I'm probably the only guy in here, aren't I? I'm reluctant to post because there are so many "adults" that get this stuff before I do. They seem to have a neverending supply of time (no job?) and cash (job?), which doesn't make any sense to me. I buy these primarily for my son, so when I find a couple it's a really big deal. It makes me really happy to share my favorite childhood toy with my son.

I'm also reluctant to post because I don't like to empowering people like this "Bobman" guy I hear so much about. Apprently "Bobman" lives here in the Wichita area.

So with great reluctance, here I go... i'm trying to be a good Joe fan.

TARGET -

I did manage to find all of Wave 5 except the black Snake Eyes, today at Super Target on 21st. They only had one case. First I've ever seen of them. So I would assume that those will start coming in on a regular basis now. Here comes the fight for the Crimson Guards...

I wonder if an employee snagged the black Snake Eyes, or if one of the guys I see up there regularly? I have the figures strung out across my son's bed along with the Star Wars exclusive comic packs I snagged today too. My boy is going to flip out when he gets home. I'm so excited.

Wichita Wal-Marts - all I have seen are comic 2 packs at the one at Pawnee and Broadway, East Kellogg, and North Maize. Derby had nothing at all, the new one up north had nothing when I was in there, but West Kellogg had 3 cases of wave 7 and 3 IG Destros last week.

Has any one in KS had any luck with wave 8 or the new comic packs? My WM still full the older comic packs along with a platoon of Vipers, Wild Bills and Snake Eyes. My wife has to go Topeka tomorrow hopefully she will have luck.

I went hunting today in Wichita. Nothing unfortunately. I would gladly take some of those vipers though. I got what I could find, but we are bone dry now. It takes about a week to two weeks for anything to show up out here once it hits the west coast.

I found all of wave 8 today. No comic packs though. I worry less about those. The comic packs are falling off the pegs here so i assume it will take some time. Doubled our viper army today to boot! They are sitting on my sons bed right now. He will freak out! Good times.

Only found 1 stripe CC and 1 Viper today at WM so at least in know wave 8 is starting to hit my AO. They still have plenty of WB, SE and Vipers (wave 7). I will try again early tomorrow.

Nothing in terms of new comic pack in Cowley County, but did manage to snag 2 more vipers (one 25th and one cartoon logo) in Ark City they also had 1 CC with helmet stripe. If any of the Wichita Tankers come across the comic packs and a pair of Major Bludds please pm me.

I hit my WM again this morning the only thing they had was same wave 7 guys and the one wave 8 Viper I saw yesterday I will try my luck tomorrow in Manhattan.

My closest stores are in Chanute and Independence, ks. Bot are Wal-Marts and both are pretty bad about instock.

I saw wave 7 a few weeks ago and only had enough for 2 vipers. They had all the rest but I figured I would come back. Have not seen anything for at least 2 weeks. Just peg warmers of Duke and Cobra Comander, and Scarlett. Comic 2 packs are falling off the pegs though. They have several Fred/Scar Face though. Would be a good place for a army building needs.

I can vouch for Goodstufftogo as well. They used to come in to the KB Toys I ran, in Olathe, and pick up 12 inch Joes nobody really cared about. They are super nice. I have ordered from them several times over the years and have always had excellent transactions.

I did not pick any up to day but plenty of Vipers in Topeka today. I found them at WM, Target, K mart and TRU if you guy are looking.

We've got Vipers flooding pegs here too. My son and I have our 20 man army built. Four fire teams of five. Grenadier, 3 Riflemen and Support. If/ when they come out with Viper "officers" (which we just use as NCOs) we can do five teams then.
Trying to get the same thing going with the Snow Serpents, but we only have 4 right now. To bad Snow Serpents and BATs aren't flooding pegs. I hope they get things going with those Paratroopers and Bazooka troopers when the time comes. But, with the rising prices we may have to reduce it to two teams.
Right now we're looking for the Firefly/ Storm Shadow Comic Pack, the Wave 1 Vehicles, plus whatever Snow Serpents and BATs we can find.
I'm sure we are all in the same boat though.

Had a great day today, it all started when I picked up wave 4 CP order from WM.com. then my wife had to go to Topeka and call me to let me know she found wave 5 minus both versions of Destro/IG along with TRU Firefly w/green shirts (I hate the whole idea of green shirts) and the CG troop builder. She picked both CP.

Are there any tankers in Manhattan area? Starting the 1st will start hitting that Target looking for the Rattler and Conquest. I am not greedy and just want one of each and more than happy to share information about the hunt.

