Indiana G.I. Joe Sightings

After daily searching of Walmarts and Targets, I checked a local Kmart in Bloomington, IN and found one Flint and one Storm Shadow. Didn't imagine I'd find them at Kmart as they are normally pretty behind on things. I'm going to be keeping my eye out for the 5 packs.

Started out on the hunt 8:00am Saturday morning @ the Grantline Road KMart where I found exactly nothing but a big mess.

The Grantline WalMart yeilded a few beauties I didn't even know were coming out- new 12" GIJOE Adventure Team Re-Issues! They had Air Adventurer, Land Adventurer, Man of Action, GIJoe Adventurer and Sea Adventurer. @ 9.99 Each and retro cool in the original style box packaging, I just had to buy one of each. Several of each remained except for GIJoe Adventurer, of which I had bought the last one.

After the Indiana run I hit most Louisville stores starting out east on Westport Road and moving west-NO damn GIJoe 25th figures anywhere... (or any '08 Bumblebees or other new TF's)

At literally my last desperate stop, the Sears Essentials (KMart) on Dixie Highway, I struck a little gold. After searching all through toys, (@KMarts anything can be anywhere, the sloppy #$#@'s) I found, perched on a top shelf above die cast cars, exactly one GIJoe and one Cobra 25th Anniversary 5 Pack. I was giddy as a schoolgirl. They rock! And pleasantly they were 24.99 each, I expected the usual 2-5$ KMart overcharge.

Colder Soldier, I'm still planning on buying at least one more of each for myself but the next ones I find are yours and then I'll get seconds. (Hopefully I'll find a bunch at once):D

I went out again @1:00 this morning to WalMarts Clarksville, Wesport and Hubbards Lane- Nada. No GIJoe, no Transformers at all on any of the stores pallets. After finding the same stuff on the evening pallets of these 3 stores I surrendered for the evening and headed to White Castle. I'm finishing my large chocolate milkshake as I type... *burps*;)

I live in SW Indiana, Evansville to be exact. I have seen 1 25th thing here. It was at the new Target. They had one GI Joe box. That was it. TRU told me that they'll be in Frida, tomorrow, and Wal-Mart has no clue. There are 4 Wal-Marts within the area, a K-Mart, a TRU, and several Targets. I did find Snake Eyes at a TRU in Chicago, the only thing they had, and CC, SS and Cobra Officer at Wizard World Chicago for 10 per. It sucked paying a little extra, but at least I have them. Now, if I can just get Flint and that damn Cobra box, I'll be good. Of course, I want another of each to keep MISP and a few select figs for customizing.

I've been to 4 Walmarts, 3 Targets and 1 Kmart
these past 3 days, and nothing.

I even went at 6 am because one of the stupid Walmart workers said they should be in today,
but nope..nothing ..

Why is it so hard to find????

Yeah, This is getting ridiculous. I'm tired of driving to all the different stores only to find empty pegs. I'm glad I got wave 3 and 2 figs. from wave 2, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay scalper prices to get the rest I need. I have a feeling the next fiqs. to hit Walmart and Target will be wave 4 in Nov.

Worst comes to worst, I'll sell my small 25th collection and concentrate on my vintage collection. Speaking of which, anyone on here interested in trading vintage figs?

5-packs=yes, single figs=no for the Evansville area. There's a Walmart in IL that has a couple CC and one SE. I've seen a green stalker in E-ville but thats the only Wave 3 fig I've seen in store and that was a month or so ago.

I found Wave Five at the Wal-Mart in Lawrenceburg this afternoon. Almost didn't see them since I just saw a glimpse of red the first time I walked by and though it was the same red ninja that's been there for a week.

Everyone, go check your local Wal-Marts! The one in Clarksville IN today had about 10 cases of 25th! They had 3 cases of wave 5 (which I now own), plus plenty of Flints and Cobra Troopers I left behind. Maybe this is THE big shipment before JC's B-Day!

