Probly not.

Don't know. Nothings been said about the vehicles being internet only.
So only Hasbro and Wal-Mart know, and they haven't said anything yet.
Personally, my local Wal-Mart won't, since they don't carry any vehicles period.

I'd bet lots of money that you won't see the Stinger at Wal-Mart. Maybe someday, after the movie, as some kind of repaint.

you most likely have to get them online, the stores will be flooded with movie stuff so yeah you are screwed.

No, not that I know of. Wal-Mart hasn't done any Joe exclusives (except for those 12" ones over the holiday).

I concur... probably online only until way after the movie products clog the shelves....

It seems like in the last Q&A session, Hasbro said something that made me think that the stinger vehicle wave would be internet only, but I'm not sure which site asked the question.

Naw, they'll come out before the movie stuff. Hasbro needs something Modern Era for us all (especially the ones that won't be getting any movie stuff) to latch onto and go nuts over.
Post-Movie I'm pretty sure is when we'll see a Low-Light and some other high profile vehicles. Hasbro will need something flashy for the Modern Era to make it's return on.

I hope not. You can't find joe products at most Walmarts in my area.

Asked and answered in the last Q&A
TNI: We see that etailers are taking pre-orders once again for the 5th assortment of G.I.Joe classic vehicles. Will these only be made available online or can we expect large retailers like Wal-Mart, Target and TRU to carry them as well?
Hasbro: There is a chance that these will make it to shelves before the movie in larger retailers, it is based on each retailer and their inventory of vehicles. They will be available online for sure.

even though that is prob what you want to believe,it is very unlikely.with shelfs full of old vehicles, they will most likely sit and wait for those to sell.
the movie crap is about to flood . tons of crapness by the loads.
there is even rumors of the modern line continuing in 2010 with a possible re re re release of the dragonfly.
what you have seen from roc toys is just the beginning.there will be tons more of that crap coming.

And the Dragonfly would be the just flashy enough to relaunch the Modern Era after the movie crap. Wouldn't surprise me to see Modern Era and Move stuff at the same time (similar to Star Wars).
The only thing though is the packaging is so different...
As for the movie toys being crap, that's a matter of opinion, there's alot of stuff shown so far for the movie line that I want to get ahold of.

I have to agree with you on this one. The dragonfly, in any packaging, would be enough to drag me back into the line. I still won't buy any of the new figures. However, I will buy any classic vehicles they release whether they're in the new or old style packing.

I really, really hope that there is no spring-loaded crap on this, though. They've already screwed up the Ferret with one. I can just see the ski missiles or rack on top having a spring feature and making my soul cry.
Same goes for the dragonfly.

Good point. We can only hope they don't add any of that crap but there's no point in stressing over it now.

Sounds like the Wave 5 vehicles might make it to local stores. It all depends on how often they move through them. If they ordered more vehicles reccently to resupply, they could get the Wave 5 case.
If they do a Dragonfly, I hope it's all all-new mold. Like the Sky Hawk. I'd like a more detailed cockpit and enhanced turret.

Is Walmart going to carry the new stingers?
considering retailers don't generally release press releases about what specific items they are going to carry, that is simply an unknown. when asked, Hasbro said it is up to the retailer and dependent upon the stock they have and whether they order anymore.

i remember reading that larger retailers that typically order from asia will likely get these (not verbatim, so not quoted). to me that means target, wm, km, and leaving out other retailers that order from warehouses or distributors in the states, like the grocery chains, steinmart, etc.
it is prob'ly wise to order them online, but i do think we will see them at wm and target and tru.

Wow. This almost makes up for the ROC movie... almost. LOL. Seriously though, the Snow Cat rules. I wonder what other ARAH vehicles will eventually get the 25th treatment; the more the merrier.

For the first time in a while, my Walmart, as well as TRU, have a ron of vehicles, and a good variety at that. Could be Hasbro trying to get out their remaining stock, but hopefully it means they are ordering more. I recall reading that retail stores could carry the new vehicles if they wanted to order them. I understand the need for shelf space, but it seems the movie would serve as a great advertisement for potential collectors who are inspired to grab a nostalgic piece of their youth rather than film based toys, right?
Regardless, Hasbro's own Star Wars and Transformers have shown that there is a market for clasic style characters and product once a film has come and gone, but elevates a property in popular culture.
Hopefully we'll see these and more.
I read on another board that Target has the Joe veichles maked as NCF(non Carry forward).Which means they are making space for the movie stuff. So,Target brobably won't get wave 5 of the vehicles.

I figured Target and toys r us would be the only place that get any. Wal-marts around here cleared that shelf space after christmas as well as the dvd packs, and have never re-stocked.
I believe hasbro said this set was made available for those retailers(on-line or otherwise)that bought a certain amount(=Sizeable quanty),and that the retailer was ordering straight from hong kong.I'm not sure how toy distribution works,I would have assumed that was how they were ordered any way.

Man, Walmart is sad. I went today and they again had blue Firefly, Bazooka, Major Bludd, and disguise Flint, and the comic packs. I bought Flint. And of course no ROC figures.
I posted this in the wrong thread oops.
