I found some CGs at toysrus in duluth along with the duke and wave1 of the comic packs. There are some cobra soldiers at the target in duluth also.

Someone over at Joesightings reported finding Armored Cobra Commander/Torpedo/Rock-n-Roll at the Cartersville Walmart a day or two ago (not terribly far from my house, oddly enough)...checked it out this morning and only a lowly Cobra air trooper left...

Found Wave 6 today at the Wal Mart in Suwanee. I only saw one case though and I bought the Battle Armor CC, Rock N Roll, and Torpedo. Also, as of yesterday, the Target in Buford had all of the Wave 3 comic packs in stock except for the twins pack as well as a mix of Waves 4 and 5 (no Flash, Destros, Snow Job, or SS).

The Walmart at the Chamblee area near the MARTA station had Wave 4 minus the the air trooper. I picked up 2 SS and a Destro.

Checked the West Cobb Target yesterday - had 'em look up the DPCI and they have yet to hit anywhere in the metro area according to the incredibly nice CSR girl...someone mentioned they are supposedly street dated until 4/13, but this hasn't seemed to stop the left coast....

I called the Target in Savannah and in Brunswick Thursday and Friday. Neither had them. When I called Thursday and asked for the toy department I was told the number was active .When I called Friday and had customer service look it up neither store could find it on the first try. The one in Savannah looked it up under clearance items and it worked but they came up $10 and sold out which I find very unlikely. I will try again in a few days. If they weren't so far away I would just go check myself.

The Target in Peachtree City has the exclusives (2 cases left). They also had some comic packs and Wave 2 single figures. I remember Beachead, Cobra Trooper, Storm Shadow in Joe Uniform, Shipwreck, and Cobra Commander in Hood.

Walked into the Target in Kennesaw, ran the DCPI, a helpful employee picked a case outta the back for me...the $5 coupon still works as well...the guy said there were plenty of cases there as well, but didn't mention the street date (nor did I see it on the case - he opened it right in front of me)....I am pretty sure I flashed back to 1985....

I called three Target's today and the third had them in the back. For some reason they didn't come up on their scanner guns but the person I talked to went into the back and pulled them. He has them waiting up front for me to pickup tomorrow. The only bad thing is I have to drive 100+ miles to get them and it is at a Target I haven't been to yet. Time to Google Map this place.

at least a week or two ago i stopped in midweek at the newer super walmart on cobb pkwy and it was loaded down with them too. i guess the area distribution center is getting rid of them before wave 7 comes in.

So is anyone else in the greater Atlanta area feeling a bit bummed about how no one seems to have found any wave 7 figures and yet everywhere else in the country these figures are being found????


Just finished a long day of hunting and after going to more stores than you can count on two hands and not a single indication that wave 7 is out in North Atlanta. Hit Wally worlds, TRUs, targets and super target pratically every possible store between Buford to Lawrenceville to Duluth and even out in Stone MT. Nothing. Even the Walmarts I hit tonite after staring at the shipments on palettes nothing, tons of Ironman, HLK, Indiana Jones, and Batman but NO WAVE 7 JOES.

If you are a troop builder looking for armies North Atlanta is the place to go. There are Joes to be found just not wave 7.

VIPER: Check Target on Scenic Highway and Ronald Reagan in snellville. Had all three figures there as of yesterday.

Hitting a few more stores tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Georgia really is so random with it distribution. I have a friend in DC and we got the wave 2 revision before he saw any but when it came to wave 5, I never saw a single one on the shelf until wave 6 came out and I still have never seen flash on the peg, lucky for me my mother did and scooped it up in Florida for me.

Heading out in just a few but something tells me I may all ready be late.

Any body been to the TRU and Target in Tucker right off of 285 today???

