This is just obsurd. I mean, unless I miss my guess there is nothing about this figuer that is 25th. (I mean the figure it'self, everything else seems to match the Zartan I managed to get for myself.)
It looks to me as if he was trying to pass it off as a 5-pack zartan on a single card by mistake, but even a slightly "aware" individual (hopefully anyone who would be looking for "Joes") would notice the mold. The arms are decidedly NOT 25th. nor do I see and sign of articulation in the "diaphram". and I'd be willing to bet my "marble bag" that if you streach this Zartan you would find an "o-ring" holding him together.
Last I looked he had no bids and I hope it stays that way. Anyone know a way to help make sure he doesn't actually profit from selling this to someone who don't know what to look for? I understand where some might say "if you fell for it and baught it it's your own fault" but I know a few people who know nothing about Joes that go out of their way to get me and my oldest son any Joe-Stuff and don't realy know what to look for. Besides, if he does sell it then all it'll do is enforce the idea that this is ok.
I know I'm fairly new to the "Tank" but isn't this kind-of-thing something we should do what we can to prevent?
Not to rant, but this kinda p***ed me off.

There's not much that can be done. Hasbro doesn't care. Retailers don't care. Basically we could all get our toys for free if we wanted to. As I've said in other threads, this is one of the times I regret my parents made me go to Sunday School and lessons like THOU SHALT NOT STEAL and "even if nobody else sees you do it, GOD sees you do it" were drilled into my subconscious mind.
At one of my Wal-Marts, there's a Joe and COBRA 5-pack that have been repacked. I took it upon myself to take them to customer service and explain what had happened to them. A few weeks later, the same repacks are back on the shelf. They don't care.
Hasbro has said in a Q&A they are looking into packaging that will make repacking more difficult, but that it really is a retail issue and not their problem.
I wonder if one day I will walk into an action figure aisle and see NOTHING but repacks on the pegs and shelves, that literally every item in stock will have been tampered with. It seems there is nothing to stop it other than the individual collector's conscience and personal sense of right and wrong. And I'm sure plenty of collectors get a kick out of geek-shoplifting and sticking it to evil corporate greedy Wal-Mart and Hasbro and feeling like they are striking some sort of blow for the plight of the common man, when all they're really doing is rationalizing their own greed.
I inspect the stuff that I buy now. I used to not like the window boxes for vehicles but now I'm grateful for them. I had mild nerd anxiety 'til I got my PP Conquest home (before they were plentiful) and could open it up and make sure it was all there and someone hadn't packed a gold TRU Rattler in it or something.

Anyone know why your not allowed to sell repacks? Is it misrepresenting the item?

Wow, this is the second time that figure has been on ebay. The last time the seller said it was an error. Don't remember if it was the same seller.

The seller sent me another email and stated that "He thought it was neat and would try to sell it". He has a good feedback and is clearly either a complete retard or a smart seller. I believe that he knows because of all of the other toys that he has sold.

Well it doesn't seem like he is trying to pass it off as an ultra rare card or something. at 10 bucks, someone got the joke or was just plain curious.

I just looked at it real fast and could tell it was the Zartan from the 3-pack comic pack from a few years ago.
I'm a firm believer that if this kind of shit took place when we were kids(80s that is).Joe would be a faded memory now.I don't know about the rest of you. But,i came from a single parent home.My Dad worked his ass off to make sure me.my brother and sister got what we wanted.I just think its sad people are trying to make money off of toys. They are not college funds or house payments. To quote Toy Story "they are a childs play thing".I think the line between Toy and Get rich quick, blurred along time ago.
Sorry for the rant,i'm just sick of this stupid shit.
