I have seen the UBPs for 28 in a few Targets. Stopped by last night to the closest one (East Brunswick) and looked like the last two were gone. At least it will keep me from buying them - I have been fighting the compulsion. Looks like they did get a new case of W12 yesterday at the same Target, only figure missing was the Diver - not quite as hard to find as the BAT since I occasionally find them, but they don't stay on the pegs long.

Nothing new at TRU or Walmart as usual.

yeah i need to venture out to the stores more often , cus lately army building eels an troopers ain't working to well online. im having a hard time gettin 10 of each.

Yeah, troopbuilding those can be slow since you can only order one at a time from HTS, overpriced at most other online places or out of stock and there is very stiff competition to find at brick and mortar retail.

Now if we were to army build Torch or Ripper we would be set. When I need a fix, I add to my Cobra Flint army - at least those are easy to find!

Well I was going to ship these to Puerto Rico but my wife and I decided it would just get ruin there and so to make space and to get rid of the extra copies that I have I've decided to put them on Evil bay and Craig's list but before I do that I'm going to post them in all the forums that I usually go to. I'm trying to sell them all and not separate but who knows. I have other comic books that I want to get rid of but I"ll wait until I get back from P.R.

I also returned a UBP to the Deptford Target, when it goes back on the shelf it should scan in at $13 and change, didn't see any others there. Deptford TRU really needs to restock... I got a $50 gift card for xmas and haven't seen squat there, lol.

I have to agree with Unclassified. I weigh time spent traveling and money on gas vs the higher price of online shopping, Yeah, you might save a few bucks if you can find it at retail, but unless it's at a reasonably close place it may not be worth it. I have cut my hunt radius down immensely. Not to mention I got sick of eating up half a day and half a tank of gas with nothing to show for it. I was discouraged when it seemed everyone was finding CP W8 and I didn't. But patience paid off - I found them last night at Target.

This morning the same Target had a fresh case of W12. Walmart had two cases of revision Joes and TRU had nothing new.

I picked up my w8 (Resolute) comic packs there a few weeks ago... it's the only time I've seen anything of note there, but then again that's one of the last places I'll go simply because of the traffic mess.

Just for your info if your an army builder like me I found the new Troop builder case at a Target and it comes with a fixed Red Sigil Trooper with black mask instead so this would be the third single carded version of the Cobra Trooper

Have you seen them yet, or are you just anticipating? Hasbro should single card or multi-pack the PP viper - I am sure they would sell like hotcakes (especially if they have fixed hands).

brother i got my 5 packs in the mail yesterday an what a waste of 60 bux man. make sure you do find em in person, cus you might just realize it aint worth it. the viper we all were so happy to get, well to me it looks like that dvd cc head an a weak ass viper helmet thrown on. they are just hidious! the box is even cheesy man. in my book not worth gettin. if gijcc took returns i would send em back. ship wreck looks to funny. i have a feeling my joe collection will be comin to a hualt!

Sounds like the 5 packs are about on par with the greatest battles set. Hopefully we will see a wave or two of good stuff announced at Toyfair before the movie line kicks in. At least I should be able to start saving money.

On a different note, I finally picked up the Caspian castle for $20 at Marshall's. I couldn't pass it up at that price. Hard to believe retail is $60....

I found an Eel tonight at Woodbridge/Edison Target. Looks like they must have had 3-4 cases of W11 - I saw that many Pilot Scarletts and Airbornes. Eel had a bent card, but I will be opening him anyway. Also saw Best of 80's and POD DVD packs and W2 Comabt Heroes. Rattler and 2 Joe Conquests were there too.

Mantua Target had the last 2 sets of comic packs, the new wave 4 (5-pack Joes on comic/TV cards) revision, and fixed-wrist Clutch/Vamp and Breaker/RAM. No sign of the new jet repaints. I picked up the new trooper, red mask on the card/black mask figure, but realized it's the same as the original 5-pack Trooper. I'm planning on returning it... if anyone wants it lemme know, the card is warped though.

I noticed the fixed wrist Clutch and Breaker at Target East Brunswick last night as well. I have to take another look at how much of an improvement Tiger Force Duke is over slit wrist Duke. Then again I can always buy new and return older (unopened).

I was at Mantua (Sewell) Target on Saturday and picked up the Tiger Rat and the PP Conquest. I saw a few new comic packs but passed on them. They also had some of Wave 4 figures like Roadblock, Scarlett, Duke, and Gung-Ho. I picked them up a few days because I hadn't picked them up before.

