Just curious if anyone in Ga customizes their Joes? I was thinking
about starting and was wondering if anyone had any quick tips
as far as where to buy paints and which kind?

I know there is a customizing thread in the main forum, but thought it would be helpful getting tips from people from Ga

welcome to the customizing world. i get most of my paints from hobby town or hobby lobby. i use testors model master acylic paints. they work really well for me and they dry fast. make sure to get some good brushes, i use the ones that cost around 5 bucks each. i know there are more expensive but i have found that to be a good price range to get a good brush. i get most of my brushes from micheals. as far as using other heads most other lines that are in the 3.75 in to 4 in will work. just make sure they are mounted the same as the 25th joes. u can use hot glue to make them fit if they are to loose. get a good desk lamp that u can aim at the figure you are painting, good light can make all the difference. I'm working on a sgt slaughter right now and and have about 6 more in the planning stage. so far i have done life line, air tight, claymore, heavy metal, law and order, free fall, bomb strike, hit and run, my self, sam fisher(splinter cell), gi joe troppers. just go on yo joe.com and look around the old figures and find someone u want to paint and go for it. Acworth Super Target finally has one of each of the newish dvd sets (Pyramid of Darkness and Rise Serpentor, Rise)...passed on them both...Quick kick as a figure looks pretty rough...

Oakwood wamlart has 3 snow serpents and they have the dvd packs on sell for $15.00 right now, however only have two weather dominator packs

no, the deep six, CC, RnR, etc wave. I also found all of the new dvd packs at the target in Snellville. I saw the same dvd packs at both snellville and stn mtn walmarts now that I think about it.

Thanks for the tip. I snagged the moccasin and Ghost Hawk today. There's still a firebat (but AVAC paint is not perfect) and SHARC at Tucker walmart.

just got back from MOG Target.
They reset the toy aisles.
Wave 13 all figures on hand, no new vehicles or DVD but they did have the Joe Mighty Muggs and the UBP were on sale for 44.

Saw one each of DVD packs 3, 4 and 5 at the Kennesaw Toys R Us this afternoon. They also had 1 Para Viper, 1 Bazooka Trooper and TONS of the latest SRO packs (they were further down the isle).

Still no new cp's... which makes me sad. :(

Went to Target on Steve Renolds blvd: they got nada except Wave 10 leftovers. THey got lots of vehicles except the latest. Went to TRU on Pleasant hill and they have tons of SROs and vehicles but still peg warming serpy and Duke from Wave 7. TRU in buckhead is the same story.

Got over to Flowery Branch Target. They didn't have anything Joe wise except a beachhead main-frame pack which I finally picked up.

They did have new Forces of Valor: Team Bravo 1:18 scale para-trooper with real working parachutes I saw them last night. They look great and the come with weapons and other accessories too. They also have in 3 Bradly Fighting Vehicles.

Found Ghost Hawk, Sting Raider, and DVD Battles # 3, 4, and 5 at the Super Walmart on Cobb Pkwy in Marietta yesterday early afternoon. Only grabbed the Ghost Hawk and DVD set #3 (b/ Dusty had the harness). Would've gotten Sting Raider too, but budget's tight. The action figure aisle at this store is a disaster. Everything is jumbled together. I only happened to find all of these items together on a side aisle towards the health/beauty section on the bottom shelf. Almost missed them.

Now if TRU would just drop the prices on the SRO2 sets again, I'd be all set.

I went to the John's Creek Target, MoG Target, MoG Walmart, MoG TRU, and Buford K-Mart yesterday and found nothing new. On Sat went to Windward Target, Cumming, Target, HWY 9 Walmart and Cumming Walmart and I only found one resolute CC. Waste of time... I am looking for Duke resolute, eels and resolute troopers.

just got back from the Gainesville target and the are dooing the something.

