Skystrikers aren't supposed to hit the shelves until 7/29 if I read right somewhere on the Tank, so they hold them in the back rooms until then unless we ask nicely.

I grabbed one from Target Milltown today. It always seemed so much bigger when I was little.... But still, awesome to have one.

yeah, i can't wait to get one, this will be my first sky striker ever. alot of the stuff that came out for the 25th was my first time owning it. that's what sucked me into this shit, i come accrossed it by accident on the internet one day and all hell broke loose at the age of 31 and started buying toys, and buying em by the loads for a gigantic dio.. here i still am buying shit to have a awesome gi joe collection displayed like a joeseum.. i wanna add some trains too, garden scale is the closest i'm gonna find from what i've read and been told.

I've had a solid weekend of Joe findings. First, I got my Skystriker from Target in South Brunswick. They didn't have them out yet, but I manned up and asked a very helpful guy to get one from the back, gave him the dcpi number and he grabbed one. This thing is awesome! It's huge, looks great, and feels pretty rugged. It took me an hour and a half to put the decals on it though. I didn't even do the bottom, or the missiles.

This morning I took a ride to Walmart in Hamilton, I was hoping that the pegs were still crammed with wave 6. They were, sort of. I grabbed the last Viper, I was a little disappointed because I wanted 2. I'm still looking for 1 if anyone wants to help me out. They still have tons of Rock Vipers, Crazy Legs, Croc Masters, and Temple Guardian Snake Eyes. I guess they're the new pegwarmers!

Lastly, I went to Ross and TJ Maxx in Lawrenceville. Ross had a few goodies, I didn't get anything because I have them already. I left a Ghost Hawk and the POC jeep whose name escapes me behind. Then, holy TJ Maxx!!! They had a Firebat, Sharc, Ram Cycle/ Flight Pod, and Vamp with Double Clutch. I grabbed the latter two, and left the Firebat and Sharc behind.

This makes me wonder, how much 25th Anniversary stuff was left unsold at regular retail? What will show up next? ROC stuff at Ross is one thing, but Flight Pods and Ram Cycles? Did I mention that they were $12.99? What a great time to be a Joe collector.

Also, let me state again how sweet the Skystriker is. Very.

I just got back from Walmart and Target in Princeton. Target had the new 12 inch figures, and the old Arctic Destro and Dusty. I was hoping that Walmart would have some wave 1 stuff, there was a thread about the Recondo/ Firefly figs being found (I could use those ones), they didn't though. They did have one Viper, an Iron Grenadier, and a Doom Cycle (clearanced at $9.00), all of which I grabbed.

i got lucky during the hasbro online sdcc fiasco and managed to order both zaranas and starscream. but on that day, i placed a second order for a 2nd pink zarana so that i could have 1 to open.
my orders got flagged, and i was real worried that my first order wouldnt go through. so i called up hasbro, sorted it out, and my order got released on that day. even still, it took well over a week for my package to ship.
but then, haza! both the hasbro and the mattel sdcc packages arrived on my doorstep on the same day.

Target brick had 3 skystrikers today, first time I've seen them there

Stopped in TRU on Rt 1 across from Woodbridge CTR...grabbed Masterpiece Rodimus Prime...sweet figure, easily the best figure to take out of package but is easy to put back in near prestine condition.

And a great likeness....he has a ton of great gear...two pistols that convert an merge into Rodimus's rifle welder hand attachment....spinning blade hand attachment Matrix and transforming Targetmaster gun.

BUT that having been said he has some issues....notably the transformation is not difficult but unless you get the feet joints in just the right position which is easy once you figure out how to do it, but is not something easily noticable at first. This foot joint causes the tucking of Roddy's hands into the car body and the arrangement of his pipes to not fit very well.

It CAN be done, but it took me awhile to realize just what needed to be moved more before it worked out okay...even then its a rough fit.

Once you figure it out it gets easier with each transforming but I can bet a lot of people will be annoyed by it.

Also the Matrix does not fit into Roddy's chest....he comes with a smaller version that does fit in there...but the full size one does not.


Otherwise a great figure.

Still looking for a MPHR myself. I got the Japanese v1, and whatever problems Hasbro's may have with transformation, it HAS to be better than that piece of crap. It's like they never QC'd any of the production samples beyond, "ooh, pretty."

On topic, been seeing Skystrikers pretty much everywhere in my hunting grounds (Deptford/Cherry Hill/Moorestown/Warrington PA). With any luck the new figures and bravos will be the same way.

Haha. I probably should. I think a secret collector or scalper (not sure) shops at Walmart/ TrU. Numerous times I've seen valuable MU figs disappear between Thursday and Friday. I don't collect MU, but I stay up on it for some reason, and whenever they get a fresh case, the desirable figs are gone within hours.

I'll post my findings if there are any.

well, value city is in bayonne, but accrossed the street is jc, i'll be in bayonne for like 2 more weeks, i have to do the inside and the owner has trouble picking colors, so it prolongs the job, then do the outside. i don't go there often, every few years i'd say.. i paint all the value city furniture stores, and do some ashley furniture stores they own, i have 2 ashleys coming up out in pa.

well, value city is in bayonne, but accrossed the street is jc, i'll be in bayonne for like 2 more weeks, i have to do the inside and the owner has trouble picking colors, so it prolongs the job, then do the outside. i don't go there often, every few years i'd say.. i paint all the value city furniture stores, and do some ashley furniture stores they own, i have 2 ashleys coming up out in pa.