Had a good day at lunch today and hit the TRU on 95th in OP.

I grabbed the two SRO's I was lacking (CG and Joe) and also picked up 2x of the CG 5-packs.

There was 1x CG and 1x Joe SRO's, as well as 4x of the CG packs and 6x or so of the Firefly packs left.

I was finally able to pick up my 4th Snow Serpent today. Has anyone heard any good news from your local Target’s about tomorrow? I checked the Target fined at a store and all I get is out of stock for the state.

I scored a set of planes too today. I stopped posting. These sighting threads, to me, just facilitate scalpers. They lurk all over the site. In Wichita i have to fight for every scrap i find out here. Competing with old ladies and everything. People are so damn desperate. I just want my son to have the new things. Wichita is a tough town to find stuff in. I check it when I go home to Dodge but there always seems to be nothing. Dodge on the otherhand had some claws and fangs after thanksgiving.

Went to the new Wal-Mart today in Lawrence over at 6th and Wak. The toy dept is much smaller than at the SuperCenter, so selection was a bit slim. The only Joe stuff they had was a couple pegs for 3/3/4 figures and all they had was a single Wave 13 case.

I'm in SE Kansas. As far as selection goes it is very limited. I have noticed over the past few years the toy section in general has gotten much smaller in all my stores. All they seem to have are kiddy toys and not so much aimed at collectors.

I have some luck though at finding Joe's, but nothing to raise a fuss about.

What gets me is that they totally have done away with the model car section and model car paints. Now I have to either order online or travel really far to find what I need. I am sure as heck not going to use that craft paint that had ever again. That stuff sucks.

Luckily my brother found a Cobra Rattler and GI Joe Conquest X-30 for me over the weekend. So now I finally have one of each.

If anyone out there here in Kansas finds those same jets (the original color ones-first release) on clearance let me know. I would pay you whatever your costs are. Retail plus shipping and $5.00 for your time and gas. I want to have one of each for customs.

Same here, that is the only one from the first two waves I'm missing. Only one per case so the gettin' is slim until Hasbro opens the flood gates. All the Wal-marts supposedly have a ton of stock in the back up to wave 4, so hopefully there will be plenty to go around. But Wichita is always a week or so behind. Competing for toys just makes me want to vomit.

Wal-Mart on S. Iowa put out a drop pallet of joe stuff. One side was small vehicles, the second side was the ?? and the last two were figures. Not sure what waves were included, but selection was very limited. Mostly Duke, SE, SS.

So the Target by Towne East had all their Joe stuff out on Monday, Wednesday they packed it back up, and today it's back out. Geniuses.

So far Target has had it all. At least in KC. Toys R Us had stuff on an endcap (Including that Firefly) Still no signs of Helix which is really all I'm after at this point. (By the way that was the tru at quivira across from the mall.) Wal-Marts are continually sucking butt all over KC.

The Walmart on north Rock Rd. FINALLY put out their ROC stuff. I snagged the only Elite Viper and Flash that I saw. I left behind an Agent Helix, General Hawk, Cobra Eel, Pit Commando, and Crimson Viper. For the price of $7.88 I'll wait on the rest until I can find them at Target for nearly a dollar cheaper.

What route will you be taking? Either side of town has a tremendous number of each.

If you're coming down I-35 I'd go with the Super Target on E. 21st St. and the Walmart on N. Rock Road. I have the best luck finding stuff there.

It's not always scalpers to my dismay. Often, other collectors gobble them up to 'trade' for far more than their retail value.

Very cool, I might try that wednesday... I just hope the Spring 2012 stuff doesnt get cancelled. Kwinn and Data-Viper has already been delayed indefinately. So I hope the rest of them dont get the same treatment. Found the remnants of 30th Wave 1 at the Super Walmart in Shawnee KS. Picked up a 30th Trooper, 4 Vipers, and a Stalker. Left some Hazard Vipers, Stalkers, and IGs.

Hit Roeland Park Walmart as well, got whatever else I needed, and left more. I talked to the toy department staff while I was there, and they stated they had 192 more ordered (not sure how many cases that is) and that they will be monitoring it closely because of how briskly it sold. Because of that they put an end cap up, course the end cap faces the back of the stores (?!), not sure how brilliant that is, but anyway, if you go, make sure you go past the regular section. They did say they're trying to get permission to pull the Pirates crap, and give a four foot section in the regular aisle to the joes through to the end of holiday season. So take that as you will.