Figs of interest are 2 bat did have 3 but I pick up one. The had 4 snow serpents

The also have Gung/Fred-CC pack and Viper/Iron Grenadier packs

Picked up the POD dvd set at the Target in Athens along with the Beachhead/Mainframe CP.

Good find... I pick up a Beachead/Mainframe CP, but Beachhead has a loose arm and his torso was turn backward and the hands where on the wrong arms so I'm looking for another CP Beachhead anyway i saying that just so that you might be aware of the possible flaw before you open it. The best way to check would be to look for the 75 on his arm. If it is on the right arm them his torso is reversed. It should be on his left arm

I am looking for Duke resolute, eels and resolute troopers.

I'll keep an eye out for them for ya

All free to anyone that wants them. Local pickup only. I'm in the Brookhaven area.

Also have tons of broken down flat Star Wars vehicle boxes for pretty much everything released 95 to 2002. Also FREE but these are up in Cumming at my parents house and I won't be able to get them until next week sometime (sold off my collection and thought the boxes were long gone but they showed up in the attic).

Why are you not selling this stuff. I be interested in the stretchers and what appear to be sleds in the random corp stuff but that a bit a drive just for that. also what appears to be there cobra hurricane is there any more parts to it that in the box

When I left they had 1 Resolute Duke, 3 Torches, 2 Cobra Divers, 3 Crimson Python Patrol, 2 Tripwire, 2 Airborne and 2 Mutts.

For some reason I ventured out to the Winder Wal Mart and found the Best of The 80's DVD and a Sting Raider. They had 2 POD Dvd's in stock 1 Rise Serpentor DVD in stock.

which one is the flowery branch target? i've noticed a few targets today that had the wave 12 set out with cobra divers, etc.

and keep seeing that the ninja viper has weird paint apps on the eyes/eyebrows like he just sharted himself. same w/ the cobra trooper. it's like they let a worker with a lazy eye or cross eyes paint those two figures

I'm hoping wave 12 starts appearing here soon. It is the one wave I have yet to see. Lucky for me I got a set from HTS but I'm wanting a few more Python Crimson Guards. Hopefully the new wave 8 comic packs show up soon too.

There are a few Transformers Universe Deluxe wave 4 but I don't think they have Starscream and Animated Deluxe wave 5. I think they have the Legends Class Beachcomber and Animated Starscream.

They also have the new Transformers Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm pack but they only have one left after the one I got. They also have Animated Deluxe wave 5, a lot of which are on one of the clearance aisles.

Edit: I saw Transformers Universe wave 4 in Waycross not wave 5.

There are a few of each (not sure about tripwire) of wave 12 at the target off roswell road at the prado inside of 285. Even good paint apps on the cobra troopers faces, and relatively good ones on the ninja vipers.

Nothing new on the westside of Atlanta. I hit Cobb Parkway from Toys R Us to the WalMart by the Big Chicken and didn't really see anything.

The WalMart by the Big Chicken had the best of the 80's dvd set. It was on the mega cluster mess toy isle.

Everyone looks like they are doing their resets, so it might be a while before something new comes in.

Hey Jason, no worries. Those are two 'if I have the money and can't find anything else I'm really interested in' purchases for me; would have picked them up yesterday, along with the Resolute Commander at TRU, but just couldn't afford it til payday.

The only Joe I *really* want but haven't found yet is Airborne.

The only Joe I *really* want but haven't found yet is Airborne.

I will let you know if I find an Airborne in my area. He isn't on my list since I mainly collect Cobra w/ a few Joe exceptions. Let me know if you see a Ninja Viper!

Lots of people thought that since the wave seemed to get 'skipped' back before Christmas at retail. Seems like it's now trickling out.

At the midtown target, I saw the ubp for 28 bucks. They had the rerelease of wave 4 on white cards too. The storm shadow, duke scarlett, gung ho, roadblock and destro were there. I forgot to look for fixed arms on the duke but I'm sure the news will hit one way or the other.

