That's why I go out of my way to head down there. I found a good amount of exclusives down there a few years back, and even now they are one of the few Walmarts I know of that even has a Joe section. If it weren't for BBTS, I would be wasting a lot of time and gas....

i'm up visiting my hometown for the weekend...stopped by walmart (well, several) and saw about 8 shock troopers at rt 22 in union. this may not be a big deal in nj, but down in richmond walmart dosen't even carry joes anymore, so i thought it was cool. also grabbed a skydive and shadow tracker since we don't have those where i live either.

After yesterday's extremely disappointing hunt in the Woodbury-Deptford area, I followed Hellion's post about the Berlin Wal-mart on 73 near All Things Fun! So, after my wife's ultrasound on Baby Numero Dos we stopped by and I hit it big. 3-4 Shock troopers on the rack, 2-3 of the "good" Snake Eyes, plenty of Crazy Legs, a Rock Viper, an IG, some Jungle Vipers, and the SE temple guardian.

After much deliberation, and some help from my 3 year old, I left with the Shock Trooper and the good SE. I just wasn't feelin' the Crazy Legs. Now, just hunting down a Low-Light (thank god for Ebay and the intra-net! ;).

Went there Saturday morning and got the only 2 Rock Vipers left. No IGs there. Also got 2 Crazylegs that day.

Yeah I think I was because I got two on Thursday I also grabbed 6 IG's and 1 Rock Viper. I left A LOT of IG's and Rocks like 10 each...I'm just suprised that with all the negative reaction about these guys that they'd be peg warmers....but gone....I was pleasently suprised.

the new wave has hit walmrt in manville.only 1 case was out. even though i ordered from bbts i still took the 2 ig's n' vipers and the se( i want to make all 4 heads).if my kid does not want the doubles i will sell , at cost to whomever wants to come n' get them. i left behind the 2 rock, croc, n' crazy legs behind.

Driving to Manville probably costs me a gallon of gas, so considering how many times I would go and find nothing or sloppy seconds it is cheaper to pay 2x the price for a figure and be done with it.

I went to target in Hackensack, target at the BErgen Center in paramus and toysrus on route 4 paramus. The toysrus has LOTS of new MU comic packs and they also have the Giant xmen sets in abundance. They also have 1 dark galactus and 5 regular galactus as well...

The pegs were pretty much bare otherwise (I'm thinking an arctic Destro or two, but in all honesty I've stopped "seeing" certain figures), so I'm guessing one of two things happened:

- New wave(s) came in and they got cleared out
- Someone returned part of their online order

I think the biggest problem is they send this stuff out to store in one shot, a couple of case...I'd estimate 2 or 3 of each wave. We run out, nail it and then were done until next wave arrives.

I think both us and Hasbro need to re-adjust our thinking on distribution and acquisition...clearly stores just are not ordering quantites of Joe that keep us happy...and I get why, I mean some of this stuff just sits there...see Arctic Destro as perfect example, but I think Hasbro needs to use HTS better...if stores aren't ordering large quantites than we need them available online.

To me the answer would be to send the stores what they order and then do what stores like BBTS do...offer each wave one of each figure for sale at HTS...and then Troop Builder cases...the last wave we saw at retail had Viper, IG's and Rock Vipers, I think if we saw say a case of each offered at HTS people wouldd buy them...hell I think I'd do it just to avoid the running around hunting at this point.

Hoy's is a 5 and dime store in the tourist towns. There's 1 in stone harbor and avalon. The walmart on rt 9 in Rio grande has no joes. The Ross next to it had 1 lonely lava pod

lol I was at Kmart a few weeks back and they still had ROC at clearance for $7, and Alphas for $12...what the hell is wrong with Kmart?

Makes me glad when I worked there that I would buy their bonus packs, open them, take the Alley Viper, and then return the 2 pack...yes Kmart had not figured that trick out back in the JvsC time.

