I poked my head into TRU for my weekly disappointment and was instead surprised by finding this there for $8. Long after they were cleared out.

It actually ended up being released around March of 06 for clarification.

Probably a return, at Walmart we got a Sigma Strike Duke (which we haven't carried since a single case last fall) returned, and it wasn't even from Walmart as I saw the sticker residue that was bigger than our stickers.

And the Code Lyoko figure, which we never carried to begin with.

And last year's Spider-Man 2 Bump and Go (not available at WM since 2005 at least, we got one late 2006)

I actually found several of these at Toys R Us on Monday for the same price. I believe they came out of the back room, probably pulled from the shelves when Sigma 6 took over the peg space held by the DTC line. I bought one for my Snow Serpent brigade, but decided it looked a little too futuristc. I gave it to my Arc Troopers instead.

I think my TRU refuses to carry the 25th line until the Dragonhawks finally clear out.

LOL...it's funny how synchronized Joe fandom is, and how we all seem as if we are one mind just in different states! The reason I say this, is that I found this very vehicle after a random stop at TRU last night, and wondered the exact same thing everyone else is left thinking- where the 'h' did this thing come from!?

TRU has nearly zero Joes throughout the holidays and definitely zero right now, but this lone VvV Joe vehicle pops out from the storeroom somehow?! Wouldn't it just beat all if it were in that storeroom for like two years, and everytime someone asks if they have more Joe stock in the back the TRU employee working the floor says the rather inane refrain of late: "What you see on the shelves is all we have". I'd like to punch something really hard for all the times I've heard that as of late.

I get that too. I've stopped asking the employees about that. In fact, one time I did ask and got this answer, another customer overheard the brief conversation. When the employee walked away, the other customer walked over to me and told me I should look in the area behind the inserts above the shelves because they store extra stuff up there. I found many more toys in that area but not what I wa looking for.

The wierd thing is when I got the 3 I did, there were 2 left!

I've known about the extra stuff behind the flaps for years. Since before I could actually reach up there, in fact.

Though there's usually never anything good there.

I saw the same thing at a TRU a few days ago, the same one that RonaldofGilead had gone to.

As for extra stuff behind the flaps, I was able to find 2 cases of wave 3 joes back when wave 3 first started showing up at TRU. It also helps to have SKU#s so you can ask what other TRUs have Figures. Thats how I found a couple extra cobra troopers and officers.

I'd definately buy one of those if I found one. Especially for the price. In the mean time I'll wait for those sweet Target vehicles..

LOL...too right! I won't say I've known about the extra stuff behind the inserts for years, but I was certainly clued in at some point, and do check there on occasion. As you said though, Onslaught, rarely is there anything worth writing home about up there.

I actually saw a DTC Scrap-Iron on a peg at a TRU in Van Nuys, Ca. Seems like TRUs had inventory last night. Hopefully they start getting 25ths Wave 4 and up within the month.

If they did, it would be the first time since early August that TRU would have anything of Joe interested on their pegs here in AZ! Here's hoping you're right.

ive given up on the local tru here. they never have anything good. i was there 3 weeks ago and they still had the 3 pack comic packs with the gas troopers and the one with the purple dragon fly guy. then a lot of the generic crap.