I'm impressed with all of W5 and I'm glad the figs are improving. It's great they all have the new "sitting down-battle crotch"!

kind of a late sighting (due to storms knocking out my power last nite) but at the east side target in evansville i found a case of wave 5 shortly after opening...could not believe my eyes...so start checking targets, hopefully they'll continue to get more in (now if they'd only get in wave 2 of the comic packs)..

i left a crimson guard and flash...but i went back today just to see what was left and it was just two hooded cc's and 2 shipwrecks...never did get around to checking the north side one...still dumbfounded at having found wave 5 just sitting there...

North side has 1x Shipwreck and hooded CC. They did have all of the Wave 1 Comic packs and Walmart on the west side had all the wave 1 comic packs except for the Hawk one.

This was definetly a luckier night for me. After I got done watching my man Anderson Silva unify the UFC middleweight and Pride welterweight championship belts, I headed over to the nearest Wal-Mart (Clarksville). They had their exclusive deluxe movie TFs and many cases of the new SW figs.

Oh yeah, they also had some Armored CCs, Torpedos, and Rock n' Rolls. So go check your local WMs.

I have been all over the Fort Wayne area in the past week, both Targets still had some of the exclusives although significantly less Hiss' (although it looks like both have restocked at least once maybe twice), also at least at the Stellhorn Rd location they have been moved back to the aisle from the checkout. As for carded figs only some peg warmers. Out of the 4 Wal-Marts, only the Apple Glen location had anything to speak of, a good mix of waves 5-6 and perhaps the rumored troop builder asst as well as there were troopers, air troopers, and CGs out the wazoo, also most all of the comic packs as well. The Illinois Rd Meijer had a case plus of wave 4 (minus any good ones of course), but the Lima Rd store was desolate.Plan to check TRU again tomorrow but still have not seen the 3 packs and have only seem the 5 packs 3-4 times and none within the last month.

East side Tar-jay has Wave 8. Slapped down my $5 off coupon and got 3 Vipers and Python Officer. Still had a couple Vipers and a bunch of the rest. Wave 7, except for Duke, has vanished from the stores I've been checking. Nada on the clearanced vehicles because there's non to be marked down.

I'm waiting until more places have sightings of them and/or people are having employees check in the back for them and they actually have them in back. I had employees check in the back the week after they were hitting the west coast and it proved successful. I don't feel the need to have these before everyone else anyway. My army can wait.

Heh heh....yeah, people think they are getting blessed as of late. KuuKuuSon over on JOhio told me that stores are getting cases of W7 and W9 at the same time. So what we're all finding are W7 revision cases. Since no one is looking for HISS Drivers any longer (but us collectors) we're finding them easier to acquire. Thumbs up to you Dave! Two is a great find still!!

Hello, I'm normally a Michigan guy but I find myself working in Indiana this week! That being said:

Walmart- Huntington?- nothing worth mentioning
Walmart- Wabash- 1 VAMP w/Clutch
Walmart- Kokomo- 1 complete set of vehicles. I saw them being put out at about 3:45. They put them on the top shelf above the Star Wars toys pegs, not the Joes? They are placed sideways so hopefully someone on here notices them. As far as singles & CP's, nothing worth mentioning.

1x Black Ninja Leader Guy – Is that supposed to be SS?
1x Snow Serpent – tossed in with some random Legos. WOO HOO! Man he is cool!

And the gold mask Destro comic pack, which was the only new comic pack in sight.

Needless to say, it was very exciting to saddle up to the Joe pegs and find a Torpedo staring back at me. :)

On the black ninja, the card says Storm Shadow, but really it is a homage to an Argentina figure. However, you make make him whatever you want. It is your Joe universe! ;)

Hello, passing through your state again!

Walmart in Huntington off 24- Lots of Wave 9, including a few BATS & Snow Serpents. Looks like you have a card bender though, the ones sitting out didn't look too good, but it's the first time I've seen a BAT in a store. Hope somebody gets it quick! Besides that they had vehicles & DVD packs, no new CP's though.