I went to the Deptford Toys R Us and I saw the new Cobra and Joe five packs. The new SRO packs, some old two packs, Rippers, Dukes, Gung-Hos, Roadblocks, and they still have some Firefly vs Greenshirts. They also had two Firebats and I think a Sharc. That was all I saw though.

swung by the Burlington stores (TRU, Target, WM) on my way home today. only things of interest were the new 5-packs (about 3 of each), new DVD 4-pack and resolute Duke and CC at the TRU. Target had 2 of the Quick Kick DVD packs (forget which set that is).

PitViper - Ever think of dio-stories? A bit more limited than drawn comics, but you likely have most of the raw materials. It just takes some imagination. Plus I have seen some fan comics - interesting, but the artwork always is second to the story - not many people have the time to do artwork on the scale a comic requires.

I did some hunting today. Joe/Cobra 5 packs at TRU in East Brunswick. I also had two Cobra divers in my hands but convinced myself I had enough already and put them back. Tough being a compulsive buyer. Also found Resolute comic packs in abundance at Walmart North Brunswick, but I already have them and the 12.88 price tag turned me off from getting a spare. A little distance away from the Joe pegs, I found Resolute 5 Packs. I picked one up and left the other. I wasn't going to get this, but it looks so much better in person. I just don't want to feel compulsed to army build any of them

Yeah Im thinking of that too, I know it would be much easier. Im just such a nut about plot outline and story telling and those stories are pretty involved, I have to think of a way to capture the details with a dio.

I found a Cobra Diver this morning at TRU in Livingston..seriously, I think TRU is starting to blow, I got the Diver and Blowtorch, they were the last of those figures..everything else was Dreadnocks and SE...and its the same thing at TRU in Totowa, Dreadnks central! Minus Zartan of course the only one I dont have and really want.

I saw a couple Zartans at my local target (East Brunswick) this past week. Probably gone by now, although I figure that's out of your range.

Drawn comics or dio stories both need the same outlining/storyboarding. And Dio stories can have more limitations. But the concept of it makes me feel like I am doing something more with the Joes than simply collecting them. Sort of a way to 'play' with them creatively and share it with whomever wants to read. Now that the 25th line is about to go on hiatus and my hunting is nearly at a halt I may be able to try my hand at some dio-stories...

I grabbed one out and started looking at it and a woman came over and said "sir you cant open these boxes" i said I didnt it was already open and I want this, and she said it wasnt counted yet and I need to put it back. so I threw it on the floor and left. I expect HTS will probably restock Sting Raiders at some point, but they may sell out quick as a lot of people are still looking. Just have to keep an eye out and be ready to jump on it.

i never seen either of em in retail as well.. but side note for oc fellas, tr target got the new jets one of each, an brick target got 2 of each an both targets got the res 5 pack an the joe 5 packs, an tr tru has them both as well.. but on the target pegs there's alot of air bournes an cobra flints, para vipers , an baz troopers,an just stuff most of us dont need!! just wanted to let you guys know if you are in need of any of that crap! i dint see any eels or red emb black mask troopers! why? cus our stores suck , they never have what we need!!!

i only seen one trooper in the wild, an it was hidden, an i snatched it. my buddy in indiana grabbed 2 for me so i can meet my quota, now just in need of a eel, an 10 black mask red sigil troopers, an im thoro after that.. from then on i will be just grabbin what i can use extra of when i come accrossed em. im actually lookin forward to the break we are gettin, it's like school lettin out lol..

I also saw FANGs at Walmart North Brunswick and TRU that I passed on - I already have enough of them. I just saw 18 Cobra Flints on the racks at Target East Brunswick! A bunch of other peg warmers - Pilot Scarlet, Cobra Bazooka trooper, Paraviper and Airborne as well...

i hear of this all accross the states.. that is strange man. you can check the date code on the back.. not sure what to check for, but if someone has one of them cards on hand they can give you their code. mine are all up on the wall so there aint a chance i can help. someone on this thread might beable to explain the code to you an what number means the old stock.. sorry i cant be of more assistance

my area seems similar to yours (assuming they are different areas, of course). after the last cases of the troop builder wave cleared out, there have just been the same old peg warmers out there: old stuff at WM (Bazooka, Hawk, Wild Bill, etc.), more recent stuff at Targets (Mutt, Airborne, Glenda, Cobra Flint).

Good luck if you can find a Sting Raider online - I got a few early on from HTS, where they last about 5 minutes. I have read some people have come across them at Target lately (though not in NJ). I found one in TRU this week but that was the first and only in a long time. Keep an eye out - they do seem to be popping up