I guess I must be one of the luckier Joe fans in Georgia because I found a whole case of wave 7 Thursday. I found them here in Baxley. I would have thought that since I had them everyone else in Georgia would have had them at least 2 or 3 days before me. When I went to see Iron Man last night I checked another Wal-Mart about 45 miles away but no luck. Hopefully more will show up around me soon.

If it is anything like Baxley they should get shipments in Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (I think those are the days). Tuesday and Thursday seem to be the week days they put figures out but they may put them out any day of the week. I found wave 4 (only got Duke and Air Trooper since I don't usually collect carded), and wave 7 on a Thursday (different days of course) and wave 6 on a Friday.

I didn't know there was a collector in Brunswick. I don't head up that way very often though. Sometimes I have to go to get my oil changed at the dealership or to find Target exclusives (your Target is the closest to Baxley that I know of). Then again sometimes I head up there just to be looking since I like Target and have decent luck when I head up there.

The Walmart I work at got in 3 cases of wave 7 lastnight. BTW, I work at the Super Walmart on Cobb Pkwy in Acworth; not the new one by Hwy 92, the older one 3 miles south of it. I picked up 2 Vipers, Wild Bill and a HISS driver, but there was still plenty left. Here's what was left when I left work at 7:45 theis morning:

Snake Eyes = 4
Duke = 2
Wild Bill = 1
Spirit = 2
HISS driver = 1
Viper = 2

I also checked before I left and the Chastain Meadows (Town Center Mall) Walmart got in one case lastnight as well. The Hiram and Dallas stores are each getting one case a store tonight too. The Dallas store tends to stock early, so you might want to show up early.


I am now a happy panda, eagerly awaiting wave 8! :D I'll still pick up some more Vipers though; I think 10 will be my limit. I could have gotten the other 2 before I left work, but I wanted to give someone else a chance to shout for joy!

Just read in the FL sightings that St. Mary's GA has Wave 8. So wave 8 is in GA just a matter of time till they come to a store near you. The hunt is on, AGAIN.

The wal Mart in Griffin Ga (as of 11pm)had a case of 7 (damaged) and wave 8 case. Valdosta, GA had 4 cases of wave 7 (as of 3 pm), and macon GA (as of 5pm)exit 3 on 475 had a case of wave 7.

Super Target on 92 and Hardscrabble: I was in Marietta on the 23rd and I stashed 2 Vipers for local collectors They were behind the wrestling belts. They also had Spirit and Duke. No Comic Packs. I went to post my find that day using my phone, but it didn't work for some reason.

Mall of Georgia Target had some wave 4 comic packs today. All they had was 2 Firefly/Stormshadow and 2 Copperhead/Shipwreck packs, no Duke/Red Stars. I bought the 2 FF/SS packs and 1 of the CH/Shippy packs so I could use the coupon. As of about 2:00pm today the shippy pack was still there.

picked up a copperhead/shipwreck comic pack tonight at the super wally on cobb pkwy next to sam's and the rest of wave 7 there too. and saw the CC from wave 8 there. throw in a mix of star wars EVO troops & the royal guard figures, and it turned into a decent haul.

If you're referring to my post, I was in town for 2 days and was only able to check the Super Target mentioned above and a SWM across from a Ci-Ci's Pizza, I don't recall what road that was on. Neither had wave 4 comic packs. I would've shit if I saw them. I'm just not expecting them to hit in my area, but I was aware they were hitting everywhere else.
I may be moving to the area soon and will aid in the hunt, and try not to impact demand too much. (No worries, I am a loose single fig collector with 2-4 doubles at most on army builders. I do have 3 HISS tanks but those were insane deals!)

I found some Wave 8s but those were far and few in between at Walmarts. No comic packs at Walmarts as well. I think they are trickling in. Targets are bare as hell.

Gainesville Walmart has good stock on wave 7 but no new comic packs. Oakwood walmart has been getting wave 8 but someone keeps buying most off the shelf before I have a chance to buy any. The oakwood Walmart has wave 7 Duke and wave 7 Vipers "25th" marking and 8 Vipers with "seen in cartoon" marking on the packages, as well as many cobra troopers, air troopers and two cobra commaders with the helmet both walmart have the good stock on the comic pack that have been on the shelves.