Last year I was trying to hunt down the RoC Water Moccasin on clearance, and it seemed that one store would have stacks of them for weeks, then they'd disappear. The Dark of the Moon stuff is pretty lame...don't get me wrong there are SOME decent figures from that line...Powerglide...Hatchet, the helicoptor from the voyager class whose name escapes me is pretty cool, but on the overall the line really isn't great. Lots of yet another version of Prime or Bumblebee or Barricade or Starscream.

The few new characters out in the line like the Wreckers really aren't too great, and the basic figures that come with humans are TERRIBLE.

Even Shockwave is at best meh.

Now if you mean the ever name changing line of Classics, Generations Universe there are some great figures in that line....IF....your lucky. Their not easy to find, Wheeljack, Perceptor, Wreck Gar, Warpath, Grapple, Windcharger, Kup, Scourge, Laser Prime and Thundercracker are all awesome, but they really are a first come first serve prospect...odds are if you find them the case was just put out and you shouldn't pass because a few hours later they will be gone and they don't restock often or maybe at all.

If you don't have any of the previous movie versions, the deluxe Starscream is pretty awesome. Great articulation, great representation of the character, and a good price for a deluxe (9.50 at Walmart). I also think Megatron is a solid figure too, especially compared to the other movie Megatrons. Shockwave is serviceable to the character but does not possess an Earth vehicle mode.

I grabbed a Walmart deluxe Prime today with some change I've accumulated and despite his lack of paint on dull silver plastic, hes another good version of the character and fun to fiddle around with.

I hit a few Targets today...nothing.

the target by my house ( bridgewater ), has no skystikers out yet. i did go to the tuesday morning ( or whateverthehell its called), by my house ( montgomery) and i got lava pod and rockslide, 2 of 4 aint bad. will try to get the other 2 at njcc in oct. they did have 2 mars trooper packs there.

The Skystriker is showing "limited availability" at Target in Princeton. I should be able to get over there around 3 today. Hopefully I can grab one.

Target on Rte 35 in Middletown had 2 Skystrikers this afternoon. They were on the bottom shelf under the Star Wars stuff.

I didn't take any.

Found one Skystriker in Target Milltown

I can honestly say this is the best thing Hasbro has made for the Modern Joe.

If I can I plan on buying a few more.

On a personal note ‎28 years ago I assembled & put the stickers on the 1983 Skystriker in the back room at grandmas house over the years I have bought the house & converted that back for my collectables, today I picked up the 2011 Skystriker brought it home & started putting it together it wasn't until I hit the 'No Step' stickers that I realized, I was repeating history in the very same room completely unplanned.
Fate anyone?

Funny how a little sticker brings back memories. And those were alot of stickers to put on this one. I did better than I did in 84 though

I thought I missed out again. Went to South Brunswick Target, no Sky Strikers. I guess I should have asked for one. I did get the Cobra mech suit for $10.48 though. They had one if the Joe ones for the same price too, I left that.

the one i found was sitting on the bottom shelf all by its lonesome. that target's toy aisle has been looking pitiful. its been the same 6 arctic destros sitting for months. i was totally shocked to find anything new in that aisle. when i saw it, it was almost like the clouds parted, a beam of sun shone down and a choir sang...

Snagged one today from the Delran Target. Checked the shelf, nothing. Asked the cute chick at the CS desk, and she sent someone off to get it when the dude in the stock room declined to answer several pages. Now my question is... what the hell do I do with it? I don't have room to display it, and unlike the Rattler I can't even admire it in its cage. The Sky Striker was one of my favorite toys as a kid, and now I have another, and... and hellion, i know what you're saying, i ordered 6 of em, and been thinking where the hell am i gonna put these for the time being. i'm not in a situation where i can open and display em, and i'm running out of room for storing em.. i got 6 wpk jets in my attic, and been thinking that ain't to smart of an idea. i need to get up there an check on em. i'd be pissed if they got ruined from this damn summer heat.. especially today, huh guys? i just walked home from a job site i was on, cause it was hot, not really sure what to do there and was getting frustrated, so i left my brother and buddy my van and split, lol.. i hate the job site, i spent months on it, and now i'm just disgusted with it so i bounced. and the walk was hot, but luckily a chick i know seen me and gave me a ride, or i would still be walking rt9.
