take either, i wouldnt give him any upper body gear. maybe just cloak an some barbaric type of weapon, like a wooden staff, an some sort of blade at the top, like a battle axe, or some giant knife thingy strapped on by leather strips. i would keep him as close as the cartoon character. spiked belt an all.

If this character was released before any of the so called "favorites" we'd all be up in arms with cries of hasblo and death of line... Stop saying you want things you're just going to trash.

Well, e-mail Hasbro then. I wonder how they decide who gets released next year.
I mean, if they give us Mass Device and Weather Dominators, I don't see why they can't give us the pen master or whatever his actual position was.

For SW, can there be anything new?
Does the animation series have their own toys that are different than the live ones?

The more the better, who would want them to stop making figures? That is rather insane to say, given we all want th eline to continue...This guy is easily made though, a Hooded CC head, Storm Shadow body, Serpentor legs and some dreadnoks lower legs, some paint and boom done....I made this guy a while back as I liked him. Better yet BnB figs could make him stellar too!!

Stormshadow is lean for stealth. This gaoler has a bulky powerlifter build. Another body perhaps?

This character kinda reminds me of "Blaster" from "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome."
CrimsonGuard101
05-09-2009, 11:11 AM
With the right arms it is not to lean for Stromshadow torso, the other bodies make him look way to big like serpentor or bazooka's torso plus have takey details in on thier chests and with way to skinny legs, you would have to use bazookas legs to make him look in proportion. If you want that huge feeling then you will have ti use something other than joes like build n brawl figures.

Or hope Hasbro creates him.
With all the accessories we get these days, I wonder what he'd be armed with. I know he has a club when he and a trooper escort Scarlett and Selena to feed the slaves in the last chapter.
