Also, why did you buy the retaliation figs at a premium on line. The retaliation figs will clog the shelves at 7-9 bucks a fig when they officially release next month at targets and wm.

All I want from retaliation is the dojo/showdown 3 packs (better ss, roadblock w/hands, se) joe trooper and maybe three red ninjas for the silent issue diorama. As far as vehicles go, the vamp, mocassin, and awe(if i-ching symbol is a sticker) interest me. The entire wave 1 is suck imho, the zartan might have been good for renegades fans but the colors are bad and the knife doesn't look like it comes out of the sheath.

It was the wave 3 SE w/2 silencer pistols. It was at the walgreens on five forks trickum near Oak Rd. out here in lawrenceville. I already had one so I didnt think to pick it up and it was the only figure hanging on the peg. I actually couldn't believe it was just sitting there like that.

I've seen them marked down at one Target $25. Not such a great deal to me, if they hit $18 then I'll pick up more. I hit a bunch of Targets last week and this was the only one that had them at clearance.

I kept warning them they'd show up soon and it was sooner than even I thought! I'm very excited about troop building on the cheap. I can pick up spare SS, SE and CC's as I'm only interested in one of those. I'll buy/trade for any spare shipwrecks, troopers or duke's as they've got the most custom potential.

There is nothing at the DG's along Hwy 41 in Marietta and Kennesaw so far. I checked this am. One of the posts in the main thread said to check the whole store, as they stash toys in multiple places. They had plenty of single pack ROC Midgit figures, or whatever they are called.

Four Dollar generals today, luck at one location. When I say luck, I found nothing on the aisle. There were two shipping bins laying open in another part of the store where I saw the white box peeking out. Had I not seen the case box pictures posted here beforehand I'd have missed it. Also got the $5 dollar off coupon which was a nice bonus for all that gas I spent. At one store, a lady told me she's received a few calls.

In hand these are an excellent value. Good mold selections, good paint apps and decent enough accessories.

The Shipwreck head is too large for the POC SE body and looks like a bobble head. I'm not a big fan of the Rengades pistol but it does fit in the leg like Duke. I'm curious if that little slot is where the holster fits in, I could steal one from useless Renegades Ripcord. Going to grab a few for customs once decapitations are performed.

Bummed that Duke doesn't come with two pistols. The body is OK since it's Zap with another head. A little bottom heavy but great for customs. I'll get a few more of these. I think the head makes for a good Ripcord. I don't think I've ever seen it on another figure.

The Cobra Officer is the best of the bunch, I will take any extras anyone is willing to trade/sell.

No sheath for SE or SS. SS is really nice in hand with the Renegades body and I like the SE webgear.

CC is simple, no frills but a solid figure. I'll be happy to pick up CC, SS and/or SE for anyone that's looking for them while I for more of the rest.

Yes, it would work well. You lose the leg holster since the legs come from resolute CC but gain the webgear with the sword/sheath and holster. Works a little better for an elite guard. If you have these (http://www.yojoe.com/action/05/crimsonguard8.shtml), you can use the helmet and the 25th Fred head or other substitute. You might want to paint the neck for skin tone since it's all black. You can also take the gold version of the sword and black/silver webgear from CC v40 and throw it on the black version to make him a little more regal in contrast to the silver on the guards.

Poop, I simply elaborated on your comment about the moreland store not being very helpful as I was just in that area which is kind of a bad part of town. As it happens, I did not find my set there. Moreland is the closest and first store I visited on Saturday. My sightings messages are directed for everyone's benefit unless I'm responding to a comment or question.

I don't know why you have a chip on your shoulder. It could be that you have continued to pay a high premium for figures that have or will show up in retail. Maybe it's the sting of paying $120-150 for a set of dollar store joes that cost $36 at retail.

The point of this board is to share information. I appreciate your post about not wanting to visit similar stores others have hit. From your posts, it seems you're canvasing the entire area by phone looking for figures. You live in midtown on 14th street so you're pretty much in the center of it all but willing to call about inventory at stores as far as Stone Mountain and Duluth to pick these figures up. I can only assume you're a scalper since you've already picked up two sets in Auburn, AL and one in Duluth not to mention the one you bought online from the Philippines.

I don't think these are going to be hard to find given some more time for store restocks and falling prices on eBay making them less profitable for resale. I'm glad these hit since the fever was hitting me and I was going to consider some retaliation figs that I should be avoiding.

My next coveted item is the ninja combat cruiser. Can't wait to dismantle it and make a Vamp mkII using the chassis from the POC Vamp mkI.

Problem is people are paying. Makes no sense when the description tells you exactly where to find them. I'm in OK and 4 out of 5 stores I hit had the figures. I picked up a few officers and left the rest. I'm certain these won't be hard to find if OK is any indication. Still want more officers.