Walmart in Wabash. Zip. Zero. Zilch. They were putting out other toys, so maybe they are going to stock the pegs? They had lots of space for Joes, just nothing up.

It took them a while, but Meijer's has put out their Joes. I found a NEW Artic Cobra, which is a rare find. So collectors should checkout Meijer's in their area.

Well it's been a month since the last post.
Just went to Target and Toys R Us today. Saw remnants of wave 7,8,9 single packs. Picked up the Destro/IG and Tripwire/CC comic packs. Left a Falcon/Nem Enf since already found one earlier.
Hope the exclusives show up soon.
Target still had a HISS and Trouble Bubble/RAM pack. Walmarts still overstocked on old comic packs.

I've actually called that Target twice today since the website still says 'Limited Availability,' and most people are saying that the stores only have space for three jets on the shelves but usually keep more in the back (i.e. a Conquest that would go great with my new Rattler), but they keep telling me they don't have anything.

Yeah, your right. With space only for 3 on the shelves, they do keep all extras in the back. I phone-nagged enough until they went and found the other Conquest, then I went and picked it up. Today I went out to the Bashford Manor store and picked up their 1 set. So from what I can tell, 1 case = 1 set. That sucks. The boxes are quite large so most stores won't even get more than 1 set per week. That's unless some endcaps are gonna get made for them. Let's hope.

Kohl's in E-ville has Wave 10. They price match, too. Regular 9.99 on sale for 7.99 plus you can price match Target's price of 4.99. Comic Packs are 12.99 reg., they had Wave 6 instock. All the cards had their silly little sticker on them making them prime candidates for opening. I bought 3x BATs and 3x Paravipers. East side had 4x cases and West side had about 1x case but I didn't buy any from the West one.

Went to Kohl's in Brownsburg and found all of Wave 10 except for Bazooka Trooper and Variant Wraith. I picked up two, Croc Master And Para Viper and got 15% or $3.00. Interesting to me that Kohl's has these and Target and Walmart don't. I do think they will show up at Target and Walmart in time for Holiday shopping.

wow, thats all thats left? they really did have a crapload yesterday, multiples of each figure. i only picked up one of the eels, zartan, paratrooper, and that guy from mask.

oddly, though, all of the cards on all of them were bent so badly that the bubbles were actually coming off on a few of them. i have never seen cards destroyed so badly.

cant believe they're all gone, though. apparently north side still has the revision figures on the shelves. still hoping someone puts out some belated wave 10 (since kohls on the east side shot me down twice on the price match).

I've never heard of AP Collictibles, I went on Saturday, and that place is FANTASTIC! Full pegs of the latest line of Joes, DVD packs, and the Extreme Conditions packs! The prices were a little higer than Wal-Mart and Target, but not by that much.

I was able to find Python Crimson Guard, 2 Cobra Troopers and Bazooka Trooper at AP Collectibles. Over at Walmart I finally found the Sharc and then at the Target I found Sgt Airborne and Matt Trakker. All of this was in Plainfield Today and Yesterday.

If a Target sold out of the UBP's at 54 dollars is the price still in the system or do they completely get rid of it? I thought about trying to return the one I got for 54 and buying back at 38 but I didn't know how that works. I might just try calling the store to see if they have it in the system and the price.

Target in Clarksville,In had 2 each Python Conquest and Tiger Rat this morning. I passed on both but Colder Soilder bought one of the Conquest jets.

Target on First Ave in Evansville had one Python Conquest and Tiger Rat. I passed. They also have Hard Master and Snake Eyes comic pack and other newer ones. No resolute though.

southport rd target still has a tiger rat (crushed box) i passed, and target on st rd 135 has the VvV dvd pack, 19.99, better than TRU at 24.99....walmart on countyline is still dead for joes, dont know whats goin on there
