Did anyone think the 4 episodes + movie intro were the right choice for a best of?

Why do you think of all the G.I. Joe episodes were those 4 the winners (specifically "My Favorite Things" of the Serpentor season?)

Runner ups or other choices you thought would've made a better best of (includes D.I.C.)?

Post here.

I seriously think they picked the episodes by sticking a list on a wall and throwing darts at it.

The funny part is, it says the episodes were fan-picked. What fans? I never saw a vote on it.

Oh I hope this thread doesn't turn into a "what's your favorite episode" thread. But I agree, their choices of "best of" are pretty laughable.

I like the darts theory.
I hate "favorite things" Serpentor had a magical moustache that could vanish once he looked at something he liked in a past life. Jesus, that moustache still blows my mind. It's hair...so where does it go once it's long and then gone? Does it fall on the floor like science tells me it would? NO! it fades away. freakin magic!

Those episodes were generally terrible picks. Fan choices, my ass. Of anyone, don't you think we Über-Joe-Nerds of the Tank, or at least ONE of the fan sites, would have heard about a vote?

At least one or 2 of the episodes wasn't on the Rhino DVDs, at least I think they weren't... It was supposed to be the movie, but some sort of rights licensing didn't pan out, so they cut it to the Movie Intro (so the toy choices at least made sense) and tacked on a few more single episodes.

That's what happened in my book, anyways.

I thought I remember someone mentioning that fans were polled at a Con or fair...something like that. perhaps in 2007? I'm pretty sure it wasn't an online poll like the Hall of Zeros, errr, Heroes ;)

That vote was sooooo 2007.

Who knows, if they polled it like the HoH, who knows what we would have gotten. Perhaps worse. :)

They should of just had a poll on the site and put the best 4 in that were not already released....but that would make sense.

That would be all Season 2 Part 2, correct?

Longest Day, are any of those Serpentor episodes?

xFlintx, where's a Jem character in your sig pic? ;)

No just curious as to whether you prefer Cobra Commander over Serpentor... or if those episodes' stories were just better.

The song wasn't that good. Galaxy Rangers' "Battle of the Bandits'" 'Psychocrystal' was a much better rocker.
If this is Ford Kinder/Anne Bryant music, then the Jem tunes are much better!

One episode not included they should have added 2 parter "THE TRAITOR" Where Dusty sells out and joins Cobra and is fighting in arena with Claymore.

Don't even care about Transformers anymore.
Fun while I played with the toys, but now... what was the point of the cartoon?

i thought the audio on the dvd was bizarre. some were separate left and right track audio instead of a mix, and felt slopped together from the film telecine or something. And who didnt miss the gratuitous lady jaye in nightgown scenes. woot

I still don't understand that. Hasbro owns the rights to GI Joe so how in the hell could they lose the rights to re-release GI Joe the Movie on DVD? I picked up a DVD copy of the movie back in 2002 or 2003 at Best Buy or something so I know they've already released it once this century.

Yeah, the best of Serpentor's moustache. We got a whole montage of moustaches. No toothbrush moustache though, Serpentor might be tough enough to have a handlebar moustache but not a Hitler 'stache. I new he didn't have it in him.