The Gainesville Walmart has finally got the vehicles in. Sadly no Skyhawk or Water Moccasin but the do have a Fang/Claw set. The Gainesville Target has the new comic packs however no resolute packs :(. They where complete sold out of single except one Bazooka

Went to the Super Target off Cobb Pkwy (Acworth) Saturday morning after work and found 1 Tunnel Rat and Shockwave(blast) comics. I grabbed one of each and left 1 Shockwave(blast), but I know that Black Rose already snagged it. :D

On a side note, has anyone know of a good site for Star Wars sightings in Georgia? That line is sending out more right now and I'm trying to keep an eye our for the new wave.

Just noticed a new toy line at the Norcross Target, Freedom Ops Network. Joe style style figs with the markings of the 4 branches of US military. the paint apps looked pitiful but they might have some neat accessories. They had one desert buggy vehicle to go along with the figures.

I was at the Oakwood Walmart about 3:00 just looking around, as saddy my wallet is strained right now :( and something I noticed, first there's nothing new, but the are doing inventory so may be soon, however next it the important part. The price of comic pack and vehicles have gone up. The vehicles now sell for $16.98 and comic pack now sell for $12.88. I can see comic packs going up, however I would at least thought they'd have a sell first to get rid of older stock.

anyway this might be something to keep n eye out for at other Wally-Worlds

There are several Hasbro products that have a price increase at Wal-Mart. Most of these are Transformers related. It is nation wide. Below is what I saw today.

I saw a Blowtorch this weekend at the TRU on Barrett Parkway. While looking at it, I noticed that it was a repack. Lots of glue all over the edge of the bubble and on the card.

Heh, there were still 14 at the WR Target after I bought my one at 13.74. They were all gone within 3 days. I think if you missed out on it at this point, it's too late.

On a sadder note, WR Target restocked with two cases of the weird ass Wave 4 revision...so we probably won't see any new stock here for a while.

Picked up the new Resolute comic packs at the Perimeter Mall target at lunchtime. They also had out the wave 12 figures with tripwire, cobra diver, etc.

WR Target added another case of the wave 4 revision. Watson WM also stocked 4 cases of this revision. The outlook for future waves and/or wv 12/13 restocks here in Warner Robins are pretty bleak, cause these figures will never sell.

There is nothing but Revision 4 cases all over the Macon / Milledgeville area as well. I was able to grab a Sting Raider/Copperhead and Firebat/AVAC with good paint apps at the Wal-Mart on Gray Hwy. Last night I drove out to Wal-Mart in Eatonton and picked up the Wave 1 Cobra Officer on a Mint 25th foil card. I also grabbed a Wave 2 Cobra Soldier on a Mint 25th foil card. They had one Wave 2 Soldier left, but the card was bent up. I may hit up the KMart in Macon and Wal-Mart in Forsyth tonight to see if I can luck up on something.

No. I checked them at the scanning unit in their software/music department. They're at $20. Which is a huge letdown considering there's the 40% off tag on the shelf right next to it, but it's for "select toys" and not the sets. Also sad, the optimus prime w/ DVD anniversary pack isn't on clearance there yet.

Anyway, the Wal-Mart closer to perimeter mall has one each of the new comic packs. Saw some tall guy blazing past me with one of each and some TF's(i think?) as I was walking over to the aisle.

I also scored another Best of 80's DVD pack at Target in Macon. They had the Wave 1 Marvel 3 3/4 figures at KMart in Milledgeville. They looked good but they were $9.99 a piece. They had everyone but the 2 Hulks.

For those of you with the new MLU figures in hand, what's your take. The only figure I've picked up so far is Iron Man. My only real problem with it are the joints. The chest joint is very loose on mind. Then the hip joints are very tight. All around the quality of the construction does not seem as high as GIJ or SW for the money. The articulation was nice, but I was hoping for better. Is this only my experience

It's not just you. My Punisher's right knee is pretty weak, and DD's joints just feel fragile. I'd be particularly careful moving them around too much if they are the non-balljointed hip type (like DD); with the plastic T-crotch pieces they used as opposed to the metal ones in the Joe figures, it seems like they're going to have breakage problems.