Most Wal-Marts in SJ are all crap too. When the new waves hit all the Army Builders are gone instantly. I think they dissolve from the box when it is opened. However, if you want 5000 blowtorches or hawks, have at it.

Also, the Targets in SJ DO have the Captain America double packs. The exclusive one with the Cosmic Red Skull and the seemingly lame Arctic Cap is a gem. The Skull is fantastic, and the Cap is actually pretty decent when you lose the Evil Kinevil helmet. was out and about yesterday running errands. stopped at a few places.

target on 1&9 (north bergen i believe) just put out 2 fresh cases of the newest wave of MU. normally i pick up MU stuff for my brother, but he recently bowed out of collecting MU. otherwise, nothing new joe-wise.

nothing joe-wise was the trend for all of the stops: target 1&9, walmart 1&9, walmart secaucus, TRU secaucus.

but then i get to walmart in garfield. this walmart is only about a year old and never carried joes. with the latest walmart reset, they started selling joes (about 2 weeks ago or so). unfortunately, theyve only stocked revision cases thus far. yesterday, they were down to their last figure, but lo and behold, they had 1 VTOL and 1 vamp. snagged the vtol.

it was a good joe day. i also received my 30th ann wave1 package from smalljoes.com in the mail. normally, i use BBTS, but in this case i used smalljoes. damn. they use no bubblewrap. just a few pieces of styrofoam popcorn in a box that barely fit everything. half of the cards were totally bent. im still not sure why i didnt order from BBTS, but i learned my lesson...

On a related note, I just back from making my rounds. Walmart Princeton has no new Joes, but got their weekly case of MU. They had Hulk, Daredevil, Green Goblin, and some others. I left them all because I don't do MU.

TJ Maxx had a ton of Joe stuff, mechs, sharks, fireboats, Ram Cycles, and Vamps (25th). I grabbed a Deviant and a Bat.

Nothing at TrU, although I have a good feeling that they'll get 30th figs in soon.

I'm looking forward to Octobers NJCC, and I would recommend going.

Not sure if I will make NJCC, but I would definately recomend going. Only place to find certain items. The Ross & other local stores will be raided by other tankers. (Definately by the sellers the night before since they are already in the area.)

The new wave is cool, I blew $60 on it too. I passed on Stalker because I already have the more iconic 25th version and I don't have room for another. I also passed on the Grenadiers because I have two of the POC ones. I got two Hazard Vipers and they're posed in between my two 25th Alley Vipers, the orange on the four figs looks pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the Renegades Snake Eyes, I think he's going to replace the 25th version on my shelves. I was a completist for awhile, but now I'm getting picky. Good times though.

The new wave is cool, I blew $60 on it too. I passed on Stalker because I already have the more iconic 25th version and I don't have room for another. I also passed on the Grenadiers because I have two of the POC ones. I got two Hazard Vipers and they're posed in between my two 25th Alley Vipers, the orange on the four figs looks pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the Renegades Snake Eyes, I think he's going to replace the 25th version on my shelves. I was a completist for awhile, but now I'm getting picky. Good times though.

Speaking of the new Vamp, Walmart Princeton has one, along with a Black Dragon and what appears to be a new wave of MU(x23, Sub Mariner, Cap, etc.). TrU Lawrenceville has nothing, as usual.

Has anyone seen the dc vs. Motu pack with She Ra and Supergirl? I'd like that.

I grabbed one, love it and the SB Delta. I had been on the fence about the PoC Vamp, I like the overall design but hated the ridiculous bright red suspension and had no use for the driver. The 30th version fixed all that.

Agreed. I had two of the poc ones. I customized one and kept one stock. When I picked up the 30th one, I gave my 6 year old the other Poc one. Stripped of all the parts of course

I found both the Black Dragon and the VAMP (1 each) at Walmart in Piscataway grabbed the Dragon and would have taken the VAMP but someone stole the figure so I passed...but I did find a second Hazard Viper at TRU in Woodbridge.

exactly.. best way to keep down on the space is by opening. i try to open vehicles and store em in bins. the thing is bins start to add up. i have a closet in a room that is packed with all motuc releases and 2 or 3 106 qt bins full of vehicles. i have vintage in the attic,that probably aint to smart after all the money i spent on them. but there is no room.

but then i have 30 vehicles in box under my bed..

After I finish my bathroom, my next project is a custom shelf for my room.

Basically I will build a wall to wall shelf along one wall that will be about stomach high, below it will be storage for comic book long boxes, and the Defiant.

Shelf level will be the Flagg.

Above that I will build storage shelves to put totes on that will go to the ceiling.

You guys should head down to Sayreville and check out what i did for my storage issues. I just spent 4 days straight transforming my 14' by 20' garage into the ultimate toyroom/mancave. I got peg boards for the walls to display the MOC stuff and waist high tables around the whole perimeter to display the opened stuff. Its coming out awesome.

So if your anywhere near Sayreville come check it out, i would love to give the tour.

Im in the process of ebaying all the stuff that I didn't open. Im over the MOC completist thing, thankfully, so it's all going away. I just have 2 4 foot long shelves and an empty bookcase dedicated to displaying plastic crack. Now I'm only buying what I plan to open, and it's truly liberating!

Found a Vamp at TRU in East Brunswick. There is a single Stalker hanging on a peg, I found a Steel Brigade earlier in the week.

Thats funny, i was at the East Brunswick TRU at about 8 30 and saw that stalker and vamp myself. The TRU on rt 1 in woodbridge had Hazards and stalkers and grenadiers as of 11 this morning.