The Targets in Gainesville and Flowerybranch has not been stocking up as of late

Here are my latest finding. As of last night, the Walmart on Pleasant Hill road across from Gwinnett Place Nissan 3 cases of wave 8 and as of this morning Target at Mall of Georgia had one case of wave 8. I have my fill of wave 8, but for those of you who need it here is are some locations. If you need them and can't get to these places let me know I can try and help out. Have helped out a few people here in the area already.

Hello Fellow Tankers. Longtime lurker, first post. I felt like it was time for me to be a part of the this community instead of hiding in the shadows. I live in Alpharetta, GA and work in Cumming, GA. The Cumming Target (at GA 20 & GA 400) has 4-5 cases of wave eight. This is essentially the same road that the Mall of GA is on just West of Buford for about 15-20 miles. They had about 6 cases on Monday and some type of revision with Firefly, Snake-Eyes Commando, and Zartan. These were wiped out within a day or two. I cannot be believe they got more in so quickly but there you go. 3 Major Bludds left and plenty of the rest.

I have been customizing figures for around 10 years and hope to share some good stuff with the rest of the board soon. Good Luck in everyone's search.

I didn't say what Joe item it was for, but did say I was wanting to know if I give them Item # for a particular Gijoe Item they would look it up so see if they have it. They said sure and entered into there computer. She them said yes we do have Item # gijoe vehicle. I said thank you :)

So I think it will be good to keep an eye on that store :)

Oh and one very big surprise, for me anyway, was finding wave 8 at Target in Gainesville. not very many mind you 3 the be exact, but none you couldn't already get at Walmart

Nothing really today my wife picked me up two more vipers at a walmart in buford.

I checked the nearest K-Mart to me and unfortunately no vehicles. At least wave 8 is appearing in my area. I got wave 8 on Friday 13th and yesterday I saw 2 Roadblock, 2 Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, Baroness, and Major Bludd. I do wish wave 7 would show up a few more times so I could get another H.I.S.S. Driver. Still no wave 4 comic packs but at least HTS has them.

After finding out that wave 5 comic packs will not have Doc redemption stickers -I scooped up the last three Crimson Guard comic packs at the Dallas Hwy Wal-Mart. This location does have a carded Gung-Ho,Scarlett & two single carded Crimson Guards.

Swung buy the Marietta Target at lunch today (by the Big Chicken)...Marietta PD had something interesting going on in the parking lot (one of those elevated observation 'pods' so they can sit and watch the parking lot)...just a few old Cobra troopers were hanging on the peg...

Yeah, the Town Center Target had that going a few weeks ago. It may have something to do with vehicle break-ins.

Im in Conyers and there aint ever crap out here. No yellow stalker, no shark tat shipwreck, no snake eyes with black timber. My brother happened to find the anchor and shark tat at the same wal mart (Cobb Parkway where Mars music used to be). Got me those for my birthday. KICK ARSE! Is the Kmart still in business at Linderberg(h) Plaza in ATL???

P.S. , Go hit the Book Nook on Bufford Hwy if its still there for those older GI JOE comics. I got many many many there years ago. Not only those but very valuable spiderman, xmen, etc comics there years ago and never seem to be short on them.

I stopped by at the walmart off of lawrencevill hwy. and law-suwanee. They had no figures of the new waves just the usual peg warmers, but I did manage to find a single red ninja hanging up where the star wars figures were. I had to pick it up.

But after all these cons pics lookout, going to need to save a bit of money to get those things that I really want. But there is one thing that I am a bit disappointed about and that is NO ALPINE.

Walmart between Hurricane Shoals and 316: Nothing except 3 each of CH/SW and FF/SS comic packs. This was as of Friday Night.