Overall though I like them, and I'm looking forward to picking up some more. Especially liked some of the stuff they showed at Toyfair.

I spent too much on Joes this weekend. For the first time ever I picked everything I needed at the Wal-Mart on Eisenhower Pkwy in Macon, GA. I picked up a Joe 5 pack, a Cobra 5 pack, a Resolute 5 pack, and the Wave 12 Ninja Viper. I also saw Matt Trakker and Airborne at the Target in Macon. Wal-Mart on Gray Hwy still has 3 Joe box sets and 3 Cobra box sets. I went to the Milledgeville Wal-Mart also and picked up another Resolute 5 pack. Also I saw the Wolverine Origins Combat Heroes that included both Deadpool with Mask and without, but I didn't see the 3 3/4 figures anywhere.

I hit up the wal mart in milledgeville, ga tonight. They had 1 resolute box set and the new cobra and joe 5 packs. The best thing was that as i was walking in they were putting out the new wolverine origin figures. I grabbed a deadpool, brown variant wolverine, and a 3 3/4 marvel x-force wolverine. Found a case of wave 12 at the Town Center SWM today. Picked up a Cobra Diver finally. Not sure if the repaint is worth it, but who knows when I'll see him in stores again. That about closes up my GIJ hunting until the movie toys. Even then, I haven't seen many that I would really want except for the NIght Raven, Rock Slide, and a couple figures.

WR TRU got two more cases of W12, which had been a little picked over already when I got there. I picked up one diver, left the other because he was missing an air tank from his backpack. Also left the only Ninja Viper due to a big red paint app running across his chest beside the COBRA logo.

Nothing new on Marvel today, so I guess it's wait til next week for another truck on those. Hope they get more than a case or two at a time.

Good, I don't have to make a long drive to WR today. I finally got a Ninja Viper last week. I am finding all of the Marvel and Wolverine Origin figures in Macon and Milledgeville. Walmart in Cornelia stocked a LOT of marvel stuff today. They had all of the first series of Marvel Universe, but only 1 each of the variant Torch and Bullseye.

They also had Wolverine Origins too. I found all the logans, 2 deadpools, 1 Maverick, 1 Gambit, 1 weapon x wolverine, and 1 xmen movie version sabretooth.

I got both deadpools (one for me and one for a friend) and the bullseye! That was a super awesome find.
But the others are still there.

They also have Leo Prime(?) and Inferno from the transformers classic line if anyone is looking for them, plus the Wolverine and the Xmen toon figures. No new joe stuff though. only a couple of bazookas and about 4 vipers with two packs of the dreadnoks.

For those of you in the middle ga area. The Target in Macon has 2 of each Resolute Comic pack. I really don't care for them that much, so I left them behind and picked up a Marvel Universe Bullseye. They also had all of the new box sets, and a revision Crimson Guard and Ninja Viper.

I saw some interesting 25th foil stamped figures at the Douglasville WM yesterday. Torpedo, Snow Job, Crimson Guard and a few others. If anyone is a completest, you may get lucky there. BTW, I've been seeing plenty of 5 packs all along I20 between ATL and Birmingham. I found a few good deals, 11 bucks for dvd packs. Also saw some ghost hawks, but at 17 bucks!

Target in WR got a case of wave 13; they also have one Tiger Rat, one Python Conquest, and 4 Resolute packs. They also had several cases worth of MU wave 2. I picked up a green Hulk and a Cap.

WR TRU got in a case of wave 12, a case of the Resolute comic packs, and a case of Resolute/Joe/COBRA 5 packs. They had also gotten in at least two cases of MU wave 1, but, alas, still no Bullseye for me.