Target at little five had two skystrikers that dropped from 30% to 50% off. You May want to check your nearby targets for additional markdowns. I couldn't resist picking up another. They've got a few jungle vipers half off as well if you missed them.

edit: So my wife was taking longer than expected. I had the target inventory checker and asked the associate if they had retaliation toys. I walked out with a Joe trooper with brown cape/gas mask for $9.99 (the only figure I want after seeing them all in person). She said she couldn't leave them on the sales floor but would allow me to buy what I wanted. The Zartan was tempting but lack of articulation will keep him out of my hands till clearance time. I've also got to find some replacement lower legs and hands with added articulation. They also had a black CC for those who care about the color. I think they had the 3 packs but as much as I like those, I'm going to wait for a sale. The joe trooper was an exception for the kid in me.

A tidbit of info on the joe trooper. This is hands down the best figure of the wave. The turtle neck part is glued on. It seems like it may be removable but I don't want to test it. The mold looks nice around the neck and it seems it's designed that way. I prefer the halo helmet so this head seems destined for a dreadnok custom. The webgear is really nice and malleable. Seems like it will fit on other figs well. The dual knife sheaths fell right off, the peg seems loose in the webgear but it could be from the heat today. I used the included little rubber band to hold it in place. The backpack and included accessories are pure awesome. Don't like the way the gas mask fits on the included head as the ears show on the sides. I prefer the one that came with poc beachhead. The joints on the figure are tight, the hands are designed so that the accessories fit tight in the hands and don't stretch out. I could really see army building these!

Scored the Dollar General Basic Assortment from the store on 124/near Centerville.

The guy on the checkout was a younger dude and I got talking to him about the figures (and the Ebay prices.) It turns out he collects Hot Wheels so he got what I was saying about price jacking and stuff.

But here's the thing - he had a pretty strong draaaawl so I'm not sure if he was talking about Joes or Hot Wheels toys (plus I was sorting my payment as he was speaking, so I was slightly distracted) but he said they'd only had one box and wouldn't be getting another until ''the Summer'' then one ''before Xmas.'' Like I say, whether he meant Hot Wheels at the store, if he meant he only bought Hot Wheels at that point or whether he meant the GI Joes I don't know, so don't panic but I'm just repeating what I (think I) heard.

BTW, the Target further along the road, plus the TRU at Stonecrest had nothing, new Joe-wise (indeed, the Target's shelves were utterly devoid of Joes, presumably ready for the release of the movie toys.)

This was only the third store I'd hit. But that said, I can't stress how easy they are to miss on the shelves. The pack is about 70% the size of a regular Joe card and the grey print tends to blend-in very easily. I'd thoroughly searched the racks and was about to walk out when they caught my eye - not because I recognized a GI Joe logo or anything but simply because I didn't recognize what the packaging was.

Good luck though - I'm sure we'll be seeing more of them soon.

I found my original set in a crate in the white shipping box. In Oklahoma, most were on the shelf in one of the two 4 foot hanging sections in toys. Sometimes they'd be on back to back aisles while other times they'd be staggered but facing eachother if that makes sense. They don't exactly have a planogram to follow.

I usually see a couple hanging around one of the Walmarts around me. I'd have bought them, but I already have a few. I think it's a decent army builder for a futuristic marine if you do some head swaps and add a decent helmet. You gotta love the pulse rifle. IMO, it's really an underated figure and I really don't see why he pegwarmed as much as he did. Oh well, better for us. :D

I picked up my DG set at the Buford DG. I picked them up when they first hit, however, they weren't on the shelves yet and one of the guys working there knew where it was in the back and got it for me.

Highly doubt it since product has already been shipped and stores have prepared shelf space for it. It would not be the first time movie toys arrived months before the movie release. I'm just disappointed this may shift whatever Hasbro had planned for a follow up.

Well, retaliation was put out at the edgewood target. They only got two cases of figures. The only figures that were missing were one Zartan, all four of the CC's (I think people think the black is some special variant) and one joe trooper as I'd gotten the other before they put them out last week. They had two of the 3 packs with the Rock but none of the other so I'm guessing they already sold. After seeing the Hisstank in person, I was not impressed. Thought the head might be useful for the DG CC version but it's hideous. Well, this is as good as it gets for the next 9 months unless we get more waves or the DG variants start showing up.

My wife got me a Cobra Trooper and my son a Zartan at the Inner Perimeter Wal-Mart in Valdosta. And the kicker is she turned on the charm and got them for $6.78 a piece. And I found all I the DG Joes except Storm Shadow in Dawson. I tried the $3.50 Price trick but she would only sell us one for $3.00 and full price for the others. I left the Cobra Commander behind though. The best store haul I've had forever.

Kmart is having 50% off on clearance toys this weekend. I was getting Lego, found no Joes but saw some other brands like Thundercats, Transformers, Star Wars (B Wing was cool for $15), etc that were heavily discounted as well.

I hit some DG stores on the extreme SW side and found a figure or two which I'll put up on my bst for anyone that wants them. Just too tired to go back out to the car to see which they were. I'll trade them straight up for retaliation joe troopers with brown capes. LMK via pm.

TRU at Stonecrest Mall (Lithonia) has the remnants of Retaliation Wave 1 - a Storm Shadow and a Cobra Trooper. I snagged the two three-figure packs and was tempted by the motorcycles (they actually look pretty neat, despite what some people have said) but passed. They still have the two aforementioned figures plus about six bikes.

Walmart in Conyers had the 10'' Roadblock and nothing else. Interestingly, their former Joe peg space appears as if it's being reallocated to the DKR toys (which are awful!)

I left a RET blue cc, ss, and se at the Town center (kennesaw) TRU. Tjey also have both 3 packs, one hiss, one plane, and the cycles. I got a CT, Rn, and the ninja cycle. My thoughts are as follows. The CT chute works, but it would be nbetter if u throw it from at least the 2nd story. He wont break his ankles as they are fused. The rn is a ren ss clone minus the accessories. The cycle is okand has good play value, but the frankenstein se is and insultbto the brand. I think im going to focus on ninjas for the rest of the RET line.

I like the slice and se, but the ss is not for me. It is good for accessories though. Kamakura in the other 3 pack is good, but the bh doesnt beat my favorite bh (1st 25th bh), and the rock is good for being the rock i guess. Maybe you could sell him to a wwf fan.

The Storm Shadow is a bit ''Hey Look! I'm a Cobra Ninja!'' thanks to that massive logo but I like him. I have to say Kamakura is a bit of a let-down, though - it seems his legs are different lengths and I'm struggling to get his ''hero'' pose. The wobbly hood doesn't help, either...!

A nice thing about the black UZI in the DOJO set is that it comes with the removable silencer which is good to give to those DG Black Officers. Too bad there's no extra pistols.

Alright, I got the DG figs I picked up the other day from my car. I've got a Duke, SE, CC and Shipwreck up for trade. Looking for the 3 pack BH or retaliation joe trooper.

I pretty much like the POC wave 3 SE mold in any color! Every figure they've made with it is pure awesome. I'm looking forward to the variant Shipwreck with that green color! I think there's a guy on taobao that has the ankle holster knives for sale, might be worth ordering a couple. I'm outfitting the black officers with the trooper pistol/silencer and using the non silenced pistol that came with SE/Stalker with the regular troopers.

I know there were better figures coming but when I saw wave 1 and only wanted the joe trooper, the movie and now toy delay hasn't really effected me too much. Still enjoying the DG set I picked up and

Other than my original set which I found near 285/20 in a stocking bin, I've only found two other stores that had singles down near Peachtree City. I have a feeling they just haven't hit in force yet here but then again there are members calling stores and possibly cleaning them out before anyone has a chance to get more =/. I'm absolutely certain these will not be hard to find in the long run.

I found some evidence to support the variants eventually hitting. I noticed below the figure name two asst numbers. A0426 and A0423. The white box the sets come in have a number A04232050. Assuming there is a correlation, the variant white boxes will show A0426xxxx. It was too hot early today to go hunting but it's cooled down quite a bit.

Toysrus has bogo 50% off on retaliation figs in their ad. $7.50 a figure if you can find them in pairs. I only found a red ninja, zartan and the guaranteed peg warmer se, roadblock, ss and duke. Looks like TRU stores only got two cases each and most have sold more than half from the inventory screen I peeked at. The sale goes all week so maybe more stock will make it's way out.

My educated guess would be other than a restock of the first retaliation wave at retailers, we're not going to see any new product in retail till March. It's possible some POC product could be dumped into tjmaxx/marshalls/ross. I'm looking forward to saving some money and the DG color variants of shipwreck, Cobra Officer and Duke.

At the 2 I've been to (Johns Creek and Buford) they had a ton of the AotC wave similar to what has been see at Marshall's/TJ Maxx. There were some on the back wall and a bunch up front at the cash register.

BTW, I noticed the Target in Buford seemed to be stuffed with Retaliation pegwarmers (SE, SS, The Rock). I think there was a Zartan and Duke. Not sure if it's a bunch of returns but it sure seemed that way to me. In any case I got my clearance Skystrikers so I'm good. Not looking to pick anything up from Retaliation.

checked the one out near perimeter mall today, it had the lego & playmobile blind pack figures and kidrobot blind box stuff for their All City Breakers and Bent World Beats series. They had some SW fighter pods type of things but no figures that I saw. Oh, and some Angry Birds crap.