Thanks to Darth Foley, I was able to pick up the MU Wave 2 Hulk at the Target in WR. I was hoping to get a Cap and a Ronin, but they were already gone. The only other one from wave 2 was Iron Fist, but I passed on him for now. I was also able to pick up the Wolverine Origins Wolverine w/ Motorcycle / Sabretooth 2 pack from TRU. The Sabretooth is worth the $20 bucks alone, but the Wolverine is pretty cool as well. For anyone one looking for the Wolverine Origins wave 2 movie figures, they are at the Wal Mart on Gray Hwy in Macon and also at the Wal Mart in Milledgeville. The only one really worth picking up is the Deadpool. I have seen about 7 or 8 of them in the last 2 days. The Creed with long black leather jacket is pretty decent, but I passed on him for now. Now only if I could find a tiger stripe Wolverine with decent paint apps. As for Joes, I have seen a lot of Wave 13 and many Resolute and New Joe and Cobra 5 packs.

Finally found wave 2 of Marvel Universe today!

here was the rundown from Toccoa Walmart:

Ronin x1
Hulk (green) x2
Green Goblin x1
Iron Fist x1
Captain America x1

I got the Captain America, one of the Hulks and the Green Goblin. I thought Iron Fist looked alright but the lack of an actual fist on him is kinda silly. the Ronin looked really cool but after reading how much his skirt takes away from leg articulation made him a pass for me.
Well, that and all i could afford was the 3 I bought. lol.

oh and they had one of the wolverine origins series 2 Deadpools. They had 3 or 4 of them there last week.

and they also had series 1 torch, iron man, spidey, silver surfer and black panther. Just weird how last week they had none of either series.

Found remnants of Wave 12 at Kennesaw Target today. They had one Cobra Diver still on the pegs. They also had a bunch of Cobra troop builders too (infantry, paratroopers, anti-aircraft, jet-pack).

Also had remnants of MU wave 3. Picked up Classic IM and black costume SM. Looking for modern Ms. Marvel and Thing, as well as a replacement Cap since the one I've found has very loose joints and a broken ankle. Let me know if anyone sees them in Kenn, Acworth, or Woodstock. - B

I bought my Cap online. In fact, I have been buying a lot of joes and mu online lately instead of trying to search them in stores. Also, I don't come here and post what I have found as much as I used to because there are other people out there who come here to check the thread and then go straight to the stores before other tankers have a chance to do so, which makes me sick.

Nope just not seen anything worth mention in my area. We're good if you need resolute 5 packs or the new Joe and cobra 5 packs, but other that nothing worth reporting.

I agree and when you ask them they say they don't know when there will be getting more.

Has anyone seen a Resolute Tunnel Rat/SS pack recently? I've just finally decided that I want one.

MU Wave 3 is very elusive right now. I've only come across it that one time this past week. Classic IM is very cool, although he has some loose joints (a thing which seems to plague this line). Cap is awesome and well worth the hunt! His only problem is that the shield does not stay in his forearm very easily. Still trying to find Ms. Marvel and Thing. I really resent how these figures are more expensive (but less quality) that SW and GIJ though.

For Cap, what I did is to put the shield on his arm and then twist it once to 'double' loop the little elastic bands, then clip it onto his arm. Seems to make the hold a lot more secure.

Everytime I go out all I see is like one figure and that is human torch. Any one have an idea when we are supposed to get the TRU 5 pack of vipers??? Yeah, saw the Terminator figures at K-Mart in Buford. They are, what is the word I'm looking for.......awful. I saw where someone described them as cheap looking dollar store figures and I would have to agree. That could have been a pretty cool toy line if they would spend a little extra on articulation and paint apps.

No wave 2 or 3 MU anywhere else that I've seen yet, though I will be checking Target tomorrow at lunch just in case.

TRU had two of each figure from the new BNB wave, so there was one Sarge left as of yesterday 1pmish...no idea if he's still there though. I picked up a Santino as well, everything else was still there.

MOG TRU had a whole slew of the new Trek Figures. They had the bridge and transporter to.
